You know how James reacted to Clementine in the cave in episode 4? How aggressive he got with Clem? That’s how he would act. First, privately, he would ask them if they’re okay. “Are you happy?” He’d ask, knowing something felt off. When they tensely said yes, he would ease off, but not a lot. The moment he saw their partner lay hands on them, he’d take action. He slam in their knees and force them to the ground, pushing his boot onto their chest, keeping them down. “You’re sick.” He would spit. “Don’t you ever lay your hands on them again.” He’d force his boot down harder. “If you do, I won’t go this ease on you.” He’d force his boot down as far as possible as he turned away, gathering his crush protectively in their arms and whisking them away. At all times, he stayed beside them. He’d keep a hand on their back, or in their own palm guiding them everywhere they went, helping ensure they felt safe.

Okay honestly,

Let me put my dislike for Sakura aside because I don’t dislike the ship because it involves her, I dislike the ship for Sasuke’s sake. Though, there is definite evidence that needs to be said about Sakura’s character later on.

1. I’ll start with the fact that Sasuke shares zero romantic interest with anyone ANYONE in the series. He does not want it. He is focused on other things. He has said that he does not want it and I get frustrated when a character speaks their mind within their story and then others still assume they don’t know what they are talking about.

2. In addition Sasuke barely respects her and acknowledges her at all. So the idea of them being shipped together makes no sense to me, because for me there needs to be some sense of logic behind a ship especially one we are to believe as canon. With the type of character Sasuke is, he can’t be with someone for the sake of being with them, he isn’t casual like that. He doesn’t even talk to people he doesn’t want to. Sasuke has a personality where his significant other would be someone near and dear to him. Someone who has made an impact on his life. Now I won’t say that he does not care for her in a small way, he wanted the team to be safe during their time together as Team 7 and looked out for everyone including Sakura, but just because someone takes on responsibility like that it doesn’t mean he wants that pussy.

3. Something else to consider is, Sasuke doesn’t need someone to control him and keep him tied down to a location. He deserves to be where he wishes after all that he has been through. I don’t ever remember him being happy to come “home” to Konoha. So why would he want to be with someone who lives there? Maybe things would make more sense if Sakura (or insert any girl here) were to up and leave Konoha to find another home. But keep in mind that someone like Sasuke who has spend years locked inside his head and alone in solitude does not crave to be surrounded by people and always talking and such. Sasuke shows a lot of signs of depression so nearly any relationship that involves him will have to face off with his depression and isolation scars.

4. Sakura does not respect Sasuke’s feelings, she only respects her own. She never asks him how he feels, or of he likes her, or if he cares about her. She lives in a world that only belongs to her and I personally stem behavior like that from her being an only child. Maybe I’m getting too deep into this but Sakura and Naruto have a very selfish mentality where if a situation does not involve them then they will force their way in and they will project their feelings onto the other person. To be honest, the reason I prefer the idea of Naruto being with Sakura is because they share similar perspectives where they are selfish, childish at times, they yell to get their way and they project their feelings into others, and they bully people into doing what they want them to do with severe lack of respect for the other person. Naruto and Sakura also work really well together, and I saw this proven when they met Sai.

The moment Sakura and Naruto were introduced to Sai opened my eyes wide to the fact that the Naruto I liked pre-shippuden was no longer with us. When Sai came in we saw both Sakura and Naruto reject him, put him down, call him weird and invade his privacy to pry into his life without asking. They often compared him to Sasuke which I think is just do sad because Sai is his own person despite being part of Root, he is still his own being. Regardless, because Sai wasn’t what they both wanted, they rejected him until they were able to get to know him better and so on. This part of the story showed me the type of behavior Sakura and Naruto were capable of and I absolutely loathed it. I remember thinking, ‘this is our hero?’ And I shook my head.

5. Anyway back to Sasuke and Sakura. My point is that from they way I interpreted the manga I feel that Sakura is not the girl for Sasuke and for the main reason being that he said he was not interested. If he said he was not interested in Ino then I wouldn’t ship that, if he said he wasn’t interested in Karin, then I wouldn’t ship that, etc. Sasuke’s personality isn’t a mysterious one where he speaks in riddles and you need to dissect it. He speaks boldly and bluntly, what he says is what he means. He said he was not interested therefore, because I like and respect his character, I believe that he does not want to be with her. So why would I ship that?

Within any canon or AU, Sasuke finds comfort only with any member of Taka. I suppose that, perhaps, he mostly finds comfort with Jugo and Suigetsu’s company because Karin ‘can be a real freak’ as Suigetsu would label her. But for the majority, Sasuke can lean on them as someone to be near at social gatherings because Taka is not just a group of weirdoes, they are the weirdoes Sasuke chose.

Dany literally begged Jon. Begged him to choose her. To choose their family. The family that they made for themselves. She gave every last inch of her vulnerability to him. To protect their future. And he sold their love for his honor. That was the moment I knew that they’d never find happiness within the walls of Winterfell. Within the kingdom of Westeros. These two people, these rulers are too good for this world. It is swallowing them alive.

Political Jon

People keep posting that it is confirmed in this episode that Sansa is in love with Jon. Agreed. But I think it is also confirmed Jon is NOT in love with Dany, and never was. At the feast, he barely looks at her. His body is positioned with his back to her and with as much space as he can put between them without literally being in Sansa’s lap.

Why isn’t Jon spending time with his love at a celebration filled with people looking to get their sexy times on?

The only time he even looks at her is when he remembers he needs to, like when Tormund calls him a king, and a dragon rider. 

Even then, it is clear to anybody watching that she looks isolated and uncomfortable. Jonny, boy. Now would be a good time to go help her feel more welcome.

Later, when Jon is alone in his room, he doesn’t look like a man who is hurting from too much to drink. He looks like a man who is still reeling from what they’ve all just been through.

When Dany comes in, and this may be my pol!jon goggles on, but he seems to look at her first as though she is intruding.

He brings up Ser Jorah, someone he knows she cared about. He spent time with Jorah and wants to offer her comfort, tell her he died the way he wanted to. But instead of saying anything about how brave he was, or how much she is in pain having lost him, she mentions that he loved her in a way she could never love him. This is Jon’s response.

She clarifies that her concern is Jon feels that way about her. That he doesn’t love her the way she loves him. This is the first we hear her saying it to Jon directly, and he noticeably does not say it back. Instead he kisses her. He tries to have sex with her, but then he simply can’t.

Even if Jon loved her before, or was trying really hard to, things have changed for him. She says she wishes he never told her, that she didn’t know so things could be the same. His facial expression seems to communicate that he thinks she is referring to their relation, but she quickly points out that the problem is his claim.

Which beyond frustrates him.

We don’t get a lot of Jon’s POV so far, but in this moment we see him hiding nothing. She can’t see his face, but we can. He tells her, in an irritated tone, “I told you I don’t want it.”

So you want to tell me that Daenerys gets killed by Jon, the person she saved three times because she will probably kill some innocent people while taking revenge on Cersei and everyone else who killed her family and her friends?

Jon, the Wildlings killed innocent people as well yet you teamed up with them because of MeRcY. Jaime Lannister did some shitty things but you accept him. You slept with a girl who killed a whole village, but you think you have to kill Dany for taking revenge while totally furious because Cersei took everything from her?

Cersei, a woman, is already the main villain. They turned all the other powerful female characters into villains; mad queens and snakes fighting each other, like Sansa and Dany. Even though Dany HELPED the north and sacrificed her dragon, her armies, everything, they still can’t trust her. Why? Cause she’s a woman. And empowered woman are snakes not to be trusted. That’s how we are represented by writers. That’s how the sexist world sees us. Meanwhile, male protagonists in GOT are the good guys, the heros, or they are grey characters whose good side is more accentuated, having a redemption arc that excuses their mistakes like Jamie and Theon. That’s why. We need. More. Fucking female writers.
