Have some random Linked Universe headcanons that I have come up with but don’t always follow 100%

• Four paints his nails to prevent him from biting them, he also paints them to       reflect whatever color is most prominent that day and if it’s a pretty equal split he’ll alternate each nail color.

• Wild will either run up stairs 3 at a time, or on all fours. there is no in-between

• Time is only a around 27-29, stress took a toll on his aging, which wouldn’t be that big of a deal if Warriors wasn’t 26 about to be 27 and dreads the day someone mentions his age and he gets labeled old man as well

• Wind doesn’t like alcohol, he thinks it tastes like perfume and just wants to seem more mature in grown up to the others, Time or Warriors will usually switch Wind’s drink for cider or pumpkin juice so he has something to drink.

• While the chain can all sing, they can’t all sing the same types of songs. Twilight can sing lullabies, Wind can do sea shanties, ect

• Twilight can lift and throw each member or the chain at least 6ft, this in includes Time wearing his armor, and the chain has no idea why he’s this strong.

• Magic has different types of scents, so the some members of the chain have scents when they use magic. Hyrule always smells like cinnamon after a battle, Four smells like clover flowers when he shrinks, Twilight smells like coffee and tea leaves after he turns back from his wolf form, Sky just the faintest hint of vanilla from hanging around Sun, and Legend smells like a spice cabinet from all the items he uses

• Hyrule lives in a Hobbit Hole and he’s got a small fairy garden out front( I will stand by this until I die)

• Warriors is used to braiding Artemis’s or Impa’s hair when he was stressed so now he braids Wild’s hair because it’s the only hair long enough for his standards.

• Sky likes to collect stationary things like quills, inks, and seals, but he’s got terrible handwriting so he spends hours writing the perfect letter even if it’s only two paragraphs long.

• When Time was Mask, he had a habit of calling the other commanders “Mom” like when you would call a teacher mom, he even called Wars “Dad” once, and the first time the go to Warriors’s Hyrule Time basically had to bite his tongue as to not slip up, he fails.

• All of the Links have freckles, some only have them on their arms and shoulders, some cover them with make up or aren’t visible due to scarring, and some just don’t care about them and just have them on their faces.

Lu boys amount of scars ranking/headcannons

1) Wild. Obviously from the time Guardians straight up murdered him, but those aren’t all. He has taken a electric arrow to the face s o m a n y t i m e s, not to mention fucking thunderblight, or lighting storms. He has a lot of lighting scars on the other side of his body, though most of them are faded. He also has had bad road rash on his back from his Shield breaking while surfing or a sudden downpour while climbing ending in him just tumbling down mountains. Not even to mention the broken ribs from charging Lynels or hinoxs wielding trees like baseball bats. Surprisingly doesn’t get injured often, but when he does its bad.

2) Hyrule. This kid is being hunted for his BLOOD. He has a FUCK TON OF SCARS. None of them are very big, only due to the fact that Hyrule is constantly healing himself after fights. He looks like a zebra with the sheer amount of lines all over his body. Not a single part of him is spared from this fate. His whole body is crisscrossed with faded scars. Has a couple worse ones from being nicked by a Daria, and getting stabbed by his shadow but hes honestly too fast to get hurt really badly. He just has a lot of them. Has one over his mouth from… A dragon…. He doesn’t really talk about it… Its a really stupid story

3) Legend. He’s not nearly as bad as the other two, but he still has a lot of them. Its really just because hes been a hero the longest. Most of his scars are from small weak enemies he underestimates. Though his biggest scar is a huge sunburn scar he has on his on the back of his shoulders and neck. Turns out being passed out in the sea on a broken piece of plank wood under the beaming sun for hours straight isn’t good for skin. This is technically his ‘worst scar’ but he refuses to count it because he didn’t get it from a enemy, and he hates to mention anything even tangentially related to Koholint. Normally just says its the reason he stopped sailing, and lets people assume he got it from being a sailor. Their not completely wrong

4) Twilight. Twilight has fallen off of a bridge, blown up a bomb shop, and killed a dragon by jumping on it and stabbing it from while riding it. Twilight may be a stable farm boy now, but during his adventure? Almost as bad as Wild. Has a sizable amount of scars from learning how to fight as a wolf, and from bridge related nonsense. He has a respectable amount of scars, but he’s still worlds away from the top 3. Enough to get a nod of acknowledgement from Legend or Hyrule, not enough to get a double take from your average adventurer in Wild’s world.

5) Wind. A very middle of the road amount of scars. He’s small and fast, so is generally able to dodge most everything; but he’s also stupidly reckless and takes any opportunity to do something 'cool’ so he has good stories to tell people. Some times this works, he does something awesome and he has a great story to tell. Other times this ends up with him eating dirt and taking a blade to the chest. He is slowly giving the whole group gray hair with his nonsense

6) Four. Surprisingly not a lot of scars? Green, Red, Blue and Vio always looked after each other so the larger enemies that would have advantage couldn’t get the drop on them. They are small, fast and work like a well oiled machine. They still have more scars than your average Hylian, and get stares in polite society, they wouldn’t look out of place next to a village guard’s scars. Most of them are faded due to being combined with 3 other body’s.

7) Sky. The only Link that was a graduating Knight before their adventure. (Warriors was a trainee, and Wild doesn’t remember his training.) Sky had a bit of a head start in fighting skill and it shows from the general lack of marks on his skin. He was already well prepared for his adventure in the sword fighting department. He only has about four real scars. His most prominent scars are the lighting feathers from the final fight with Demise, and a slice taken out of his back by Ghirahim. Sky’s skill with the sword protected him from getting caught off guard from any normal enemy

8) Warriors. Listen, hear me out about this. Warriors has always had a thing about his appearance. I genuinely think this man carries a truly excessive amount potions just to make sure nothing ruins his looks. Any thing that left a scar on him means that it fucked him up so bad he couldn’t do anything to fix it immediately after. It’s not a narcissism thing, its more like the weirdest unhealthy coping mechanism. His looks are one of the few things he feels like he can really control, so when anything happens to his appearance he tries to fix it as quickly as possible. This combined with the fact that his world puts a frankly excessive amount of stock in looks, leaves him constantly worrying about making sure nothing leaves a disfiguring scar. If he didn’t have this compulsion to stop any scars from forming he’d have almost as much as Legend. Simply because of the sheer amount of enemies he fought at any point in time. Aside from the burn in his forearm, which he thinks is a “heroic looking scar’ so it doesn’t bother him that much, his shoulder under his single shoulder armor is majorly fucked up. It still works fine thanks to healing magic, but it looks terrible and its always aching. He hates it so much

9) Time. Just time travel. All of his scars from his first adventure? Gone. All his scars from termina? Got reset after each three day cycle. He only has like two big ones any more. By the time he was on the last 3 day cycle in Termina he distressingly good at defeating everything there, the only thing that managed to leave a mark on him was Majora. His other more prominent scar is from the war of eras, probably from Mask trying to steal the scepter of time from Cia. I could see Mask being incredibly pissed off about her flagrant use of time magic. The disrespect to the goddess of time? Unreal. If time travel didn’t wipe away his scars he’d be tied with Wild for worse scars. Just bite marks, burns, hand marks, rope burn, stab marks, mask marks, slash marks, and did I mention the bite marks? They’re used to be a lot just all over him from re-deads and dead hand, but he had a very prominent one across his face. Frankly hes very happy that time travel took all his scars with it, even if he wasn’t happy to be back. He really doesn’t want to explain claw marks on the sides from transformation masks, or how he barely escaped being eaten alive thank you

Which of the Chain is the most terrifying when angry?

No, it’s not Time. It’s Sky.

Obviously this is my opinion, but regardless, as a fandom, I think we tend to really emphasize Sky’s easygoing, sweet nature (myself included)—and understandably so. He’s adorable. However, I think we seriously forget about how absolutely terrifying he is when angry. Like, do you remember the look on his face when Ghirahim took Zelda?

Honestly, I’m pretty sure the only thing keeping Ghirahim from perishing on the spot was the fact that he was a sword spirit.

Sky’s anger is very different from that of the other boys. Unlike Legend or Warriors, he isn’t provoked very easily—trivial things, such as teasing or even mild bullying, aren’t going to get a rise out of him. Legend’s bark is also worse than his bite, but not so with Sky. It’s actually quite the opposite. He doesn’t yell or rage like Wind, but becomes deadly quiet, to the point where it makes one’s flesh crawl. He doesn’t give the impression of being constantly irritated, like Time, nor does he try to hide his anger, like Wild. He isn’t the type to let it simmer below the surface for a long time, gradually rising until it finally boils over, like Twilight or Four. His anger comes with all the suddenness, swiftness, and intensity of a summer storm, oftentimes without warning, with the potential to destroy anything in its wake—and then will dissipate with the same speed with which it came, as if nothing had happened. Sure, Time or Twilight could easily set a man quaking in his boots, but one glare from Sky when he’s in a fury would send him dissolving into a puddle on the floor and desperately trying to recall what exactly he had written in his will.

Early on in their adventure, operating under the misconception that good-natured, easygoing Sky was incapable of anger, a few of the boys (*cough* Wind, Wild, and Legend *cough*) spent an entire day trying to get a rise out of him. The day ended with Legend getting beaten senseless with the flat of a blade. None of them have spoken of it since, and now live in terror of getting on his nerves (though of course, Sky apologized profusely after he’d cooled off). Time turned a blind eye, so to speak. They had quite literally asked for it.

All of this to say: Sky is just as capable of being a rage-monster as Time or Legend, thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I present: Chapter illustrations for @turtleduckscribbles​ ’s amazing Linked Universe fic, Crimson Ties! It goes deep into Hyrule and his past adventures (and this very adventure too of course haha).
