It’s a shivering feeling that radiates from the pit of Houmei’s stomach or the small of his back, radiating out like an earthquake. His tail twitches. He bounces his leg. His mouth goes dry.

This is what happens when someone asks him where he’s from. Does he hail from Othard? Is he a refugee? Is he hoping to return to Doma now that it’s rebuilding?

He lets those quaking nerves turn into a cheerful smile.

“I’m from the sea! I’ve been sent ashore to learn about how folk live on dry land. I’m the prince of jellyfish!”

They might laugh. They might stare. They’ll probably blink a moment, not sure what to think.

But he’ll feel steady, after that.

When was the last time you wanted to say it all to the right person? To have it all come out right, to surprise yourself at how together you could be. When was the last time you ever met someone who made you want to give it all to them?

Continuing in the vein of snow leopards being the most extra cats ever, here’s mom Kira being “surprised” by one of her cubs. Sisters Naphisa and Pandora were born at the Stone Zoo on May 6th. Since those videos of big cats “over-reacting” to being pounced by their cubs are so popular, I asked where this behavior comes from - are they really hamming it up, or is it genuine surprise? One of Kira’s zookeepers noted it looks a lot like her normal play behaviors, so there’s a good chance it’s one of her ways of playing with her cubs. Since most play behaviors are crucial to teaching baby animals the skills they’ll need to survive as adults, it makes sense that snow leopard play would include stalking and pouncing!

I drew human me! (Or at least tried to lol)

I am a bigger girl who loves to wear baggy soft sweaters and leggings when I relax, which I can again now that it’s getting colder ^^ The little necklace is actually an Urn Necklace that has some of the ashes from my dad. I have it with me all the time. I put a nervous look on her cause I am an awkward lady lol Hope you enjoy, and if not that’s ok cause I know I’m a fine lady ^^
