and when they play women it’s almost always some stereotypical and misogynistic shit. also, you can disagree with me, but tommy building his yt channel around ‘serving cunt’ is disgusting and stupid. gays will say this as a compliment (i don’t see it as one btw) and in the same breath use c-word as an insult exclusively towards women. they’re too comfortable with misogynistic language and behaviour, because for some reason women let them get away with it. we have been their biggest allies (even hetero women) since day one and that’s how they treat us? have some fucking respect.
Gotta agree that Chanse’s misogyny really rubs me the wrong way and it’s extra disappointing that nobody seems to call him out on it. ATP I don’t watch any Reddit stories with him because I know he’ll get on my nerves but even in other videos a lot of his humor seems rooted in attacking women too. Tommy is also very guilty of this especially lately, so many of his bits r just ruthlessly attacking women in a simply nasty way. As a lesbian I’m sick of gay men getting a pass to be straight up vitriolic towards women, it’s not like the humor is satirical in a way that subverts misogyny rather it attacks women the same way any other sexist would.

frite without butter is the same as tater without headphones
they are so important
edit> i forgot frite's butter!!!!!!
I actually fucking hate it here, when will women wake the fuck up.
“I’m not a boy, therefore I need to wear makeup!” This is sooo progress 😍 gender ideology isn’t misogynistic at all!
“Thank you mom for that inner beauty talk that still has me googling makeup advice” this one is so heartbreaking because even if a mother tries to raise a daughter to be critical of beauty industry/fitting the standards of beauty in general, she still faces the whole pressure of the world
Women have the most freedom now more than ever, and therefore the beauty standards have been lifted to the point of skyrocketing makeup and plastic surgery sales in order to “keep them in their place”. It’s normalized to make fun of women for not performing makeup or femininity correctly, if you criticize this industry you’re “not a girls girl” and called ugly, gross, and unhygienic for not shaving or wearing makeup. It’s enforced by women as well as our capitalistic system and patriarchy.
I truly cannot see how anyone can argue that makeup is “just for fun” with comments like this being so common by women. Makeup and beauty isn’t for “fun”, it’s driven by patriarchy in an effort to keep woman in a self-created panopticon where they constantly criticize themselves.
no no, you’re okay! my post wasn’t directed at you, i should’ve clarified this. i just used yours to address complaints i’ve seen before.
I think people's issues with Smosh Reddit Stories would be solved if they filmed it in a different way.
On most reddit videos, there is at least one story that there is a bad take to. And the comments always get on it and sometimes are put off of the person the take came from. (Personally, I'll usually disagree and have a rant in my head and then just move on). It has been pointed out though that these are their first impressions, and they are often filming reddit stories at the end of a shoot week or like first thing in the morning.
If that is truly the cause of the bad takes when they happen, then a different way of filling could theoretically fix it. Since we probably still want their first reactions, there could be a start point that is just them being read the stories. Then their takes could be filmed at a later time, either later in that day or later in the shoot week, thus giving them time to process and think instead of saying absolute first thoughts. This would also probably reduce the amount that they miss key details.
Idk it would probably be a lot harder to do this way, but it was fun to think about.
taking smosh reddit stories so seriously and being so mad about cast’s takes is really stupid. they are reacting based on the small piece of info they are given, they can’t really see the full picture and obviously they don’t know these people personally. they can only interpret a situation in their own way and speak theoretically or from their own experience.
also, guests don’t have the post itself in front of their eyes so they’re only relying on hearing it and this way of receiving information is hard for some people. thus, some context might (and does) get lost. they don’t have time to reread it, fully digest and form a solid opinion (about a story that could easily be a lie). but they still try. they still find ways to approach the situation from different perspectives and to see both sides.
keep in mind, we’re talking about entertainers, not counsellors. they are ordinary people with their own opinions which can (and maybe should) contradict with yours. they can’t take into account everyone’s feelings, povs, struggles etc. so they probably don’t mean any harm, just sometimes possibly could’ve known better. i think we have other and more important things to call smosh out for.

so true. even in the recent games video he said posting colourful socks is for cringe middle aged white women or something. like… what? even this small remark gave me an ick, so don’t get me started on other stuff he says. also, smosh men actually love putting “white” in front of “women” just to get away with classic misogyny. i feel bad for angela.
Strangely, one member of the cast that truly stands out to me for their routine misogyny is Chanse. It may be that I'm queer, and I'm used to queer spaces where gay men expect to get away with it, so I could be projecting. But, it can be so offputting at times, because it doesn't even feel like a bit. It's just instinctive and sometimes spiteful. The more Smosh I watch, the more Angela's 'misandrist' outbursts feel like a cope.

The hard truth that they don’t want to hear. Straight asexuals aren’t a systemically oppressed minority and it’s disrespectful for them to act like they are. (And I’m speaking as someone who’s likely aromantic)
Dude some things cannot be satirized, and the sexy bimbo woman is one of them. You literally cannot draw or create a woman sexy enough or stupid enough that it will make men not want to fuck her or realize how crazy cum brained male attraction to women is. Men will fuck anyone and anything, I wish women would stop trying to make commentary on it when it's only getting men off. Think of Karen from Mean Girls or Jessica Rabbit. I'm certain y'all can think of a few animes that would fit this category.
You also cannot make a proper satire out of women simping for male approval when women literally shave off their own bones to appear more petite and appealing to men and literally defend rapists like their lives depend on it. Our reality is beyond satire or parody.
I'm in love with the shape of you We push and pull like a magnet do 😐🥔
men should be banned from using band names that imply there are women in the band and then having no (or only like. one) women. like. scissor sisters. queen. machine girl. black veil brides. sisters of mercy. all your sisters. women. queens of the stone age. she wants revenge. alice in chains. actually kind of crazy how many there are considering it's rare for women to do the inverse. like what is it with that. so annoying when i think i found a cool band with women in it and it's jsut another bunch of dudes.
male/female socialisation is the fact that in the middle of a meltdown usually autistic males punch around themselves with no concern while we punch ourselves because of concern
One of the most effective ways of making females stronger protagonists in society is to prioritise them in our choices and to live a consciously gynocentric life, whenever practicable. Are you voting? Looking for a tattoo artist? Need a plumber, a gardener, a builder? A voiceover artist for your video? A DJ for your party? Security staff for your business? Find a sister. Give her your time, give her economic power, help her achieve her dreams. Choose women, it is a small act in your daily life but with massive impact. We’ve got to do this for each other, because I don’t see anybody else giving a fuck.

Oh hey check out my dad!
terfs aren’t even radfems, why are you claiming to be a feminist yet all you do is be transphobic and not talk about women’s rights?
yes, feminism includes trans women. “b-b-but trans women and cis women don’t have the same experiences” yeah neither does a northern European woman and an central African woman.
and if you say that trans women aren’t real women, you’re just plain transphobic. men are the problem, trans women aren’t just because they happen to be born with a peen.
after World War 2, soviet female soldiers were not met with respect.
while male soldiers that were coming back were praised, women used to hide their medals and kept their own victories as secrets. they were not only seen as lesser beings, women that fought in the military were called "frontline dolls". post-war society considered them used. families estranged them.
women that fought for their country, risked their lives, came back disabled were not important to the society anymore. they were raped, they had things thrown at them, they were laughed at. no man wanted to marry them, and nothing was as dehumanasing towards women as not being considered "marriage material" -- they basically lost all of their worth to male society.
to our knowledge, there was close to 1 million of women on the frontlines. they fought just as hard only to lose their lives either in combat, or back home. most of their names were lost and never remembered again.
UAAAAAAAAA 🗣️🚨
Men will literally put 0 effort into their appearance and wonder why they’re ugly.
