Sweet boys. Loves of my life!!!
This Petey design belongs to my best friend!!
So Billie Eilish, a recording artist who makes millions with her creative work, has teamed up with Adobe, a multi-billion company, to bring us a contest where artists make merch designs for her for free, and only the winner gets paid. Sorry, aΒ βprizeβ. And part of the βprizeβ is exposure.
Oh, and if you submit an entry, whether you win or not, you give them the right to use your work.
Contests like this are a scam. Theyβre exploitative. Always. Theyβre a way to get people to do work for free, and only pay the βwinnerβ.
Billie Eilish makes music. She is a creative professional herself who makes money, a lot of money, with her art. She can afford to pay an artist to design her tour shirt. Adobe can afford to pay artists to do design work.
If she wants to give fans the opportunity to work for her - just invite portfolio submissions. Let artists send you work theyβve already done, pick one whose style you like, and hire them to make a design for you. Easy.
This, though? This is trying to use her fame to get people to work for her for free. This is trying to exploit her fans. Note how the key selling point they picked for the tweet isnβt the cash prize, itβs the exposure. This entire thing is based on the hope that people will be so excited to have their work officially featured by Billie Eilish that theyβll work for free just for the chance.
Donβt enterΒ βart contestsβ like this. Itβs not a contest, itβs a scam.

I think toy doctors are so nice actually like i remember being a little heartbroken kid when one of my beloved stuffed animals got old and torn up and my mom just threw him out. And i know what it would have meant to me, to have someone lovingly stitch him back up instead so i could love him just a little longer. And Iβm really glad there are little kids out there who get to see pictures of their stuffed animals and dolls with little fake hospital beds and casts as they βrest & healβ before returning to them good as new. Like what a sweet thing to do with your life.
GUYS! This animated series is something explosive.Β I really enjoied this. The plot, the characters, all.Β

my hobbies include staying up for hours at night stuck in a cycle of romanticizing the future and building up a deep infatuation for it and then proceeding to fear it.
avril lavigne was right. what the hell
I donβt want a memorial service when I die β I want an immemorial service. Just a series of people getting up and telling increasingly outlandish fictionalised stories of my life that are just plausible enough that everyone leaves the event wondering who the hell I am.

The year sighs Decemberβs mourning, Its dismal skies of gloomy grey Pursue not to be adorning The landscape that has fallen prey To the iron will of decay; Thus, autumn cries Earthβs deathly wail Into the winterβs breathless tale.

βIt happened that a fire broke out backstage in a theater. The clown came out to inform the public. They thought it was a jest and applauded. He repeated his warning. They laughed even louder. So I think the world will come to an end amid the general applause from all the wits who believe that it is a joke.β
