just a living tube of deep-fried monzarella

Now, this may have already been brought up before but here we go{ (Feel free to skip directly to the end, because this is simply a silly explaination/overthinking sesh that I have everytime I see these pictures)
I was comparing old and new cgs on Mario the music box the other day, and there is this one old vs. new cg that really stands out to me, and here it is:
Now, I absolutely adore these two cgs for different reasons. Of course, the new one is much prettier, more expressive, and they actually look like they are caught in the rain. The old one looks like a filter was simply put over the drawing. Now, don't get me wrong, I totally get that these two drawings were done at different points in Corpse Syndrome's life, and it does not take anything away from either in the slightest. Now, in hindsight, it really does make more sense that Alice would stab Riba in the leg to reach his neck easier, given their height difference, as shown by Corpse syndrome's height comparison image here:
Next up, here is another image that shows their height difference in-game. This is a cg taken from MTMBR, when Riba first meets Mario in the hall:
Now when I had seen this new picture the first time, I was absolutely blind-sided by just how freakin' tall Riba is next to Mario. Now perhaps it's just the perspective, which is pretty great, but it was this image that had really got me thinking about a mildly amusing implication that Malice had climbed up Riba's body so she could slice his neck open
Thanks for reading this tangent!
Unrelated side note: Another thing I really like about the newer cgs is that the light sources some of characters use get more visibility. They are truly the unsung heroes of this masterful game
