I keep seeing people call the Trump administration shit like “schizophrenic” and “psychotic” and can we fucking not do this please???? schizophrenics and people with psychosis have a biological and neurological basis for their behavior and beliefs. there is no biological basis for being racist and sexist and a monster. schizophrenics and ppl with psychosis are innocent. you can’t beat bigotry with more bigotry

I’m not gonna lie, the whole “what if a big, hairy trans man started using the women’s bathroom? what are TERFs gonna do then?” thing kinda pisses me off being used as some checkmate, because it insinuates that passing trans men would have any kind of power in that situation. If a passing trans man is forced to use the women’s bathroom, you know what will happen? Security will be called on him, he’ll be thrown out, and he’ll be forced to out himself as trans in order to avoid punishment, which will put an even bigger target on his back. He’s still going to be harassed. He’s still going to be forced into an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situation, and he probably won’t avoid punishment anyway because the current laws in place are never going to favour any trans person’s defence over a cis person’s.
It also completely ignores trans men who aren’t “big and hairy” and don’t pass enough to be mistaken for a cis man. Non-passing trans men (or even men who look or sound effeminate enough to be suspected) who are forced to use the women’s bathrooms are still at a huge risk of harassment or even violence, especially young trans boys who are forced into their assigned bathrooms at school. Nex Benedict was literally murdered in a girl’s bathroom. Girls and women aren’t these inherently non-violent, peaceful and submissive beings (for one thing, that’s misogynistic). Trans men and boys get beaten up by them too, because most of us pre-T aren’t considered a threat, and we fucking die.
That’s not even to mention the trouble we already have in men’s bathrooms, because if we don’t pass, cis men will interrogate us on whether or not we’re “real men” and then sexually assault us if they discover we’re trans. Corrective rapes that trans men face is not something to be ignored, and I have trans male friends that it’s happened to who are lucky to be alive right now.
Bathroom laws will affect us just as much. The violence that trans women face is something that trans men can also relate to, and both need to be talked about without people categorising all trans men as “big, hairy, strong men able to beat up anyone who tries to threaten them” when that’s not the case like 90% of the time. Acting like passing trans men are just there to make TERFs look stupid, when TERFs are the ones who are violent towards us no matter how much we pass, is just diminishing our experiences.
Some women are conditioned to be fragile and weak, and to believe that it's a sin to outperform a man. Her feminism would involve allowing women to be strong.
Some women are expected to be strong at times when they can't. Her feminism would involve reassuring her that it's okay to not be strong.
Some neurodivergent people are raised to believe that they're too stupid to ever amount to anything. Their disability activism would involve reassuring them that they're capable.
Some neurodivergent people are raised to believe that they're smart and gifted, and are expected to live up to impossible standards. Their disability activism would involve allowing them to fail, make mistakes, be stupid, etc.
Some children are constantly reminded "you're the child, I'm the adult" in order to deny their autonomy. Their youth rights activism would involve treating them like an adult at times when they feel ready for it.
Some children are treated like adults in order to justify increased expectations or to downplay abuse against them. Their youth rights activism would involve allowing them to be a child.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution to oppression. Each individual person's experience is different. Whatever trauma is caused by their oppression, the activism should focus on undoing it.

I'm yapping again ougg this is a crosspost of my twitter thread but cleaned up
Have you ever noticed how the beginning and end of MSI poetically come full circle? Both bring in religion. It starts with the self-titled and ends with PINK, right?. We'd think this would be the last religious reference from Jimmy, but actually, we'd come across it again, for the last time.
The last track of EURINGER, Two and a half years, is a track from an overlooked album that doesn't relate directly to MSI, but does relate to James Euringer, and quite a lot. We all felt like EURINGER was more of a personally instrospective album, with songs like Problematic, Piece of me, That's how Jimmy gets down, and Fuck Everything, that clearly talk about Jimmy's position about many situations that surrounded him at that time.
The part I want to highlight has an explicit religious context, but is often overlooked, not because it’s "boring," but because it’s in spanish. I translated it.
As a native Spanish speaker, I had trouble understanding this: phrases are cut off, reused, reversed, syllables and words are skipped, whispers along with a tense sound. Why would Jimmy do this? Is he trying to tell us (or not tell us) something?
This wouldn't be the first one Jimmy makes something like this, in fact, it reminded me of Envy, a song that also makes use of backmasking, ambiguous sounds and cryptic whispers to deliver a mysterious message.
I wondered about this and looked back on what we already know. Despite knowing that Jimmy is strongly anti-religion, religion has been (or could still be) a profound part of him.
Jimmy was raised in a catholic school and likely a religious household. His Mexican mom, from a predominantly catholic country, may have instilled this faith in him. The video is in spanish, so I interpret his religious influence as coming from his mom.
My interpretation is: James leaves the table, frustrated by his father's words. He walks out of the house, and we hear him running down the street or getting out of a car until he reaches a place where a speaker/preacher/worship leader is reciting praises.
He opens the door, and we hear the voice more clearly, it makes little echo, so I think it's more like a garage room or empty big room that is used to pray.
(This is what I imagine)
The track then transitions from him being in that room to apparently being in a park or field, with grass, bird and insects around, the tense sound has dissapeared. Could it maybe communicate peace? introspection? melancholy?
For me, I feel that it means this was a flashback, and his mind just returned to the present in his home in New Zealand, where we know there are open fields and animals, hence the sounds.
Finally, the track ends with one simple piano note, which clearly feels melancholic, or contemplative. It’s as if James was reflecting on something, or a painful memory has resurfaced in his mind.
It’s truly fascinating, and I believe it’s something worth exploring if you're interested in this topic. In conclusion, I love how these subtleties exist and invite deeper reflection on his career/life.
