Dear tiktok please stop oversimplifying nu metal artists ok. No korn is not the boomnananamena band. No system of a down is not the funny haha terracotta pie band. No deftones is not the horny band. Maybe those things are present sometimes, but they are not all they are.

This especially pisses me off with SOAD, they are such an extremely political antifascist band and it’s so easy to tell? They added the extreme, sometimes goofy elements so that the actual message would stick out a bit more. And while it definitely worked in the past tiktok kinda ruined it by solely focusing on the silly goofy hahas. To the point where people outright reject them being political.
