Marvel Prompt~♡
Steve: Bucky, I love you, but could you let go?
(Steve was being cuddled so tightly in Bucky's arms, trapped in Bucky's room, being nuzzled.)
Bucky: Mine.
Steve: I know, but- *Ehh!*
(Steve tried to pull away. He fails obviously.)
Bucky: Mine.
Steve: *Ehh!*
Bucky: Mine.
Steve: *Ehh!!*
(Bucky kisses Steve.)
Bucky: MINE.
Steve: For the love of...

[Tony, in the kitchen, sipping coffee.]
[A wild Bucky appears. He hugs the currently alone Tony, being a big affectionate teddy bear.]
Bucky: Hug.
Tony: Hello, Buckaroo.
[Tony continues to sip coffee.]
[A wild Steve appears. Decking Bucky out of the room and taking his place, hugging the Tony.]
Steve: Hug.
Tony: *snorts* Hello, Cap.
[The wild Bucky returns, tackling Steve. Both super soldiers brawling for the right to have morning hugs from the Tony.]
[Tony watches the fight, sipping his coffee.]
Tony: I love my life.

Prompt: Loki has become an avenger, but now is struggling to fit in and belong in the team. Loki has difficulty with his emotions and social interactions, from lack of proper friendships and social connection and from never learning how to handle his emotions in the first place- at least not properly anyway...
Loki is dealing with undiagnosed ADHD and has severe social anxiety as well, along with a lot of trauma to add to the pot.
Thor, being the big brother, finds help for his brother as he can't help Loki by himself. Thor recognized he doesn't have the tools or knowledge needed to help Loki. Tony and Clint potentially do, both having similar issues with Loki, but not to his degree or exact symptoms. Thor believes that Tony and Clint can help Loki fit in because they know what it's like to struggle mentally and emotionally.
{And the three help Loki get properly diagnosed by professionals for his ADHD, of course.}
Loki gets a bit better, feeling more like he belongs. That he isn't broken or defective. Loki feels like a true person for the first time in years.
Marvel Prompt!
Prompt: "I just got you back, I'm not letting go.*
MCU/AA/EMH
Three sets of brothers are pulled into a maze like palace, the inhabitants seeking to devour them for their power.
The gods of thunder are fused together, as are the gods of chaos. They must find a way out of there. They end up being separated, both of them learning about the place and its dangers in the process. The Loki's learn that there is a choice system that effects their fate and are given a choice:
'You live and escape. Your sibling dies permanently.'
Or
'Your sibling lives and escapes. You die permanently.'
The Loki's chosen answer is to let Thor live.
All Thor's reject this choice and break the system and the realm, unfusing and dragging their brother back to their own world- barely escaping death.
Thor is pissed at Loki's choice, lecturing him before screaming: 'I just got you back, Loki! I wasn't going to leave without you, not again. I am not letting you leave me again, damnit. Not again...'
Thor then holds his brother tightly.
Happy 2024! New Marvel Prompt!!!
(Tony had been turned into a child once again, but this time not from a time stone. Clint had been so close to being hit by a rouge mage had it not been for Iron Man taking the hit. Now the Avengers had a small five-year old Tony to protect till the spell wore off.)
Loki: Sadly I can't reverse what has been done, unless you want this change to be permanent or his condition made worse?
Steve: *worried* It's fine Loki. Now that we know we have to wait this spell out it is just a matter of what we do with Tony, since he is currently a toddler.
(Tony shyly walks up to Loki. He Holds out his hands in a silent request for upsies.
Loki couldn't refuse the Bambi eyes Tony was making and picked him up.)
Tony: *quietly* You're really pretty.
Loki: ...
(Loki blushes with immense embarrassment.)
Loki: *flustered* I am keeping Anthony till this is over. I am not negotiating this, I shall watch over this bundle of joy. Anyone who tries to take his shall meet a fate worse than death or any torture you have experienced yet.
(Loki disappeared with Tony in his arms, stunning the other Avengers.)
Clint: *whistling* Well... I never would have expected to see Loki embarrassed ever, or see him so protective over a toddler Tony.
Thor: *unfazed* Ay, my brother may not seem like it but he has always a soft spot for children. He also has a softness for Tony as well from what I observed, so our friend as a child has Loki in a protective instinct currently.
(the Avengers decided that Loki would be the best person to watch Tony. They learned a long the way, however, is that you don't make little Tony upset. Clint learned that the hard way when he accidentally startled Tony. Loki had set his pants, quite literally, on fire.)
Marvel Prompt!
(It was supposed to be just a regular day. Everything was perfect and peaceful, the heros could relax, and some could catch up on work that needed to be done. Then a rouge enchantress had to detonate an entire street to burst into flames. The Avengers rushed out quickly, Loki warnes being careful to avoid the flames as it is magical.
The battle was tough, the witch being tactical and an excellent fighter. Eventually though, the enchantress was cornered, there was no where to escape or much magic left to rely on. In a last desperate attempt to gain victory, she throws a spell out hitting three of the Avengers. Steve, Clint, and Loki were flung back and landed a few meters away. Despite that, it seemed like nothing happened, no mind control or hindering effect presenting itself. The witch howled with anger.)
Enchantress: *Furious* HOW?! You should be under my control, be hopelessly in love with me! How did you reject my magic so easily!?
Clint: *snorting* Yeah... No, you may look good but you are not my type.
Loki: *bemused* You also have a horrid attitude and personality. I don't know how anyone could fall for a wretch like you.
Steve: *amused* Sorry ma'am, but I already have someone else I'm looking at.
(It was Steve's words that froze the Enchantress. Genuine love for another person negates the spell she used, instead of being in control of them it is the person who they are in love with who shall have control. They will be loyal only to them, willing to to anything to protect that person.
Enchantress knew she had nothing on her side and had finally lost this battle. With her last bit of magic, however, she fired one last blast of magic at the closest Avenger. It was Tony. He couldn't move in time to avoid it, couldn't even react in time to raise his arms, he could only process the magic coming towards him.
Tony was shielded by magic, a forest green color he had become so familiar with. Loki was standing before him before he could blink. The god was pissed.)
Loki: *Wrathful* YOU DARE ATTACK MY LOVE?! YOU SHALL PAY!
(Loki wasn't the one to lash out though, it was Clint whom pinned the witch to the wall using his arrows. Steve had thrown his shield when the initial blast had been thrown, causing the witch to stumble. Now, Steve had retrieved his shield, walking towards her, pulled out magic restraining cuffs. Clint had rushed to Tony's side after he made sure she wouldn't be moving anytime soon.)
Clint: *Concerned* Tony! She didn't get you anywhere, any pain?
Tony: *Confused* What? No, she didn't get me at all. Lokes here had stepped in fast enough to shield me from harm.
Steve: *Serious* You better be telling the truth Tony, none of us like seeing you hurt. I've called Fury to come pick up the villain, so we'll be starting clean up pretty soon.
(Tony was so terribly confused about what was going on. It was normal for the Avengers to be protective with each other, but never had any of them had the sudden speed or feral behavior that the trio were showing. Then it clicked for Tony. The magic, it made sense now why they hadn't been mind controlled. They already were in love, and Tony knew that the 'ones' who they loved was him alone.
It didn't make sense to him, he denied it and tried to come up with a different answer. The truth couldn't be ignored. Loki, Clint, and Steve were giving him looks of fondness. Looks you'd see couples giving each other.
The nail in the coffin was their eyes. What should be their normal eye colors were replaced with Cupid pink, and almost seemed to sparkle with hearts inside the iris.)
Tony: *Hesitatent* Are you guys okay?
Loki: Of course, as if a cheap parlor magician could hurt me. If anything, I fear she's more dangerous to you due to her cunning wits of fighting.
Clint: *proud* Not a single scratch on me, Tony! The witch may have magic and technique on her side but I'm clearly superior in combat.
Steve: I'm alright, Tony. I am more worried about you than myself right now.
(Tony was flustered. He wasn't used to being cared for, nor was he ready to learn that three Avengers were in love with him. It didn't help that Tony had no idea how to fix this mess. He only knew that he was so screwed.)
(Loki is sitting on the floor of the common room facing the window, deep in concentration. Constantly fidgeting around, scratching at his arm absent mindedly. Tony and Clint walk into the room.)
Tony:Lokes? What are you doing on the floor?
(Loki didn't answer, not even appearing to hear Tony at all. Sharing a look with Clint he tries once more. Still, Loki doesn't answer. Clint walked carefully into Loki's field of vision before getting closer, then he gently taps on the mage when he still doesn't seem to notice him. Loki startles.)
Clint: Sorry! Sorry, didn't mean to make you jump. Just wanted to know if your okay?
Loki: *Confused* I... I am fine, really. But what made you think I wasn't?
Tony: *Walking over* You were staring out the window at nothing with a look. We thought you had something on your mind that was bothering you.
(Loki paused, considered it, then blushed slightly in embarrassment.)
Loki: *voice slightly quieter* I was trying to remember what I forgot, that I was supposed to remember, but I can't remember. My head feels... Full. Yet, it feels full but also feels like it's empty. Different things seem to be too much right now, things are louder without any logical reason, and I just can't seem to start any of my tasks. I can barely focus on getting these words out coherently.
(Clint and Tony turned to one another, a rapid and clear conversation passing within seconds by mere eye contact. Tony faces Loki and asks him a question.)
Tony: Loki, I think I might have a clue what is wrong but I need to ask what might seem to be a random question. Is it ever hard for you to sit completely still? Like, without fidgeting at all?
Loki: *head tilt* People can actually sit like that?
(Tony and Clint recommend Loki to take a few tests in order to confirm their suspicions. It didn't take much to confirm that Loki in fact had ADHD like them.)
(Finding out he had ADHD, Loki found a few answers for things he would do in the past. The emotional dysregulation, anger issues, body dysmorphia, and ect, made a lot of Loki's past more easier to understand why he did things the way he did. It also probably didn't help that his family was already dysfunctional as it was.)
Loki:... Up side is, I now know I have potentially MORE power if I am able to manage my disorder! I maybe unstoppable now! Villains shall face my fury!!!!
Marvel Prompt!
This idea was created by me and my brother, through just random banter that I just remembered we had about two days ago.
So, Stephen created a time loop to hold Dormamu (how ever you spell the name) hostage in order to bargain the freedom of Earth. But my brother and I thought about what Stephen would do in one particular loop, which ended up becoming this:
Stephen spends around thousands of years in a time loop, though it varies on who you ask, and in about nearly three quarters of that time what of Stephen started to do some random bullshit to really annoy the entity. Just become annoying at shit to piss of Dormamu and confuse em. Like dancing over, midair, the griddy like: 'Dormamu I'm here to talk a negotiation.'
I don't know why but this genuinely made me laugh for several minutes thinking about this when I was talking with my brother, brought to actual tears. If anyone makes this a fanfiction please send me the link!
Angst
'Consuming all the air inside my lungs. Ripping all the skin off my bones, I'm prepared to sacrifice my life. I would gladly do it twice.' "Tony is ready to sacrifice himself to save the people he swore to protect and the people he cares for. A certain Hawk isn't going to let him go however."
'I love you, but I can't find my words.' "Both Tony and Clint like each other deeply, however, it is just that they don't know how to say or show it. The miscommunication leads to them confusing or offending the other. Only words written can express what is meant to be said."
Hurt/Comfort
'Only love can hurt like this.' "Tony asks Clint out for date only to be rejected. Clint thought it was a prank, a joke for jest, but learns from Natasha that Tony really does like him. Clint returns with an apology, genuine feels, and a bouquet of roses."
'If you love them, let them go.' "Clint gets hurt in battle after Tony fails to save him from being defenestrate. Tony leaves with a note left behind, it saying he lets Clint go from the relationship and an apology. Clint wakes up and chases Tony down, unwilling to let Tony go due to being deeply in love with him.
Fluff
'A simple mistake can sometimes be a good thing' "Clint ends up being cursed with cat ears and a tail, gaining some animalistic traits as well. He is moody and irritated to everyone, but is clingy and loving to only Tony. Clint really likes Tony."
'Sometimes I just want a hug... Sometimes I want to cuddle.' "Tony has been working for days straight, dealing with wannabe villains, and having to sort out several issues with different divisions in his company. He wants to sleep, but mostly craves a hug at this point. Clint decides to give Tony a full cuddle session, kidnapping him to his bedroom for comfort and sleep."
18+
'You look good when I carry you, but holding you against your desk... That's bliss.' "Clint loves to carry Tony bridal style often, taking the title 'knight in shining armor.' But he also likes to pin Tony up against the wall or his desk, gently caressing his body, and showing how much he loves Tony."

I finished coloring my art! Hopefully it doesn't look too horrible. Anyway, I am over COVID and so is my family!
It is also my birthday today! So finishing this, getting over sickness, and spending time with my family is the most greatest thing to happen!!!!
Enjoy the Ironhawk fanart!
This isn't completely done, I still have to color this! I am just here to say I'm alive and will be back with prompts soon, fanfiction writers!
(。•̀ᴗ-)✧
Welp, my family (including me) caught COVID. Not my mom though(hopefully). So to handle feeling like utter shit, I'ma make a prompt on my favorite characters felling like shit!
Prompt: Ironman and Hawkeye are in a battle with Hydra, being pushed into a corner away from the others. After being knocked out via emps and stun shots, Tony and Clint are kidnapped.
Later they wake up locked in separate cages. They find out there is a third cage. Inside is Loki, looking bad. Ragged breaths and appearing quite ill. Tony and Clint felt fear down their spins. Loki, nor Thor, couldn't get sick from human illness. What Loki was going through must have been Hydra's doing.
Then their cages started to fill with gas. Both men tried to hold their breath, knowing that it was probably the virus that infected Loki. They didn't last long. Each breath they took in was a burning sensation, already becoming harder to breathe at all. Fever, chills, pain in every muscle to a debilitating degree, it hit both Tony and Clint like a train full force.
Tony had it worse, his arc reactor already making it hard to gain air. He was clawing at his throat desperately. Clint was trying to stop coughing, each time failing. He could feel how his throat was already raw and dry.
Loki was curled up in a ball completely focused on himself, but was also trying to move closer to the glass. He was trying to reach Clint and Tony. To at least save them from this messed up fate.
Then a familiar roar echoed the facility, all the way to where the three were hidden. Hope burned within the group that they would potentially make it out of this alive, or at best receive justice.
Soon Natasha breached the room. Quickly scanning around before running to a terminal. She stops the cages gas chambers, quickly typing in something else. The virus gas was vacuumed out of the boxes and replaced with a new relief. Not a cure but more like an epidural. Tony barely escaped blacking out from chocking, sucking in oxygen deeply. Clint is panting, his throat in pain and so dry. And Loki? He was curled up on the floor of his cage, trying to calm down.
It didn't take long for the rest of the avengers to arrive, Thor sprinting towards his brother. The three soon find themselves in quarantine, Nick having sent a medical team to help them. Tony, Clint, and Loki were under monitor in case they had a declining health status.
The avengers waited by their side when they could, assuring them that they weren't going to leave them. They also made it clear that they were definitely in time out and would in fact be babied when they got home.
They didn't mind at all.
Marvel Prompt 🌹🥀
(Loki had done it. He had the power now, the throne, Odin was sleeping. He should feel safe now. Why didn't he feel safe?)
Thor: *Pleading* Loki, please, end this madness!
Loki: *Angry* You don't get it! Everything we have been told our whole lives, anything the had to do with me, was a damn lie! I was meant to die as a child, a runt no one wanted. Odin killed my real father, he took me in, and instead of just telling us. Instead of just explaining things, treating us equally, he did none of those things. This isn't madness, Thor. This. Is. Reparations!
(Loki was so furious by the end of his rant. Thor looking on in sorrow, wanting to do something to comfort his sibling, but unable to do to being chained up. Loki was shaking at this point. But it wasn't from anger. He didn't feel safe, not once did he feel safe since he got the Odin power. He didn't understand.)
(Thor knew something was wrong with Loki. This wasn't any evil plot by him, this was deliberately planned for a different reason. It becomes clear after Loki's outburst. Thor finally understands that his sibling didn't feel safe. Loki had to be feeling so much pain, believing he's an outsider and without any identity. Thor didn't know how to fix this, to reach his brother, and comfort him.)
Thor: *Softly* Loki... Do you not know who you are?
(Loki flinches)
Loki: *Snaps* Of course I do! What kind of question is that!?
(Loki held himself proudly, standing tall and menacingly. Thor knew better.)
Thor: We grew up together, and while we were lied too, I know who you really are Loki.
Loki: *confused and irritated* Oh? Then who am I ment to be, Odinson?
(Loki stalked closer. Emotions were swirling inside him, becoming so unstable at this point. He was beginning to be unable to hide any of them.)
Thor: *Absolutely Genuine* Loki, you are in fact my brother. A prince like I. No matter the lie told to us, that is the real truth. I know I haven't been the perfect brother... But believe my words when I say you are my family. I choose you, Loki, to be my brother. Your blood matters not.
(Loki is frozen in place. He can't say Thor is lying, can't deny that this isn't anything but the truth. He feels so many conflicting emotions that it plays on his face: Confused, angry, sad, happy, relieved, agitated, scared.
Not knowing what to do with the truth dropped on him, Loki backs away from Thor. He's shrinking in on himself. He didn't feel safe before, now he doesn't know if he is safe. Thor calls out for him, begging him again to end this plan. Loki falls to his knees. He doesn't know what to do.)
Thor: *Concerned* Loki!
Loki: I-
(Loki looks up.)
Loki: *Scared* B-brother?
Thor: Loki, I'm here! You're safe with me I promise! Please, Loki!
(Loki, feeling so small and scared at this point- having regressed to a more fragile state-, practically pounces into Thor's arms. Magic-ing away the chains unconsciously. Thor wrapped his arms around his sibling, whispering words of comfort.)
Thor: *Quietly* It's okay brother, I'm here. You're safe now. I promise I won't leave you again.
Loki: *shaking* Thor... I- I'm sorry.
Thor: It is alright, Loki. I already forgiven you. I will always forgive you. I'm just happy you are with me again.
(Thor tightens the hug. As they wait for the avengers to arrive, Thor thanks the norns that his sibling is back by his side. He wasn't ever going to leave his sibling again.)
Fanfiction writer, you may do with this as you please, just send me the link so I may read it!

(Tsum Tsum Avengers have been portaled to the AA universe, and have taken up residency. They haven't been around too long at all, so it's still a surprise to all of them. What's more surprising is how the little ones act around Tony.)
Tony: *hesitant* Okay... I don't know what to do here.
(Tony has gained a Tsum Tsum harem)
Tsum Steve: *Happy* Tsum Tsum! (I love you, Tony!)
Tsum Steve: *Nuzzles Tony's cheek*
Tsum Clint: *Excited* Tsum! Tsum!! (Kiss! Kiss!!)
(Tony was trapped, covered in Tsum Tsums. The other Avengers though... They didn't like it. Jealousy was obvious.)
Tony: *Kisses Tsum Clint*
Clint: *Upset* Why don't I get a kiss!?
Please, any fanfiction writer make this real!!!
💜 Marvel Prompt ❤️
"Why can't you see you matter?"
(Clint walks along the hall, heading to a specific room, though his mind lost.)
Clint: *internally* How bad is it that Tony is hiding from us? What could knock him down that far, to push us away? I just want my friend back, man. I miss my buddy.
(Tony had been distant as of lately. Something had happened when he went to a meeting with some officials to discuss important business and affairs. He came back guarded, cautious, and overall just blocked up emotionally. He didn't say anything about the meeting with the officials, nor did he talk about what was wrong. It bothered everyone. It especially bothered Clint.)
Clint: *Stands in front of Tony's bedroom* Tony? Are you okay, I'm worried man...
(It was silent)
Clint: *Hesitant* ...Tony?
(It was silent)
Clint: *Knocks on the door* Tony, are you even in there?
(It was silent)
(Clint on his last nerve, ready to ask JARVIS where Tony is, tries the door handle. It was unlocked.)
Clint: *Surprised* ...huh. Well that's convenient.
(Walking inside Tony's room it was clear that he was in here, tablets with different projects were strewn about the place, Clint could also here something creaking. Following the noise had Clint find Tony in bed. He looked tired, in more ways than one.)
Clint: *Gently sits down* Tony... are you okay? You've been down since you came back and everyone is a mess about it. I am even worried. I want to make stuff with you again, have are banter and sarcasm back. I...
(Clint wanted Tony back. He wanted him happy again, full of life, creating and pushing technology to new limits. Clint wanted Tony to be okay. He wanted him back beside him again, not away and cold to him.)
Tony: *glances at Clint* ...I'm fine. Just having a rough patch, I'll be up and at again soon enough.
(Clint knew it was a lie.)
Clint: *Firmly* Tony, what is really the matter? Since you came back, something has been on your mind and eating away at you for the last few days. You are clearly not fine.
(Tony didn't say anything for a few moments. He looked as if he was thinking about his next few words or possibly about what he wanted to say about the problem.)
Tony: *Quietly* I... I was reminded of a bad time. During- He... I..
(Tony was struggling on his next words, but Clint was patient. He held Tony's hand unconsciously and gave a gentle squeeze.)
Tony: *little whine* I had been talking with a guy from the military, a sergeant I think? H-he, I was talking about something- maybe the issues they had containing some of the villains? The guy kinda started arguing with me... It ended with words that brought up bad memories, and stuff people used to tell me that I tried to forget about.
(Clint was calm for Tony the entire time. Inside he was burning, rabid with the need to seek justice for Tony. To hurt the man who hurt his precious treasure, his teams leader. Clint wanted to leave a statement to all who dare try again.)
Clint: *Calmly* Is that why you decided to hide away?
Tony: *Nods*
Clint: *sighs* Welp, that won't do Tony. You need space, I get it, but this is beyond healthy at this point. We are going to get some fresh air in the common room. Up we go!
(Clint picks up Tony bridal style, earning him a squeak from Tony.)
Tony: *embarrassed* I can walk, Clint!
Clint: *flirty* Yeah, but this way I can carry a beautiful and smart genius! Can't have you exsert yourself after the rough day you had. Let your loyal archer carry you! *Winks*
(Tony is blushing bright red by the time they reach the common room. Everyone is there and clearly waiting for the both of them. JARVIS must have call them all.)
Thor: *Happy and relieved* Tony! It is nice to see you out and about again.
Steve: *Concerned* It is nice to see you again, but are you alright?
Hulk: *grunts and walks over to pat Tony's head* Metal man no longer hiding away. Good.
Natasha: *smiles softly but remain quiet*
(Clint sits himself down on the couch, Tony being held hostage in his lap. No amount of squirming would get Clint to let go of him. Tony gave up after twenty seconds, accepting his fate and tucking his head into Clint's shoulder.)
Clint: *Content* Tony allowed me to bring his gorgeous butt out of his room, though it's up to Tony if he wants to tell you anything.
Tony: *Flustered* You can tell them Clint. Also I'm not all that...
Clint: Yes you are Tony, your personality and perfect adorable looks are why I fell in love with you.
(Clint froze at that, wishing his brain had a filter or at least common sense to think first before blurting things out. Tony blue screened at the confession. Clint quickly changed the subject to explain what had caused Tony to push away from them, growing angry again at the knowledge again. The team also looked furious. Natasha left the room. That sergeant most likely won't be the one okay soon enough. The others that remained gave Tony the comfort he clearly needed.)
(When Tony and Clint were left alone, the others leaving to grab snacks for movie time, Tony decided to ask the question he was desperate for an answer to.)
Tony: *whispering* Did you mean it?
Clint: *Hesitant and scared* Yeah, yeah I did mean it Tony. Everything about you is why I really like you. You matter to us, Tony. You matter so much to me...
(Without giving himself a chance to back out, Clint grabbed Tony's chin and made him look at him. Clint placed a soft kiss on Tony's lips. Pulling back Clint saw Tony looking at him in surprise, blushing different shades of red. Then Tony pressed a kiss to his cheek.)
Tony: I like you too. I didn't think anyone would like me like that, but I'm glad it's you.
Clint: *snorted* Well it isn't just me who loves you that way.
Tony: *jerks up* Wait what!?
Clint: N-Nothing!
If you make this into a proper fanfiction, please link me your work so that I may read the glorious content!!! 😄
This post is gonna get serious. I wanna talk about Tony's death in the MCU and how I was affect by it and my past.
Trigger warning: I'm gonna be talking about PTSD, death, depression, and overall a lot of heavy stuff. If this stuff bothers you, you should skip this post. I have plenty other posts that are more for humor or fanfiction.
Tony's death.
This rocked me to my core. I cried when he spoke his last words and how he ended his arc the way he did. I cried cause the character who brought me into the MCU had left it after all this time. I had cried for the character who had become so important to me, only to cry all over again when Steve decided to leave too. Both goodbyes that were from important parts of my Marvel experience were gone like that.
It was a perfect, tragic, ending for both characters. The pain and loss, to the end of their arcs showing how much they changed.
The thing is though, seeing Tony's death, and Steve's choice to leave, had me mentally and emotionally shut down the first time I watched those scenes. I had been lost unconsciously to the past, back to the moment that still haunts me today.
I have PTSD. And my trauma came from my grandfather passing away when I was four. It was traumatic, loud, messy, and lots of crying from my mother. The only person I had to call 'dad' was simply gone in mere seconds.
He past away in my mother's arms, and from the way my mom can remember he was also coughing blood. His lung cancer finally caught up to him.
When children are exposed to stimulation it is already so much for them, every experience being many things: an inconvenience being the end of the world, a new little fact being a huge joy, every experience is learning how the world is. But in terms of trauma? It's greater damage to the mind as a kid compared to an adult.
I had watched my grandfather pass away, got stuck in the loud chaos, and had been unable to process what just happened. I only knew that he wasn't coming back, and that answer only left me empty.
After this moment things changed a lot for me. It was made worst when my mother had to hospitalized for three days sometime after this event. This was another thing that had sent me into a deep form of hurt. I cried hard at my mother's disappearance. I thought I was being abandoned, left alone in a world I still can't understand today.
I had lost a parental figure in my life, thought I was being abandoned sometime later, and was unable to process anything. I only knew the facts, I couldn't do anything beyond that. Any emotions I should have been feeling wasn't there. I didn't feel anything. It was like I didn't know how anymore, I only could feel apathetic. Like I was shunning away the moment.
It was the start of my mental decline.
Tony became an important character for me as he was the hero who felt real, one I could find myself in the same sort of spot with regarding pain.
Every time I see a character I've grown so attached to die, I remember the first time it ever happened. Then I dissociate to cope with the trauma, emotions disappearing into numbness, and I can't watch anymore.
The pain of watching real tragic deaths or of fiction that I've come so attached to, it sends me into a twisted mess. It also happens with goodbyes. Seeing someone or something for the last time, never seeing them again, also sends me back. The feelings of loss and abandonment causing me to push things or people away.
When Tony died on screen I had been left numb, I had left the theater wanting nothing more than to curled up in a ball on my bed and sleep. Forgetting about the moment I watched him die.
I wouldn't get to fully process my trauma till this year. I wouldn't get to the moment of processing till now.
Tony's death, Steve leaving, and the pain left behind was too much for me to handle. Now though I can say that it was tragic but also a beautiful end to their respective arcs. I can't watch certain parts of the movies again for reasons, but I'm able to watch the movies again as I'm now moving forward. I can watch knowing that this time I can finally watch the series and accept each goodbye that happens. I can allow myself to process the emotions I feel freely, letting them come and simply be.
I write this post as a form of my own little therapy. A way of sharing my story to those who might need it and those who need to hear this:
You are not alone in your grief. You are not alone in your pain. Pain comes to everyone and it varies on the person how they respond to that pain. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, these are common disabilities that are found in a large percentage of people. I used to think nobody would understand, but overtime I realized that pain is universal.
When I began to heal I learned that it's okay to be vulnerable, to be weak. To allow yourself the chance to express the emotions held inside out. Feeling those emotions freely is what helped me move forward, but it may be different for you.
What Marvel has helped me to do is learn that it's okay to be human. We are a mess, but we learn together how to be better. Not everyone is nice, not everyone is mean. We are simply people. As we heal from trauma we see those around us differently, unable to go back to the mindset in the past. We can also see those who have similar mindsets to are own.
In conclusion: Tony's death hurt me and pushed hard at an old scar. The pain came and I allowed it to be. I learned to move forward, and learned from Marvel that all you can do is move forward. Tony's death had left the universe safe, Steve leaves behind a legacy and passed down his shield to Falcon. And I learn to come to terms of what happened years ago now.
I wanted to share this in hopes of those who need it see it. And I hope maybe that you, the person reading, have taken something from this post. A person who understands or possibly a new perspective on something.
I hope that you remember that you deserve to be loved, that you are not alone in pain or grief, and that you are amazing.
I've been wanting to write this for a little while, but I wanted to do some rewatching and research on the topic again.
This is my view on the topic of who was right, and who was wrong.
My answer? They were both right.
Let me explain:
Tony, after all the damage done that leads to this conflict, wants and does sign the accords. He wants the Avengers to be held accountable for the damages they cause and to have some restrictions so supers can't do anything they want willy nilly. He has the point here. People need rules and structure to avoid anarchy and chaos, to avoid things just ending up a mess.
Steve didn't want to sign the accords because his point was that the avengers couldn't be held down waiting for the green light, not when lives were at stake. His argument is made further when you take in the question of: 'who could actually hold this power?' Hydra invaded SHEILD, the government isn't safe either, and lord knows how corrupt politics are anyway. Hell, after Thanos snapped the government had to go make a consensus. Nobody could hold the avengers when lives were on the line.
Steve and Tony are both right. But they end up also being wrong too.
Tony is blinded by his overwhelming guilt at this point. After all he lost, the new trauma, and dealing with everything, Tony is hyper focused on redemption here. He wants to make up for the things he did, for the people lost in the cross fire. But he ends up not seeing the issues presented to him about signing the accords.
Signing the accords is a problem because, like I talked about with Steve's point, no one can simply have a leash on the heros. If they have to wait then people die, if they are leashed then Hydra would have been pulling the strings. Hydra invaded SHEILD and the government, if they pulled the strings then it's over. Not to mention that the person pushing the accords is General Ross, the man who hunted down Bruce to use him- to make the super soldier serum. General Ross is not an ally, he is a threat.
Steve was also wrong too. Avengers can't have full freedom to do whatever they please. Having powers being used recklessly and causing unnecessary damages to surroundings isn't a good thing. It's a risk to the people he wants to protect.
So Both are right and wrong. Mainly cause this conflict is complex, when you see the risks and factors of why things couldn't work one way or the other. But also remember, this is a conflict created by design too. Zemo had a part to play in this issue. Playing the game just right that would cause the leaders of the avengers to reach a boiling point on the argument that they split.
What I personally feel is that because of the trauma, pain, and exhaustion the two of them were dealing with when the accords were just presented that they were even in a good healthy mindset to even begin dealing with any of it. Both were stressed, dealing with issues on all sides, and couldn't see past the black and white view of absolutes. Steve and Tony were stuck on a chest board as pawns and both were fighting to win. Only we know how this ends up going.
I am Team Captain America AND Team Iron Man.
Cause in the end they are still a team, and I don't pick sides of my team- I choose all of them.
As an added part to this post I wanted to share my thoughts on Steve lying to Tony about his parents. It was wrong and unjustified, yes but I'm not talking about that. That is a simple fact. I want to explain my view on Steve's reasoning for this decision: He wanted to protect both friends of his. He wanted to protect Bucky cause he was brainwashed and innocent, he didn't want him hurt or kill for it. He wanted to protect Tony cause already he was traumatized, beaten, and utterly exhausted from so much happening. He didn't want Tony to have another thing on his mind that could potentially cause him to snap a part.
In the end it didn't matter, Tony finds out and everything falls from there. Steve here, from my pov, is the people who have the purest intentions and want the best for us, but end up making decisions that only harm us in the end unintentionally. When we make choice that we think help, but don't.
In conclusion: Do I think one or the other is wrong? No, both are right and wrong for their own reasons- making the answer a more complicated discussion.
Do I think Steve or Tony deserves the bashing they get from either side of the conflict? No. They are fundamentally human characters who wanted to do the right thing but were blinded by their own issues and too twisted and turned to properly communicate things.
Should either one be hated for these choices they made? No. They made the choice they did but in the end worked to fix what had been ripped apart, doing their best to mend that scar. They were adults about it and made up while finally having a more healthier mental state to deal with everything.
Are both still my favorite characters and ship? Fuck yes.
Hello everyone!
This post is gonna be different from the usual marvel prompts, and questions, I post. This time I want to give my perspective and opinion on my favorite character, Loki. He is a fascinating character, full of complexities and fundamentally 'human' in a way.
I wanted to share my thoughts, feelings, and ideas here to basically have a place to discuss different characters and how they are meaningful to us.
Without further ado...
Loki is a character that gives off so many emotions when you first see him, and varies on when you see him and what media: evil and vengeful in EMH, Cocky yet willing to change in AA, Calculating and then sporadic in the MCU. Comic Loki? A whole lot of character development that I don't even know where to start.
Admittedly I have had the chance to read much of the comics sides a few, and haven't watch all of AA or EMH, but I did research for this. Also I just watched a lot of stuff on YouTube of Loki from all sides.
Now when it comes to his character, you can't exactly put down a few words to describe him. Loki is a character that feels like a person, complex and confusing. Trying to simplify Loki is unintentionally blocking out the other aspects of him.
Loki is a character that has been abused and abandoned from basically the beginning of his life. Left to die by his biological father, taken in by a new family and then raised to hate his kind essentially, then told later that he was going to be a bargaining chip, fighting his brother as a form of lashing out, being done enough with all of it to try and end his life, to being found and potentially tortured by Thanos.
That alone comes from the MCU, but a majority of that still happens in the other timelines. It's explained through hints and out right underlined that Loki was neglected emotionally and physically by his father, put into Thor's shadow, and put down for being different in the ways of Asgard- using magic rather than tactical fighting.
Loki grows envious and resentful because of this. It makes things worse when it becomes clear that Loki was also put through a lot of pain. Like having his mouth sewn shut and a mythical snake dripping venom on to you. What Thanos probably did...
To me, Loki is a traumatized person. From day one he was abandoned and left to die, only to be taken in and strip of any agency on who he would be. Everyone, including Thor, either pushed the villainous label onto Loki or harassed him for not being a true warrior.
Loki has been shoved in the back, pushed away, and told he isn't as great or ever will be as Thor. Leaving him probably lonely, hurt, angry, and envious: 'What does Thor have, that I don't?'
Loki's complexities come in when you further understand that he does want to be the hero, he wants to do good- he just doesn't understand how. He is constantly tempted by mischief that it poses an obstacle to Loki making the decision to pick an outcome. This is added on to the fact that eventually he gives up and choice at all, taking up the villain roll as the only choice he perceived he had left.
When you're constantly told something, eventually you'll think it's true. Loki gives up and lets the pain swallow him into a world of consistent anger and envy.
So what do I feel about Loki? He is a person repeatedly hurt by others, left behind, and is indifferent to or active to end his life.
But he does get a chance to change. Slowly as he starts to heal he becomes more open, playful, caring. He even finds himself having a better relationship with Thor, having his family back. He even befriends and joins the avengers. In one comic he surprised Clint be being his valentine.
I love Loki, as a character and his story. No matter what media you choose, Loki's story has the power to move you. He is the most human character I've seen that rivals Tony.
Loki helps me too, by being a character who I can relate to with painful memories of my own. Feelings of abandonment and envy of others, not understanding why I was treated differently compared to others.
I don't feel comfortable sharing much of my past here, but just Know that my experiences aren't that intense as Loki's.
To conclude this post: Loki is fascinating in the fact that he contains the element of being a human character (despite being alien), being shown in the story his anger, pain, despair, the fear he can feel, his loneliness. We can feel the change within Loki overtime as well: feeling how happy he is, how much safer he feels, and how much vulnerability he is able to allow himself now.
Loki is my all time favorite mischief maker, god of chaos, and just my favorite character I love to watch create a hilarious mess.
😎Marvel Prompt Time!!! 😎
Loki is a character that is complex in the fact that he is conflicted internally, as he wants to do the right thing but doesn't knows how and that it wouldn't matter in the end.
From his home life being disfuctional, neglected and essentially being raised with the intent to be a bargaining chip, to being treated as the villain consistently despite countless effort to show he can be a hero, Loki is just handed out the worst cards over and over. It makes sense he acts the way he does.
If the myths have any truth, Loki also suffered abuse in many forms besides the emotional neglect he endured. Possibly his mouth being sewn shut the biggest one.
It makes sense then that he would be in a constant state of hypervigilance and pushing back against anyone: especially Thor.
But the chronic stress and torture on his mind from the constant cycle takes a toll.
So my prompt to the fanfic writers:
Loki has reach his breaking point. The const stress, hypervigilance, the paranoia that anyone and everyone is against him, and the negative world views, causes his internal narrative to collapse. He can't hide his feelings anymore, screaming into an empty meadow on an empty planet, everything- every feeling inside starting to drown him.
Loki can't even physically stand, pushed to his knees and dropping his head to the ground with his arms around himself. This is Loki at his lowest. His magic is uncontrollable at this point as well, lashing out and exploding at random some parts of the ground, creating pillars of ice and thunder, ripping apart the planet inch by inch.
Then Thor appears to Loki, real and true. He could feel Loki's soul tearing itself up and about to implode. He tries to reach out to Loki desperately, to save his sibling from himself. Loki pushes Thor away.
Thor isn't deterred.
Shielding himself using his hammer, Thor makes his way to Loki through the chaos. When he finally reaches his brother, he falls beside him and takes Loki into his arms. Holding Loki tight Thor says the thing that cuts through to Loki's conscious: I love you, Loki.
With no barriers to stop the emotions from rising, no strength inside his heart to continue pushing Thor away, Loki sobs as he allows himself to be held. The chaotic hurricane around the brothers becoming lesser and lesser. Thor repeats the words and quietly murmurs words of reassurance.
Thor tells Loki he is forgiven and that he is sorry for his part in Loki's suffering.
They stay there, the chaos finally gone and the peace returning, allowing themselves at last the space to letting themselves to feel grief. To feel anything at all.
When the time comes, Thor offers Loki his hand to go home. Not to Asgard, but home. Home with Thor. Loki makes a choice; taking Thor's hand and following him back.
