There's a unique hell to be experienced if you're someone who's any type of self aware of your paranoia and/or delusions and you try your best to not 'freak out' over them ever due to masking or just wanting to maintain some sort of self-control so people aren't cruel to you... because now people will not take your issues with paranoia/delusions seriously and not believe you even have them.
Family, friends, therapists, other professionals, ANYONE you may try and talk to about your issues with will dismiss your concerns with the bullshit 'oh, but you seem to be aware, so it doesn't look like it's really a problem then', because most of these people think the only way to experience paranoia/delusions is when paired with hallucinations and breakdowns. Society punishes people who act out - you're called crazy and outcasted and people want you locked up in a psyche ward - but when you try your best to behave 'normally', people just act like you're being dramatic and/or you'll get over it easily, or they're just straight up invalidate you and say you aren't experiencing anything.
Like... no, they're affecting my life, and very badly! Just because I'm not overtly breaking down in front of people every time they flare up and get really bad for me doesn't mean it's not ruining my life and sanity and relationships!! Do I really need to throw myself on the floor and start screaming when it gets bad for me again so someone will finally believe my struggle? You really can't ever win when it comes to mental illness and it's so damn depressing and infuriating.

hey sexy. I can tell by the frequency of your blog updates that you are once again avoiding it all
i want john to narrate an ocean nature documentary
“OH ORTHER…. that jellyfish… it’s.. massive”
also he’d make everything sound like some hideous sea monster
“it’s fins turn up in knife-like spikes, it’s bulbous eye, protrudes from its head…” (he’s literally just describing a common sea bass)
IT'S FINALLY DONE!!!
Finally, you can have a critter of your very own! Or 50 of them! Your call!
Looplet features a couple more traits than your standard shimeji, including some interactions, a hotspot (so you can pet them) and adjusted chances for various animations to play. Ultimately, they'll make doing anything on your computer 5x harder by running around and distracting you constantly :)
This shimeji contains vague spoilers for lategame In Stars and Time, but you can probably get away with using them if u haven't finished the game, since they are so so vague. Still, be mindful of this if you care about spoilers!
To use the shimeji simply download, unzip, make sure you have Javascript 8 installed, and doubleclick the jar file inside the folder! If you have any other issues running the shimeji, please consult the readme txt inside the folder.
ALSO! If you encounter any bugs while using the shimeji, please let me know! Editing the code was a bit nightmarish (there's so little documentation online) so it's a bit held together with duct tape and I wouldn't be surprised if anything went wrong. As a side note, yes the 'dragging' animation will delete one of the looplets if cloning is disabled, unfortunately there's nothing I can do about that one 😔
In any case… have fun, everyone!
