Chapter 28
Daemon is with Rhaenyra and a group of young nobles who have chosen to spend the afternoon in the Fountain Garden. Some men are playing cards or dice, and a few stand to the side, entertaining themselves with a set of wooden balls, which they try to push into small holes in the ground using long sticks. The ladies are either strolling along the alleyways, picking up flowers, gossiping or sewing. Rhaenyra and Daemon sit under a great silk canopy, a board of Cyvasse between them, while Rhaenyraâs ladies watch the game eagerly. Not too far away, under another canopy, the servants bustle around the trestle table, preparing luncheon for the youth. When the people notice Viserys, they bow and curtsey, murmuring greetings and attempting to start a conversation, but Viserys only smiles and marches on, heading towards his daughter and brother. âWhoâs winning?â he asks when he reaches them. Daemon laughs. âI am.â âNo, youâre not,â Rhaenyra grumbles under her breath.
Chapter 28 / Chapter 1
"Rhaenyra always dressed richly, favoring purple and maroon velvets and golden Myrish lace in intricate patterns. Her bodice often glittered with pearls and diamonds, and there were always rings on her fingers"

"Next time you dare speak in such a way to her grace I will break you in half!" Harwin threatened him. Harwin meant to break him in truth but somehow Rhaenyra placed herself between him and Criston. -The Blacks & the Greens by @sweetestpopcorn Chapter 27 Criston I
I remember cheering when Harwin showed up in this chapter! The way sweetestpopcorn wrote Criston's spiraling was so well done, chills everytime I read a Criston chapter. Don't worry Rhaenyra you get your revenge later!

A Commission
Hi, hope you're well.
I've been reading some of the older chapters because I love our dragon brothers, and when little Viserys is presented at court, Alicent thinks about how baby Aegon 'stole' her son's name as well as his birthright, and that she was the one who wanted to name her son for the Conqueror, not Rhaenyra.
Do you think that had Aegon (son of OTP Baelon and Alyssa) lived, Alicent would have felt so strongly about her son being named for the Conqueror, or would it have meant less to her had another member of House Targaryen already had that name? I imagine part of her possessiveness for it is because she saw her son as Viserys' heir, but would it lose meaning if someone else got there first, rather than someone 'taking' it after her?
Hi there, I hope you are well too.
The problem was that Rhaenyra used the same name Alicent did, and she hates Rhaenyra. That's it đ That's all of it. Like I always say, simplest answer is almost always the correct one, and you can never go wrong if you say it's pettiness and hatred driving these two đ
OTP Baelon and Alyssa would not even be an after thought even if their son Aegon had lived.
This is always about the Princess and the Queen
Alicent *hearing that Rhaenyra and Daemon named their son Aegon*:
