all to various degrees
kate pampers herself once a month
nana once a week
laurance is the guy who tells his friends to reapply sunscreen and cry when garroth tells him he only washes his face with water and soap

Day 4: Spirits?

[ID: two owl house drawings based on memes. The first one shows Lilith in her season 2B design sketched over the big bang theory "love is in the air? Wrong! Gad leak" meme. She's staring at the viewer with one eyebrow raised and her glasses are opaque.
The second meme is a redraw of a king of the hill scene, split into two panels. The first panel shows Belos holding up a sack of coins with magic, saying "here's 300 snails to break up with hunter". The second panel shows willow in her s2B design pointing at him and saying "save that money for our wedding". End ID]
I did two things today, and that was really beef it while making a sandwich, and draw shitty owl house memes, and baby I'm all out of sandwiches to post (@toh-described)
“Are you out of your mind?” Zuko rushed across the courtyard and bore down on Aang with an intense, almost palpable fury. “Do you know how badly you could’ve hurt her?”
“I was just…I didn’t mean to-“ Aang stammered.
“Fire is not a toy!” Zuko bellowed at him. He turned to Katara, examining her for injuries. “Are you okay?”
“I’m alright,” she assured him, her voice shaking. “I’m fine.” She was trembling visibly, and there were singe marks on her clothes, but she otherwise seemed unharmed. Zuko turned back to Aang, how was looking down at his feet in shame.
“What were you thinking?” Zuko demanded.
“I don’t know,” Aang mumbled, kicking at the ground. “I was…mad.”
“About what?” Zuko was absolutely bewildered. “What could Katara possibly have done that you thought it was a good idea to do that?”
“Nothing,” Aang admitted sullenly. He didn’t say anything after that. Zuko glowered at him, took a few deep breaths to quell his own anger.
“You’re going to clean this mess up,” he said gesturing to the torn up stones, dirt and cooling lava. “Then you’re going to do 100 fire squats. Then you’re going to work on your forms for an hour. And I don’t want to see so much as a curl of smoke out of you. You’re not responsible enough for fire. Understood?”
“What? That’s not-“ Aang’s protests died on his lips when he saw Zuko’s expression. He huffed, kicked at stone, and finally nodded.
“Get started,” Zuko ordered through clenched teeth. He turned back to Katara, who was watching the exchange. She was still shaking a bit. Zuko draped his arm protectively around her back and guided her away. He glanced back once more at Aang, and almost rolled his eyes when he saw the younger boy still moping at the ground. It was hard sometimes to reconcile the awesome might and eminence of the Avatar with the reality of Aang, the child.
“I’ll be back,” he warned Aang. “Have this mess cleaned up. And don’t even think about asking Toph to help.”
I know canonically, the Lava Fissure Incident takes place while Zuko and Sokka are rescuing Hakoda, but I wanted to have Zuko see and react to it. Personally, I think it was another accidentally accurate depiction of how unready Aang is to be the Avatar. And it is also another incident that the narrative decides not to call Aang out for, so the chances of him growing from it are...well, we all know how things turned out in LoK.

Brainwashed Jetko au where both Jet and Zuko get taken by the Dai Li and are displaced in the big city.
Jet and Li find each other anyways.
(That luck however did not extend to their family and friends)
Its all good...then it catches up to them :D
What am I saying of course you do.
This ended up being way longer than I intended so I’ll put them under a cut, but let me know if you want more. I think about these two a lot.

you ever think about how long hair is technically zuko’s default
“It’s okay to talk to people.” for Silence? 😏
"You're not going to believe this. Apparently every old Master we've met on our journey is part of some sort of secret Pai Sho club. Isn't that crazy?" Sokka continued to babble with excitement as he led Zuko down the corridor by his hand. Zuko tried to focus on Sokka's words instead of the feel of his callused yet gentle grip.
"You'll never guess who one of them is. Go on, guess. You'll never guess. It's Master Piandao! Do you remember me telling you about him? He taught me to use swords and helped me make Space Sword."
Zuko came to a sudden halt. Since Sokka was still holding his hand, Sokka did as well. Sokka turned to look at him and raised a brow. "What's wrong?"
Zuko slid his hand out of Sokka's. He raised his hands and relayed through sign that he knew Master Piandao.
Sokka's eyes widened. "You do? Why didn't you tell me that when I mentioned learning from him?"
Zuko shrugged. He didn't have a good reason, and he certainly didn't have a reason simple enough to be conveyed with sign. He gave Sokka a chagrined look.
"Okay, well do you two get along?"
"I think so," an amused voice said. Master Piandao entered the corridor sporting a wide grin. "Prince Zuko, it is good to see you again."
Zuko almost jumped out of his skin, but he was quick to recover and respond with a bow. After he straightened, Master Piandao returned the bow. He had an amused twinkle in his eye. "From what I've heard, you've been putting the skills I taught you to good use."
Zuko blushed and averted his eyes.
Master Piandao chuckled. "There is no need to be shy. The theatre mask was an interesting addition. You must tell me about these adventures of yours."
Zuko glanced at Sokka. Sokka was smiling, like he didn't see anything mortifying about their situation. That made sense. Sokka had no reason to fear the judgement of his old Master. He had nothing to be ashamed of.
"Come now, Zuko. There's no need to be so formal. It's okay to talk to people." Master Piandao continued to grin.
Sokka's smile dulled a bit. Zuko raised his hands, and Sokka was kind enough to translate the signs. "I can't."
Master Piandao's smile slipped away, leaving behind a frown. "What do you mean?"
Sokka continued to translate as Zuko signed. Zuko looked everywhere but at Master Piandao. "I can't talk to people anymore. I can't talk at all."
Master Piandao seemed to be at a loss as to how to respond.

MORE OF MISS BAILEY NOCEDA !!!!
Ohmygods Jee in the cooler talking about how it’s nothing compared to the North Pole 😭
And then hearing Zuko get put in the one next to his and immediately thinking ‘must get him out of here’
I love this so much 💜💜💜
oh gosh, really glad you liked the drabble!
And yeah -- all of Zuko’s crew would probably go into “protect child mode”, mostly because they can all remember when zuko was ACTUALLY a child. hell, to lt jee zuko is STILL a child and still needs to be protected n
