Alabaster stopper from Tutankhamun’s canopic jar which contained the king’s organ removed during mummification. The alabaster canopic chest is considered to be one of the finest masterpieces of Tutankhamun’s collection. The interior of the chest is divided into four compartments, each with a cylindrical hollow covered by a lid elegantly carved in the form of the king’s head.

Deflecting negative energy. Restoring my inner peace and sense of well-being.
This statue was discovered in a deep pit in the tomb of Psamtik, it was found with two others depicting Hathor and Isis.
Osiris is shown seated, wrapped tightly, and holding the crook and flail - symbols of kingship - in his hands, crossed at his torso. He wears the Atef-crown and a uraeus, as well as a divine beard. A formula dedicated by the chief scribe Psamtik to the god is inscribed around the base.
Late Period, 26th Dynasty, ca. 664-525 BC. Schist, from the tomb of Psamtik at Saqqara. Now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo. CG 38358
Calm and centered.
The bust of Queen Nefertiti housed in Berlin’s Neues Museum is one of Ancient Egypt’s most famous works of art. A prime example of ancient artistry, this icon has been called “the most beautiful woman in the world”. Hypnotizing audiences since it went on display in 1923, the statue gives insight into the enigmatic queen and continues to generate controversy and debate in art and politics.
Nefertiti’s bust is the sole work of art in the dimly lit room. She stands 48 cm (19 inches) tall and weighs 20 kg (44 lbs). Positioned slightly above eye level, the viewer gazes up at her, contributing to the power and regal feeling of the piece. The statue is delicate, elegant and very symmetrical with a visual flow guiding you from the top of the crown down to the long neck. The naturalism differs from earlier more formal and rigid Egyptian art.
The estimated date of the statue’s creation is 1345 BC during the Amarna Period. There are no inscriptions, but Nefertiti was identified by her trademark blue flat-top crown with the uraeus (cobra), which is missing. The core is limestone covered with plaster, which allowed for the exception molding and detail around the face.

The interior of the alabaster canopic chest of King Tutankhamun was divided into four compartments, each holding a miniature gold coffin containing the viscera of the king, wrapped in bandages.
These mummiform coffins were decorated inside with texts and outside with a feather design inlaid in carnelian and colored glass and the titles of the king. Each coffin was under the protection of one of the four sons of Horus. This one was dedicated to Hapi and to Nephthys.
