I'm trying really hard to catch up with all your sweet asks and messages. So if I somehow miss yours, I am so sorry! I'm just a bit overwhelmed atm haha

So I've got this httyd au idea that I've been sitting on for awhile now, I guess it could be considered as a rewrite or something but I don't see it that way. Anyway here's some ideas for my Colourful Nights AU, I'm still working out the factors so it's not the best.

There's going to be more of my thoughts under the cut (aka the usual Hauntley rambling)

First and foremost, the idea to give Grimmel a night fury comes from this post on reddit

Before seeing this I had 100% planned to just... Not have Grimmel exist in the Colourful Nights au? I kind of hate his whole- thing?

I had the idea of Grimmel seeing what Drago did and deciding that where the man failed was not in trying to control dragons, but instead that he didn't try to control powerful dragons specifically. I know that Toothless is supposed to be an endling, but I think the idea of Grimmel slowly building his own dragon army but with dragons he considers powerful and having a few night furies is cool so. Maybe he kept a couple of night furies back during the mass fury hunts, because having them bend to his will makes him feel powerful? Or maybe he only had one. I'm not sure if I'll even keep it but I like the idea.

For my light fury design (I call her Clearscales), I liked the idea of her being a night fury with some sort of genetic mutation, and I'm not sure if I want to keep the disappearing act or not? I like it but I don't know if it would still work if I gave her darker scales, but also! Would I be able to call her Clearscales still? :( That's a very important part, because I've gotten attached to the name.

I also had an idea that relates back to a fact about the Dramillion titan in rtte, it has the ability to camouflage itself like a changewing because they're distantly related, implying that titans have access to traits the normal members of their species don't have.

So what if Toothless' lightning isn't an inherent night fury skill, but instead a trait of night fury titans? Maybe it's due to a possible distant relation with skrills? I always liked the idea that the "lightning" part of "Offspring of lightning and death" was because their blasts look somewhat like a the result of a lightning strike (at least in the 1st movie), but maybe it's also because a titan was witnessed doing this, and because the second and third movies imply that after the first transformation, the titans don't look any different from the normal members, people just assumed that it was something they could all do, and ontop of everything else, it led to a mass panic and hunt?

I'm all over the place and am in no way coherent, but that's my dumb little idea, if you're reading this I can't believe you actually read what I wrote, or scrolled down through it at least. Thank you :)

It's a bit of a long post, sorry

I drew OC stuff yesterday but never posted it and I feel like that was a good choice on my part honestly.

I'm quite busy today, but I'll try to post some BSD sketches later on, and I'll most likely be getting cotl sometime this week. (Why do you have a plushy but not the game? Because I thought I'd have the game by the time I got the plushy lol)

I recommend expecting more fanart than usual! I got a new drawing tablet, it's completely different from my old one and I'll probably end up doing fanart while I figure stuff out~

I also want to do some Danny Phantom stuff because it's the anniversary, but I'm not entirely sure what or if I will. (May be the brief return of Phantom's Façade)

Anyway, today is an all or nothing posting day, I will either post nothing, or everything!

SO LIKE-- we know the body was different, but when did the switch occur ?? cuz my theroy is switching concouisseness or bodies, but it could also have something to do with nikolai. so i was looking at the body, and on the face- were those stitches or bandages? what were they for? and THE IMPORTANT THING- WHEN DID THE SWITCH OCCUR? becuase the timeing is everything cuz it could tell us how its activated. but we also need to take into account karma, and what happened with the gaurd. i notced that the vampire was different from the dead body (lets call him 9).

so who was that, and where did he come from? the only way a body could have been like that is A) nikolai switched them out using his ability, or B) [personal take] if fyodor can actually switch bodies, when he enters or takes them over, the physical features shift to look like him. that would explain how he looked the same in the memories sigma is seeing. or it could also have something to do with the stiches on the face. but if the switch occurred, that would mean fyodor would have had to entered the body of someone else. and who would that be? THE HELICOPETER PIOLET. my theory is that fyodors ability is activated when someone harms him, so that would explain what went on in the dungeon after the guard stabbed him. he would have switched after being stabbed, and that is what couldve happened in the helicopter. and the reason the dead body looks different is bc after fyodor leaves a body, it regains its og features and form.

that was all for scenario B. scenario A, with nikolai, is that they already had the different body prepared, but this one is the most unlikely for a number of reasons, the main few being that 1- nikolai's grief was genuine, 2- the timing was iffy. but this also works well because i looked closely, and i cant really see the stab wound. this would mean the switch happened after fyodors last words, meaning something happened with the different bodies. like i said before, it all depends on the time.
