If I had to name my favourite fics... I haven't been reading a lot of fics recently, and it always makes me uneasy to put down a list because I definitely am going to forget some that I adore and it feels unfair, but on the very top of my mind (and also with the disclaimer of these being like, personal favourites. Without exaggeration, I know this fic by heart at this point. I just have such a soft spot for it, I've read it very early when I got into the fandom, and it's such a young and carefree portrayal of sskk, it tastes so sweet. I feel like it shaped a lot of how I see sskk.

Their works are like a sskk bible to me. Unbealivably good prose and spectacular characterization. Truth to be told I can never read their works too often because they will send me into an exhistential crisis / will not be able to think about anything else for the rest of the day.

akutagawa stopped killing because atsushi told him to. akutagawa gave his life so atsushi would keep living. atsushi couldn't wholeheartedly attack akutagawa because he was scared of really hurting him and never doubted he was still in there because he saved a girl.
atsushi knew akutagawa was still in there because akutagawa, rabid dog of the port mafia, didn't kill.
