Find your nearest food bank or mission, for food
grocery stores with free samples, bakeries + stores with day-old bread
different fast food outlets have cheaper food and will generally let you hang out for a while.

SHELTER
Sleeping at beaches during the day is a good way to avoid suspicion and harassment
sleep with your bag strapped to you, so someone can’t steal it
Some churches offer short term residence
Find your nearest homeless shelter
Look for places that are open to the public
A large dumpster near a wall can often be moved so that flipping up the lids creates an angled shelter to stay dry

Eman is 17 years old, and lives in Ghazzah with her mom. She is only in highschool, however she's unable to finish her year because her school was destroyed by the occupation.
She and her mom were displaced; they now live in a tent with very little to support themselves. Her mother suffers from chronic cardiac conditions, leaving her bedridden at the moment and without proper treatment due to the conditions in Ghazzah. Her mother's health is worsening; since Eman's father was martyred in 2014, she's deeply afraid of losing the only parent she has left.
In order for Eman and her mom to evacuate as well as for Eman to be able to finish highschool , they are trying to raise $40,000 USD. So far, they've only raised $3,292. Their last donation was 22 hours ago.

Hello, my name is Baraa Al-Sharafa, I am 15 years old. We are a family of 6 people, my mother, father and 4 young children, my youngest brother is 8 years old.
Since October 7, 2023, we have been suffering from a war that has destroyed our dreams, homes and agricultural lands.
During this war, my father was injured in the head and eye due to the brutal war, and my little brother, who is 8 years old, was injured in the head due to the bombing.
During this war, we endured many difficulties as we faced hunger and thirst due to the lack of clean water, and we often walk long distances to get one gallon of water.
We also suffered from repeated displacement from one place to another due to the horrific and brutal bombing.
We have been deprived of education and building a future due to the war.
We also face a shortage of medicines and vaccines while diseases are increasing and spreading among us, and my little brothers have not received their vaccinations. Skin diseases have spread among them.
We have also been suffering from the absence of cooking gas for 10 months, so we use wood Plastic is an alternative to gas, which leads to poisoning.
We also suffer from the lack of electricity and the frightening darkness at night, which exposes my brothers to extreme fear because of the sound of gunfire.
In addition, we have not had a fixed income since the beginning of the brutal war..

After 150 days of bombing and destruction, I was forced to leave my homeland and move to Egypt with some of my family members. It was a journey full of challenges, not only because of the difficult circumstances we left behind, but also because of the high costs we paid to escape the hell of war.
In Egypt, we live amidst other difficulties, where the cost of living is high and living away from home is not easy. But despite everything, our hearts are still attached to our loved ones and our family who remained in Gaza, under siege and harsh conditions. We follow the news and we are pained by every new story of destruction.
