a scene where Ahsoka finds out that even after all the time she was gone, maybe she still has a place with the Republic and even if she doesn’t, she still has a friend. She has someone she can rely on and trust and after so long alone it has to feel so nice to know that Rex is still there for her when he had every chance to treat her like just a civilian

to this scene. The scene where Ahsoka starts to feel the small bit of hope she had for her future start to crumble and crash apart. She physically feels Anakin fall; her master, the one that stood by her through countless battles and defended her to the council and the court when no one else would; her brother. The one person that defended her with his life and his honor and the one person she trusted infallibly-gone. And who is the first person she runs to after she just physically felt herself shatter?

Of course she runs to Rex. He’s Rex. He’ll know exactly what to say and what to do and maybe he can contact somebody who can fix this or give her a way to fix this because this can’t be it not after everything that’s happened the war was almost over this can’t be real surely Rex has an answer?

But all she gets is someone who is very much not acting like Rex and suddenly the men who she trusted with her life more times than she could count have her at gunpoint. And now not only does this 17 year old girl have to deal with the loss of her master with no explanation or even a clue as to how it happened, she now is staring down the barrel of a blaster at someone she no doubt considers one of her closest and most trusted friends. And not only does this 17 year old girl manage to keep her head, dodge and deflect every single blaster bolt coming from all around her, and not kill a single clone trooper with the deflected blasts; she manages to escape unscathed and even in the midst of her entire reality crumbling around her, she puts together a plan and a good plan at that to save her friend and get them off the cruiser together, and she freaking does it. If anyone dares to tell me Ahsoka Tano isn’t one of the strongest, most resilient and brilliant characters ever created, I will laugh

Hunter was exhausted after this previous mission as he watched his brothers drink a toast at Cid’s bar. They had managed to rescue Crosshair and Captain Howzer, and Howzer was talking with Captain Rex about what the next step would be. You sat watching them, but your gaze turned to Hunter as Omega tugged on his hand. He was really good with Omega, and watching him these past few cycles stirred something primal in you. 

You and Hunter had gotten together after you and Rex had convinced Anakin that Echo was still alive. After fighting with the Bad Batch you realized just how well you fit in with them. Hunter and the others offered you and Echo to join them and you both had accepted. You had been by Crosshair’s side ever since he was rescued and his chip removed. He had nightmares of the things he had done while under the control of the inhibitor chip. 

Hunter watched as Omega scampered off to where Crosshair sat, and to your surprise he patted the bar stool next to him. You smiled as for the first time in a long time your small family was back together again. The hours ticked by and it wasn’t long before you noticed how tired everyone was. Crosshair was now in the booth with Tech, Echo, Wrecker and Omega. They were all leaning on each other fast asleep.

"Bad Batch" thoughts

Guys...I just realized something.

Crosshair in his Bad Batch armor...

More than likely, we're never going to see this look again!

Think about it:

The last time we saw Crosshair wearing his Bad Batch armor was when they returned to Kamino for Omega in episode one. When they were captured, all their armor was taken to the hangar. However, Crosshair (unwillingly) joined up with the Empire and got his Imperial armor instead.

Now, we don't know what happened to his belongings and his old armor after that. Considering that he was now part of the Empire, I get the feeling Crosshair might not have wanted to keep it. Or, if anything, he would've just left it in the hangar to collect dust. What can probably be agreed on is that it was just left somewhere on Tipoca City...

Now that city is destroyed...gone...

And with Crosshair's Bad Batch armor along with it 😔

Ahsoka Tano is a six foot two carnivorous space ninja with magic powers. She’s a horned, fanged super-spy who’s been fighting in wars from the frontlines since she was a preteen. It’s always a good day to remember that at sixteen Ahsoka Tano decapitated four full grown Mandalorian warriors; that she fought General Grievous, bested Darth Maul in single combat, evaded and sabotaged the Empire for decades, travelled through time, and may or may not be a deity of the Force. That she survived the annihilation of her people and walked away with kindness and compassion in her heart. What I’m getting at is that Ahsoka Tano, both immovable object and unstoppable force, is a gods-damned hurricane, a Valkyrie with two laser swords and a cocky smile, and if she does show up in live action they’d better well appreciate her.

Since the Batch stole Crosshair’s backpack, how much do you wanna bet that we’ll get a scene in season 2 where it’s accidentally knocked over, and the main item that spills out is the photograph of the entire Batch that we saw in episode 1?

Order 66 ended Squad 99...

After counting the board there are 55 tally marks:successful missions.  Add 11 more and that is a total of 66 tallies... 

When the Batch return to their sunken barracks on Kamino for whatever reason there are still only 55 tallies.  We clearly witnessed Wrecker marking the last 11 in the first episode BUT WHATEVER.  

That last mission together is where everything fell apart.  The Jedi Order, the GAR, and The Bad Batch.  Order 66 ended the Jedi Order, as it ended Clone Force 99.

I get that you’re upset (re: men as monoliths in fanfic; working out issues through sex with fem-coded bodies), but I would encourage you to think about how your words look to other writers. Some of these writers are young and may not have a lot of writing experience or life experience. You’re a big blog with a lot of followers. I wonder how your words, which can come across as hurtful, look to newer, inexperienced writers. Let people make mistakes and learn and grow, instead of lashing out. I don’t disagree with you; I think it’s a problem too, but maybe consider a little empathy. You’re not morally superior for your depictions of men in fanfiction, and unfortunately, that’s how many of your posts are coming across lately.

because the same subgroup of people who write men like this also happen to write these men – BROWN MEN – with a lot of racist stereotypes. they’re aggressive. they’re insatiable. they’re animals – feral. the venn diagram of these two groups of writers is very nearly a circle and so are the issues of misogyny and racism. so hmm, no wonder the folks who are okay with instilling their writing with one feel just fine sprinkling in the other.

to echo your own words here, the point of making mistakes is so LEARN AND GROW. and yet time and time again the same fucking issues keep cropping up DESPITE individuals being called out for their mistakes. part of making mistakes is owning up when you make them and listening to folks who offer up solutions on how to do better. but since people would rather be fucking clowns, being nice and kind and coddling doesn’t seem to work.

so you’re worried new and inexperienced writers and those with less “life experience” will see me “being mean” about important issues and i’ll hurt their feelings. oh dear. where is this energy for the young and inexperienced READERS who read harmful shit and think oh yeah, that’s definitely how we should view sex and relationships and men ??? i know some of y’all like to think differently but the fact of the matter is fiction reflects life and vise versa – they both impact one another and when you write men as having little to no emotional depth, that they all want the same thing and have no control over their impulses, you’re truly telling on yourself. just say you don’t see men as people with nuance and individuality, that they’re sex-crazed beasts. just say it out loud. it’ll be easier for all of us.

if you take issue with someone calling out a harmful and important issue because they’re not NICE about it???? i just. fink about it babes. some of y’all would really rather be nice to everyone and not ostracize anyone even when they are being shitty. even when they push racist and misogynistic narratives. y’all won’t reblog hugely important posts about unwhitewashtbb and the racism in star wars bc you’re worried some of your followers won’t agree and get their feelings hurt. it boggles the fucking mind.

and if you’re a newer or inexperienced writer, i HOPE you saw the post anon is referring to – here ya go, if you haven’t, and i hope you see this one, too. and i hope you take a second to think about it all, and if your immediate reaction is to get bothered, think about that too. why does this bother you so much? if the reason is simply because i’m not mincing my words and ~being nice~, perhaps reevaluate your priorities. “you can’t be nice to everyone because being nice to certain people is inherently cruel to others.”

- I’m gonna say something very controversial, but I do not care, if I get cancelled, oh well. But Echo being pale, makes complete sense, and it suits him. I’m not saying this because I hated him when he was tan. I’m saying this because of his history.

- Echo from Season 3, to Season 7 of TCW was stuck in a freezer, starved, tortured, experimented on, neglected, abused, had tubes stuck in him, and had no sunlight whatsoever. With all of that being considered, it would make sense that he’s pale.

- When Echo was revealed, you could see frost on him, you could literally tell he was frozen, and his skin was most likely as hard as rock. The techno union were trying their best to preserve his body. They tortured, starved, froze, and gave him no sunlight. So why would you expect him to come out tan when he was found? WHY??? When something or an animal or some shit is frozen, has their limbs cut and replaced, and tortured, they’re gonna look pale as fuck. This is EXACTLY what happens to Echo.

- When Echo came out of that tube thing. I was expecting him to look like a pale beaten dog, and he looked like a pale beaten dog. But anyways, this is just my opinion, you can disagree, or agree, I don’t mind. It’s just an opinion. And yes, I know whitewashing exists, I’m just saying, for Echo it makes sense. To me at least.
