There is a video of a man with his legs newly amputated, screaming in a pool of his own blood. I won’t share the video, because it made me vomit into a toilet, but either trust me it exists or go look for it yourselves.

There is another video of a young girl, crying silently after her legs were blown off in an explosion. She explains tonelessly to the camera man that she doesn’t want fake legs because they’ll just remind her of her real ones. She is 13. (link)

Israel also claims to be the “only democracy in the Middle East”.

Israel has bombed hospitals, fishing boats, schools, refugee camps, power sources, water tanks, evacuation routes. They have killed 80% of Palestinian journalists, they have killed 100 UN workers, they have murdered over 4,000 children in 34 days. Because of the lack of food and water, Palestinians have begun to die from starvation, cholera.

If you still support Israel after all this, I believe you’re completely lost. Utterly without any humanity. Nothing could ever excuse this.

In Australia, there is an ongoing list of protests planned, as well as a permanent camp out being set up in Naarm/Melbourne to block Israeli transport company ZIM from shopping weapons. Congressional staffers in the US are finally being gotten through to - in spite of their rampant greed and long-suffering inhumanity, even they can recognise when their phones won't stop ringing with people saying flat out they'll never vote for them again.

Understand, if power goes out in these hospitals, people will die. Ventilators will go out, operating rooms will be unusable, dialysis machines and life support systems will cease to function. Thousands more will die.

This is the US government's fault. This is the UN's fault. This is Netanyahu's fault. The death toll will skyrocket again, and it will be our fault.

If you are talking about anything other than Palestine, stop. If you aren't yet calling for a ceasefire, start. If you aren't in the streets protesting, blocking weapons manufacturers and surveillance tech companies, do so. 11,000 people are dead already, and that number will likely double in the next week without an immediate end to the genocide of Gaza.

The death toll in Gaza is never going to stop rising. Even if there was an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid went in now, it wouldn't be over. People are going to be living with long term effects of surviving building collapses, not just mentally but physically, the effects of breathing in all the dust. And the long term effects of dehydration and starvation, of being surrounded by death. Doctors are already talking about disease being an imminent threat.

Israel knows that they aren't just killing Palestinians by carpet bombing them, but blocking food, water, and fuel. They know that and that is what makes them truly evil, they are not defending themselves, they are committing genocide and the death toll will continue to rise for decades to come, ceasefire or not.

I don't know how some people can see the atrocities happening in Gaza and blame the Palestinian people for it. I don't know how you can see multiple generations die in less than a week and think that's right or justified in any way. I have seen so many people post the most depraved, unempathetic statements about people in Gaza. That innocent people somehow deserve to die, deserve to be mocked, to be stamped out. I just don't get it. How can you look at your fellow man suffering and find joy in that? How can you see families torn apart and somehow hate them for simply existing? How hard is it to be a decent person? How hard is it to be empathetic, or hell, just kind? If you are in any way in support or are neutral to Israel's horrible actions, you are either very misinformed and I URGE you to educate yourself, or you are willingly ignoring or encouraging the suffering of the Palestinian people, to which you are the lowest of the low, the sickest of the sick. "Genocide is not okay" should be FUCKING COMMON SENSE. I don't care if this isn't what I usually post. Donate to charities if you can, sign petitions, at the very least DON'T SHUT UP ABOUT THIS.
