To gain weight is so easy, it happens fast. But losing weight takes so much time, so don’t you dare eat that chocolate bar, that pizza or whatever you’re craving so much right now. Put it down, don’t ruin your progress, don’t ruin that last pound you lost.

Wacom Mobile studio 16 two weeks of use.

As some of you may remember my great struggle of Surface Book, I was pretty much disgusted from day 1 by it.

Well With Wacom Mobile studio the experience has been very different, from first moment I laid my pen on it, to this day it’s been a blast. There’s no hitches, the pen doesn’t toss surprises your way, the drawing feel is great, pressure feels much more intuitive and in control, and the light touch sketching works even better than any Wacom I’ve tried before.

The benefits of surface book are there with Wacom too, but the GPU utilization is much more effective, the device doesn’t heat up as much, and is silent, much more silent than surface book. The drawing surface is anti-glare and the Wacom shortcut keys are great on the side of the device, this is how a drawing tablet PC should be made!

The 4K UHD display has amazing color reproduction and even more impressive it becomes when you realize there’s no back light bleed at all that I can see.

Performance is great even for gaming, runs even modern DOOM at a reasonable frame rates of 60, to where it is capped. Though I don’t intend to be using this device for gaming, I gave the GPU a test.

Now, the only minor downside of this device is the touch function which is a bit unpredictable, the touch detection is very sensitive so sometimes it’s easy to swipe your view to the side or poke another program up from the task bar when fiddling around with it. But touch can be deactivated and it might just be a matter of getting used to it, the palm rejection and touch deactivation is also automated for when the pen is near the display.

All in all amazing device that just oozes quality when you hold it in your hand. Feels solid enough to be used as melee weapon and every detail is well finished.

I would definitely recommend this for any artist. It’s pricey, but unlike with my experiences with Microsoft and Apple products, this cost feels justified to last detail and spec the device boats.

I look forward to never having to take involuntary breaks from drawing ever again. Fuck you health, I have art to do!

Speaking of art, stream soon!

When was the last time you wanted to say it all to the right person? To have it all come out right, to surprise yourself at how together you could be. When was the last time you ever met someone who made you want to give it all to them?

Drawing a mistress of magnetism

Hey how did you color the pages of the voltron coloring book digitally? I dont know how to save the pages individually.

the way I did the first two was screenshot it (by pressing ctrl and PrtScr at the same time) then pasting it into SAI (ctrl + V).  You have to set the lineart layer to multiply or you won’t be able to see anything underneath.

I did the last one by converting the pdf file to PNG images on this website and then open it in SAI and again set it to multiply. (^-^)

if you use PS to colour you can change a layer to multiply also so you can do it there too.

I hope this helped, good luck d( ̄◇ ̄)b

#Not My President

… Because im British…

And laughing my ass off at the bitch fest thats come of the election. Its like watching an entire nation put into a reality TV show. Seriously, protests, hashtags and keyboard warrior attitudes combined with a “Holier than thou” attitude will achieve nothing, smarten up, take your head out your ass and move on to something thats in the future that CAN be changed. Political activism is great but not retrospectively you daft ponse.

Finish Your Antibiotics

I’m sorry, this isn’t Jojo at all but I think I’ve had it for today. As a pharmacy tech, I’m tired of hearing “Well, I started to feel better so I didn’t finish them.” I always knew this but now as a Molecular and Cellular Biology major, I not only know why but how. If you’re willing to heed my advice from the title, good; be on your way. If you need to know more, keep reading.

It’s widely known–to some extent–that not completing a regiment of antibiotics can result in resistant bacteria, or even super bacteria.

But in an infection, you already have resistant bacteria lurking. Not taking antibiotics doesn’t literally create resistant bacteria. So how, then, do the antibiotics take care of the resistant ones?

image

A lot of antibiotics aren’t bacterialcidal: They don’t actually kill them. Many inhibit growth by some mechanism depending if the bacterium is gram negative or gram positive. For example, penicillin inhibits growth by disrupting the formation of a peptidoglycan layer on gram positive bacteria. Others target the LPS layer on gram negative ones. This keeps the non resistant bacteria at bay. So what kills the resistant ones? Your immune system. Antibiotics buy time and energy for your immune system to recognize and destroy the resistant strains. Your immune system is intelligent in that sense and can form antibodies for new illnesses. It’s important to give your immune system this time because bacteria grow, mutate, and transfer genetic material at astonishing rates. If you wanted to look at a microcosm of the mechanics that go into evolution, you’ve got it with bacteria.

There are three methods aside from binary fission in which they transfer genes (I won’t get into the minutia of the form of informational material): Transformation, transduction and conjugation.

image

In transformation, a bacterium can pickup lost genes from a ruptured and dead cell.

image

Transduction is a way to transfer information via a viral vector.

image

In conjugation, genes are transferred through something called a pilus: It’s a bridge between two cells that pipes a copy of the information from one cell to another receptive cell and is the only method that doesn’t involve killing either cells. Resistant bacteria like to give around that resistance information like they’re burning a CD for their friends.

So please finish your antibiotics if you’ve been given them. It doesn’t matter if you’ve started to feel better or even great. Finish them.

(Hey science people, If I’ve missed anything or even got something wrong, help me out. There’s obviously lengthy stuff I’ve left out but I think I got the basics).

Then you said “You almost dropped me” so then I did and I got mud on my shoes

If he has suffered abuse

Take him seriously please. He needs just as much reassurance, and love, and care, as any girl who has been hurt. If he flinches when you touch his face… be gentle and tell him it’s okay and that you love him. If he gets sad, or clingy, and needs constant affirmation, don’t mock him or tease or become frustrated. He’s scared. He needs you. If he doesn’t always trust you, it’s because he’s been lied to before, and he’s learned that sometimes the words “I’ll love you forever” don’t mean anything. Show that man that he’s loved, and he’s cared for. You might have to prove to him every day that you’re not gonna leave him or hurt him. You should never be angry about that. It’s not his fault. Give him the relationship he always deserved.
