i just think we should never forget that 13 year old percy jackson carried a picture of annabeth chase around in his notebook just so he could look at it and remind himself that she was real
I go absolutely feral over how the descriptions of Percy change based on whether or not he's around Annabeth. We see the most impressive descriptions of Percy when he's alone. Hazel describes him as a god, Apollo says he's intimidating, and Frank is very impressed by him. But when he's around Annabeth the descriptions of him are so much more tame. Piper calls him unimpressive and Magnus describes him as just 'some guy.' I like to think that Percy is just so relaxed and happy around Annabeth that it affects the way people view him. Different people bring out different sides of him and I love that Annabeth makes him act like a normal teenage boy who just loves his girlfriend.
