So.
I know we’re all terrified and devastated; I’ve seen this both on and off Tumblr. Please believe me when I say I understand completely, that so many of my friends and I have been feeling that same terror and devastation all day. Many of us on this website, myself included, are university students: we have all worked so hard to be admitted, and we have worked so hard for our qualifications and/or degrees. I can’t speak for everyone, but I know I have made so many leaps and bounds towards being fully out as a trans person while I’ve been here at university. We all had so many dreams and hopes for our futures, visions of the lives we wanted to lead, and the feeling of watching them disintegrate in the blink of an eye is indescribable. I understand, I really do.
But even in the midst of all this, I know we are lucky — privileged, even — to be American: nobody is frantically writing think-pieces on why our pain is acceptable or why it should simply be considered collateral damage; nobody is forcing us to humanize ourselves in a language we are unfamiliar with and declaring us robots or scammers if we fail to live up to their standards; the world gives us sympathy by default.
My friend Basma (@basmaalghoul) does not have this privilege. Like me, she worked hard in university and majored in business administration; she even earned international certificates! Before the accelerated genocide, she had begun working as a makeup artist and hoped to open a large salon for women. But her dreams, too, have been stolen — along with those of her children: Toleen (8), Malak (7) and Kamal (4).
On top of the pain of having her dreams destroyed, Basma and her family have had to survive more than a year of bombing, starvation, disease and famine; she’s recently told me that there are no vegetables or cheese available on the market, and her children are all suffering from malnutrition as every child in Ghazzah is. To make matters worse, she’s also told me that Israel has banned supplies necessary for children, which has artificially driven the prices of these items to absurd heights: she’s told me that the price of Pampers is now $100.
This fundraiser is now her family's only lifeline. Winter is rapidly approaching; please help her keep her children warm.
$4,693 USD / $5,065 USD [short-term goal] | (kr50,967 SEK / kr55,000 SEK [short-term goal])
Let’s get her to $4,696 USD (kr51,000 SEK) by the end of today!

Howdy folks, the Senate will be considering the first ever resolution blocking arms to Israel. This is huge and historic; it would block government contracting and about $20 billion in arms and support. This is an uphill battle, PLEASE urge your senators to support S.J.Res114-115. This is maybe the most important piece of legislation relating to Palestine that we have ever gotten and we must seize this opportunity.
This doc has information on the resolutions and their process, as well as sample messages and a phone script you can use. Please, use this moment to hear witness for your neighbors.
I'm the second option. I don't mind sharing details about myself. In fact, I can tell you a few things! I'm 29 years old. My birthday is on January 27th, and I live in Toronto, the unceded territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. I also like mint chocolate, I'm obsessed with fruits like apples and mangoes, and I like to watch indie films about the human condition.
Now you have a general idea about who I am and what I like. Will I tell you more? No, because it is my right to keep information about me private. But this is not the case for the people from Ghazzah. They have to reveal every bit of their life to show foreigners, especially from the West, that they are from Palestine and they are surviving an accelerated genocide. It doesn't matter if they are verified. So you see paragraphs about their experiences, photos, videos, and testimonies from their friends who are supporting them.
But, for some reason, this is not enough.
My good friend, Mohammed Iwais (@mohdiwais) is the perfect example of this. He has shown everyone everything. And I mean everything. Go to his blog. Look at it. There are photos, posts, and videos about his current situation.
One post that gets me the most is about his sister's injury. She has been shot in the thigh by a fucking QUADCOPTER. Mohammed has no choice but to document the whole thing. He has to show X-rays, the bullet, and the blood on the bandages. All so people can empathize with him and lend their support.
Yet, it doesn't seem to get any better for him.
Donations have been awfully slow. He would receive one after many hours, and it would be mere pennies since people don't pay attention to the currency exchange! There are so many 5 and 10 SEK donations if you look into his fundraiser! Mohammed and his 27 family members do not deserve this!
So please donate and share. Mohammed is the sole breadwinner in his family. Many of them are his young nieces and nephews. They are children who are starving and sleeping on the streets!
And don't forget about the currency exchange! It is set in Swedish Krona. $10 USD = 103 SEK. There is also PayPal available, so you can literally give $1!

I am tied between Loid Forger from Spy x Family and Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. They are both great fathers who adore their children and they would do anything to keep them happy, healthy, and safe!
They also remind me of an outstanding father who is all the way in Ghazzah. His name is Mohammed Al-Habil, @alhabil, (#166) and he is father to 3 young children named Ahmed (8), Osama (6), and Mira (4). In fact, if you read through Mohammed's blog, his posts would always be about his kids. How they are making the best of their time during an accelerated genocide. He would also document on when they are ill, when they are starving, and they are now freezing the winter cold.
Unfortunately, all 3 of them have in contact with scabies. Scabies are parasitic mites that would burrow in the skin and leave behind harsh itches and rashes. They have caught it during the summer and they still have to this day! Good thing there is a cure for them! It would be giving them medication, but due to the limited availability and rising cost, Mohammed needs the funds to purchase them!
He also need mediciation for his elderly parents. They are diabetic and have high blood pressure! So with multiple vunerable people in the family, let's help Mohammed raise 39K in the next 3 days! €37,215 has been raised. There is €1,785 left to go!
Please share with friends & family and donate to save a family!
Hanan's @hanangaza7 young daughter is in a field hospital in Gaza. She urgently needs tests, a CT scan, and treatment, the cost of which is $200.
Please, help Hanan and his daughter. She deserves to live. I beg you, share and donate!!! Help her get the medical care she needs!!!

Hey guys! This fundraiser is still in need of help. It's number 71 on our fundraiser list, and one of the first few I vetted by direct contact with the fundraiser organizer.
Some quotes:
Now that I've got your attention (people stop scrolling for a poll), I am making this post on behalf of Nader @abdalsalam1990, as I have a large following which could help it get traction. This campaign has been vetted! (#4 on the list)
Nader is 17 years old and his family is in Gaza facing dire circumstances. Food is scarce, prices are high, and there are shortages in water. They, like countless others suffering during this war, have already had to relocate many times, and their home is destroyed. They do not have enough money to safely relocate right now, or a stable source of income, as places of work have been destroyed.
Any amount of money can help Nader and his family escape this destruction.
This campaign currently has (as of the time I write this post) €11,540 out of €50,000 raised, with 627 donations. I have donated myself and I know a lot of my followers can afford to donate at least something. It's not a hard donation process, so I hope you take a moment of your day to show some support.
@schoolhater @frottinq @determinate-negation @death2germany
What can I do to make you care about our Black brothers and sisters? There are many times where they have asked for our help, but we only pay attention when it is too late. Look at what has transpired over the past couple of months.
There is LaKeith Smith who has been wrongfully sentenced for killing a police officer. The coldblooded murder of Sonya Massey. The cruel ruling of Brenda Taylor's boyfriend. The unjust execution of Marcellus "Khaliifah" Williams. The Haitian community has been targeted by Donald as well as the US-backed paramilitary terrorizes Haiti.
Then we go to the other side of the planet. The migrant workers are locked in wealthy Lebanese houses. There are genocides in Australia, DR Congo, Sudan, Tigray, and West Papua. Black lives are everyday, every hour, every second. We turn a blind eye every time!
Enough is enough! Please stop looking away and show your support. One way to help is donating and sharing this fundraiser. It belongs to Eman Abdelrahman (#213 in the Spreadsheet). @emiiii980 has been fundraising since January this year to rebuild her home after the RSF has bombed it and killed her younger brother. Then she has no choice but to evacuate when the RSF closes in her location. Unfortunately, the funds haven't been raised in time. The Sudanese pound has been inflated. It is too expensive to evacuate. So she and her family have decided to stay back and rebuild their home in Khartoum. So she increases the goal to 50K to purchase building materials ASAP!
You can match me! I've given 5 CHF and $5 SGD! There is also a book raffle hosted by @/magnus-rhymes-with-swagness if you show your proof of donation!
Please keep in mind with the currency exchange. It is in Swiss Franc! $10 USD = 8 CHF. There is also a fundraiser for her extended family. Please show your support to them, as well. Again, keep in mind with the currency exchange! It is in Singaporean Dollars. $10 USD = $13 SGD.

(poll is intended to spotlight @ahmedpalestine Ahmed's gofundme, more information below)
I made this poll to spotlight Ahmed's gofundme. Here is his story:
My name is Ahmed Khader, a 29-year-old from Gaza, now living in Belgium. I left in 2019 to build a better life and support my family, but they remain trapped in Gaza, facing constant bombings and danger. On October 7th, the war forced them to flee to a refugee camp, but safety is still out of reach.
Ahmed's Gofundme is sitting at 💷4k out of a 55k goal. His GFM is very low and needs both attention and support. Please, reblog and/or donate. Everything helps. May our love and support for Palestinians outmatch our disgust at the Zionist entity.
the obvious.
In these difficult times, Ahmed's family faces death time and again. They have been displaced from northern Gaza to Rafah, from Rafah to Khan Younis, and from Khan Younis to Al-Maghazi camp. Now, they are being forced to flee once more under the threat of eviction. Each displacement puts them in new danger, and each time they leave behind what they cannot carry, heading to unsafe places near the occupying forces' tanks, simply because other areas are overcrowded with displaced people and they have no choice but to stay close to danger.
Ahmed lives in constant worry and fear for his family. He cannot always stay in touch with them under these conditions and is haunted by the nightmare of potential massacres as they move to yet another location. It is time for all of us to stand by Ahmed's family and support them in escaping this hell.
The borders are currently closed, but there is hope. We must raise the necessary funds for their travel before the crossing opens, as the opportunity will not last long. Every minute of delay could be fatal.
I urge you from the depths of my heart to be part of this humanitarian effort. If you cannot donate, please help us by sharing this post with your friends and on your pages. Let us unite to save Ahmed's family before it's too late.
Please, do not ignore this plea. It is a matter of life and death.
Shahed (@drshahd) and her family just survived a violent shooting in their neighbourhood, hearing gunshots for hours on end. They now have to evacuate to another area if they don't want to be killed. They are a family of 7, all supported by Shahed who is at the same time preparing her finals.
(Art by @/yellowwclouds on twitter)
She needs to reach 17k by next week. Please consider donating any amount you can give to help them survive :

@paternalduckfigure
idk man. Ive seen the insides of a lot of children's skulls (Sudanese children, Palestinian children, Congolese children) and I simply cannot make myself be excited voting for or endorsing people who opened their heads. Like, call me crazy, but after your twentieth time of seeing the bone and brains of a child, of seeing headless children, of seeing people disabled and destroyed beyond all recognition, there's a part of your brain that decides this is not a fit world to live in and it's your duty as a human to make sure it doesn't happen. Idk. Maybe I'm built different (read: with empathy and decency and, you know, a soul)
Hello, I'm Ola, a graduate student from the faculty of science - Al-Azhar University in Gaza Palestine. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. As you reading my message, myself and my family, “my mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,” are fighting death in northern Gaza and trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to destruction, fear, and instability, starvation, thirst, and poverty.
For nine months until now, we have been struggling to get proper food after prices increased by 15 to 20 times, struggling to have clean water for use and drinking. We lacked security and stability as we were forced to evacuate our house and left everything behind. Then we had to move at least three times since every new area we seek refuge to gets bombed.
I sincerely hope you can empathize with our dire situation and consider supporting us. You can follow me to make sure I am not a scammer and to inquire about any details. Your generosity has the power to make a significant difference.
Please reblog my post, follow me and boost my posts, and repost the link to our campaign across all your social media.
Thank you for standing by me ❤️.
Please donate and/or reblog 🥺🙏🇵🇸

(his younger brother ^)
Hazem Khalil (@hazem1999sblog) is @bilal-salah0's friend. Bilal is verified by Nairuz and Hussein. He's legit. His old blog, @hazem1999, was shadowbanned and he had to remake just a few days ago. Now he's getting error messages when he tries to send DMs. This is really, really bad.
His entire family has been stuck in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza for months. Now the cost of living has skyrocketed and the means for survival are scarce. His family cannot even access drinking water or food. Tumblr is taking away his only source of income during the genocide.
They need €50,000 as soon as possible, but its been 10 days and they haven't even broken €1k.
Please reblog this, follow his blog, read his previous posts and donate. We can't let Tumblr silence him.
edit august 1:
but thanks to you we crossed €1000. how quickly can we get his family to €2000??
his new blog is @hazempalestine, please follow, donate, and share
edit august 15:
Thank you to everyone who showed concern for him.
Thankfully no bullshit happened to @hazempalestine’s new blog and you can still find him there. Since making this post two weeks ago we have managed to raise around €6000 for Hazem which is a great start but he has an urgent goal of €10k by the start of next week, which means he has to raise around €1000 a day!
Please keep sharing and donating!!

Hey guys, this is the Al-Madhoon family asking for your help. Having been displaced numerous times from their beautiful home and town in Ghazzah, they cannot afford to feed their son currently. They have a son with cerebral palsy, who needs specificities in his diet and they cannot afford the kind of food he can actually swallow. They need help to feed their son and then evacuate Ghazzah once the border opens. Along with their son Karim they have 3 other beautiful children, Lamees, Maryam, and Nour.
