I just completed this drawing of a tiktaalik :]
I wanted to avoid the trope of depicting tiktaalik crawling out of the water, forever trapped in this liminal space between water and land. I think the images of many prehistoric animals in popular culture tend to be reduced down to one simple thing they're known for, and I want to remind everyone who sees my art that these were real animals with complex lives.
