I've just returned back into the hell known as the Kh fandom, is Sokai canon yet? Are they married? Give me the details

Welcome back! I mean I don’t know how long you’ve been gone, but:

They have shared a paopu

Sora risked his life for Kairi

He went on a suicide mission to bring Kairi back

They hugged very intimately (compare to their KH2 hug that was just as intimate, if more hesitant)

He trusted her to fight by his side for the first time.

They have a joint attack “One Heart” where they hold lots of hands (bonus: interlaced fingers!), each have an angel wing and each feather represents another shared memory of theirs

Chirithy assumed they wanted privacy (which they didn’t deny in the typical “we’re not a couple”-trope fashion)

Both kept looking at each other like the other is their entire world

They technically went on dates for as long as destiny allowed them to

And they held lots and lots and LOTS of hands (Bonus: Interlaced fingers once more!)

Yeah. They’re pretty much married at this point, or else Nomura wouldn’t have given us this:

SoKai Reunion and Hug

I wanted to make a post about this moment as well, because it was so good and so beautiful. 

Okay, so after all that effort, Sora is finally able to bring Kairi back, and this was such a satisfying moment both for him and, on a meta level, the player. We saw all the things Sora went through to reach her, and we played through those things ourselves. So yes, even though we all knew this would happen, the anticipation and buildup was what made it so special:

I can’t get over how happy and excited Sora is to see her:

And then the hug. Sora and Kairi have had a lot of beautiful hugs, but this one might be my new favorite. The setup is perfect: they’re against a starry night sky, perhaps teasing at their (as of right now) star-crossed lovers status, but it’s light enough that you can see them clearly. The dark night is finally coming to an end; Sora has Kairi back, and Xehanort is almost defeated. The visual symbolism alone paints a beautiful picture.

Then take a look at their body language. They both have their arms wrapped around each other. Kairi’s resting her head on Sora’s shoulder, and Sora is tenderly cradling her head:

Watching fireworks with Chirithy:

Helping Chirithy return to Ven:

Which, when you think about it, is one of the most selfless things they can do with their time. Sora is fading away and he at least knows they have limited time left together (and I would imagine Kairi suspects/knows as well), but the first thing they do is help Chirithy make happy memories with them, and then make sure Chirithy reunites with Ven. They’re good, selfless people, through and through, and it shows in everything they do.

You have to wonder why Xion has Black Hair.

For Namine, her blond is a bit understandable, considering a part of her was also influenced by Ven’s presence in Sora’s Heart.

Xion though is born from Sora’s memories of Kairi… and yet she has black hair.

Roxas sees her with black hair almost immediately.

But I think we also need to consider the three people who interacted with her the most, even in KH3 - Roxas, Axel and Saix.

These two are key in understanding why Xion has black hair that seems so out of place for someone who is formed out of memories of Kairi. Because it is these two who actually influence the appearance she takes.

Both Axel and Saix join the org because they were searching for subject X. What more KH3 makes it clear that Saix resented Roxas and Xion for taking Axel away from the task they’d joined the organisation for in the first place, feeling like he’s been replaced as well. Because of this these two do spend a lot of time with Xion in cutscenes.

Now subject X? Everyone seems to be guessing that she is Skuld. One of the defining features of Skuld is, guess what? Her black hair.

So what if in subconsciously expressing that desire to find Subject X, both Axel and Saix partially influenced the form she took?
