I’m sure this has been done before but
Sorcerer’s Stone
“I’m new in town, and it gets worse.”
Chamber of Secrets
“We found a pool of the killers blood in the hallway. Ooh gross! Mop it up! Now back to my hunch.”
Prisoner of Azkaban
“We’re gonna frame you for murder! And you’re gonna go to jail for 30 years!”
Goblet of Fire
“I also don’t want to be doing what I’m doing.”
Order of the Phoenix
“I’m so horny and angry all the time.”
Half-Blood Prince
“Whoa! You just killed an old old man!”
Deathly Hallows Pt1
“Do all my friends hate me? Or do I just need to go to sleep?”
Deathly Hallows Pt2
“And that’s the end of that story, but how f*cked up is that, right?”
NEWSIES S6 Style
Katherine Plummer: Jane Hayward
Jack Kelly: Mason McCarthy
Davey Jacobs: Skylar Warbler
Les Jacobs: Myron Muskovitz
Crutchie: Spencer Porter
Spot Conlon: Clint (Vocal Adrenaline, I know it’s not the right club I don’t care it would work really well)
Joseph Pulitzer: Rodrick Meeks
And I’m struggling with Medda Larkin but no on could pull her off but Jane, and Jane deserves to be Katherine so maybe they bring back Mercedes or Santana like they did for Grease.
All the other ensemble roles are filled by Warblers and other left over members of ND (Alistair). Kitty and Madison are both dancers in the theater scene and Kitty is Pulitzers secretatry, and Madison is the walker on the street that Jack (Mason) approaches and gets shot down by.
SO as I am currently on a newsies kick, I have had a realization. The reason I would never suggest for OG ND to do newsies is because of the very few girl parts, it would not go well. BUT season six ND have 3 girls and like 15 guys

“After all, what were the odds that his stalker would be attending such an exclusive event?”
SIR
So I’m reading some of the “fandom classics” at the moment and let me just say that Not Like the Movies by Knightlycat has made me have to stop, flap my arms, and repeat the word “babes” over 6 times now because I love this and I love how Klaine is portrayed so so much. But also if the stalker is who I think it is then I called it during the scene he was introduced and almost posted about it as receipts.
Come take my very scientific poll to determine what season Kurt and Blaine were the ‘hottest’!
An analysis on Finn Hudson and “what the hell house is he in” -prompted by @grouchycritic7794’s comment on my Kurt post
First off there isn’t a chance in all of the nine circles of hell that this boy is a Ravenclaw. Not because he’s dumb, but because he doesn’t see any value in wisdom. And I’ll be the first to admit that S4 Finn was (mostly) wise. But our boy has no wit or care for knowledge. So Ravenclaw is the easy out.
Slytherin is another easy out in my opinion. His entire S3 struggle was about how he wasn’t as ambitious as Rachel and early S4, had it been given the proper dedication, would have been him accepting that that’s okay. That he doesn’t need to have insanely huge dreams to be of worth. Some might claim, “But Lo! By your definition he admires ambition so he should go in Slytherin!” (Yeah let’s be real most people aren’t saying that, but) This is true, I do say that they need to have the traits of the house in high regard. However, they need to hold it in the same regard that they would try to act on it in their own life. The perfect example being Neville, who admires the bravery of others and uses their example to build himself. So, in the case of Finn, Slytherin is out.
Now onto the harder decisions. Yes Finn is very brave and chivalrous. Most of his character arcs revolve around him choosing the untraveled road, the path that takes more bravery. And he was fairly chivalrous with various people in his life. Not the best but not nearly the worst of Glee. However I see his bravery as a subset of his larger character growth, I would even go as far to say he was only brave in defense of the people he was loyal to...
Hufflepuff. So I know there are going to be objections. Objections about how he is lazy and unkind and doesnt fit the soft puff mold. I will never agree with many of the words and decisions Finn has said and made, however Glee was always trying to show that he was learning. Glee was just somewhat bad at their jobs. He was a kid who had been with the wrong crowd for years, he was the standard American way to look into this group of weirdos and learn how to empathize and accept them. Sometimes they did it right and he came off as a good man and a hero. Sometimes they did it wrong and he came off as trite and even worse than before. But at his core he was a child learning who he should be loyal to. He was loyal to the jocks until he realized that they didn’t deserve that loyalty and then he mostly committed to glee club (rewiring everything you’ve ever been loyal to is a hard process). When Quinn is having his baby he is trying his best to be hardworking so he can support the family he thinks he’s going to have. And after the anger at Puck they still make up, it takes time because as a Hufflepuff who’s loyalty has been tested he’s going to have troubles trusting them. As a teacher at McKinley he shows the best of his Hufflepuff qualities with his dedication to those kids, and though he had stumbles along the way I truly believe he is a Hufflepuff.

Throwing my two cents into the Kurt Hummel hogwarts house debate...
I’ve always treated the house one is sorted into as the house whos characteristics the child values the most. Hence Harry asking for Gryffindor (thus proving he valued bravery more) and Draco (who isn’t particularly cunning or ambitious) who values Slytherin as that is what he has always been told is supreme. And the most obvious example being Hermione with her literal quote in book one about how knowledge is not as valuable as bravery in her eyes.
Slytherin, my own house, is what for a long time I believed Kurt was. But then I started writing this post. Kurt is very ambitions and cunning, however his value on those traits? Very little. In fact I would go as far to say his values would place him in Hufflepuff before Slytherin. Kurt sees how Rachel and Santana (both absolutely Slytherin no arguments) treat others around them and doesn’t always agree or like it. When Blaine tells the warblers that Kurt will be the duet partner without audition Kurt immediately asks about others having a chance. No Slytherin would do that. Kurt may love Rachel but when he is fighting her it’s usually over her ambition going too far. In Audition he and Mercedes are horrified by how Rachel scares off sunshine. He doesn’t value the deviousness of her plan even to object to the content of it. Kurt hated how Sebastian acted and treated others around him (very unslytherin of him because us Slytherins can appreciate our enemies plans even when we hate them so much) and even refuses to take action with Santana.
Kurt is so so brave. He faces that school and everyone who has hurt him every day with determination. And he doesn’t just value bravery in others, he expects it. During prom Queen he expects Dave to use the opportunity to come out because that’s what he would have done. He never really understands that his level of bravery is not common. Until Blaine showed up he had trouble finding someone who would be “just as brave as you are” (Burt Hummel Duets). He stands up to authority (Britney/Brittany, Bad Reputation, and others) and is somewhat disappointed when others around him don’t do the same. Not to mention the chivalry demonstrated by letting Sebatian off the hook. If you look at most of the series he seems like a cut and dry Gryffindor.
However I acknowledge that no one is a cut and dry anything. Kurt is ambitious, but he refuses to even put his ambitions above his family (Wheels). I think Kurt would be a particularly tough placement for the hat. I could go even as far as to say a hatstall. You can legitimately make an argument for any of the houses. But I do think that “Better be... GRYFFINDOR!”
Why didn’t anyone ever tell me that if you ask a teacher for help you might just walk away knowing the subject matter???
You are literally a genius of the highest proportions
So I have to ask who fills what roles in the DEH, Kurt Carson and Blaine story you came up with because it sounds amazing
Blaine is Evan, Kurt is Zoe, Carson is Connor, Rachel is Alana, and Santana is Jared. Those were my ideas on that, what do you think??
this is the post they are referencing
25 Days of Glee - Day 6: Favourite Solo - Not The Boy Next Door
A foray back into art, I know the bow tie makes no sense, I have no clue how a bow tie works.
OKAY SO, I am no expert on Broadway Auditions and will be ignoring the absurdity of a completely open audition for a well off revival of a critically acclaimed show like Funny Girl. But I cannot ignore the buffonary of Don’t Stop Believing as an audition song. The fact that she gets the part instead of being laughed right off the stage is ridiculous honestly what even was this show??
Klaine!AU Kurt has a big crush on badboy Blaine
more klaine AUs here! :)
You are absolutely corrrect, season 3 warblers do Newsies, season 6 do Book of Mormon
Forgetting the restraints of reality and the time continuum, I will forever be upset that we didn’t get the Dalton boys doing a number from Newsies
A Sugar Motta Rewrite
So let’s be real I’m probably just projecting a ton, but I think that with a few adjustments Sugar had potential as a character. So this is my Sugar Motta rewrite, inspired by @kurthummeldeservesbetter
So about the Aspergers… by this time aspergers was already no longer an medical term, it would be on the autistic spectrum. But the thing is with the way they did it it just came off like she was pretending to be neurodivergent to get away with saying things? I don’t think that is good rep and for this rewrite I’m going to say she isn’t on the spectrum because I wouldn’t know how to write that correctly and glee sure didn’t.
Now on her singing (this is where the projecting comes in). I think that a really good use of her would be to have this girl who loves to sing and loves to dance. But doesn’t realize that she’s really not that great at it. Her dad tends to spoil her and he doesn’t want to hurt her by telling her that she’s not good enough. So when she auditions for ND she still has that air of superiority and still does terribly. When Mr Schue doesn’t let her in the club she’s heartbroken. This is the first taste of reality she’s gotten about her own voice. So the troubletones still happen (but I would totally send different people over there, much more similar to @kurthummeldeservesbetter’s). When the ex New Direction members show up they realize that this gatekeeping they participated in, towards someone who so obviously cares about music was really just hurting the arts at their school.
It’s around this point that I would want Sugar to get a number, that isn’t perfect, but shows that she’s a quick study and is trying really hard at this. When the Troubletones fold back into the New Directions it would be great to have a plotline where Sugar is worried that she still won’t be good enough for them. And then someone (preferably Kurt because I’m a sucker for him mentoring and protecting the newbies) would give Sugar a pep talk about loveing the music and working hard and how they were wrong.
Idk I feel like this would have been a good use of Sugars character? To provide some juxtaposition to the main club who all came in and could sing like professionals, having someone work towards that goal is really important to me. It also would have given her a plot line beyond the Valentine’s Day episode and then maybe people would have liked her enough that she wouldn’t just disappear all the time in the next two seasons. And then Sugar could be a really interesting character to look through the eyes of in 4x01. With them bullying everyone? Idk I thought this would be cool.
We had the plane on wire tracks that the dancers would always lift accidentally during Toledo Surprise so it would be my job to army crawl on our second layer during intermission to retape them.
Lemme just say that I LOVE your username
Thank you! My freshman year my school did The Drowsy Chaperone for the school musical I was on tech and it was so amazing it kinda never leaves my brain.
Drowsy is the ultimate freshman experience, especially if you schools quality in musical has a big jump between middle school and high school. It’s just so wild and great. We built an over 12 foot structure, it was awesome
