thinking about how squid game uses food and characters eating/not eating symbolically. thinking abt how sae byeok barely ate in the feast scene with the final 3 as a way of conveying that she was in pain and dying. how her not eating was a precursor to her death. and following that up by thinking about how gihun hasn't been shown eating at all in season 2 despite the fact that he used to eat a lot in season 1, and has denied any food offered to him in the games...........

ugh I’m stuck between two chapter titles and I can’t find a way to ask for help because it’s the penultimate chapter of the fic and both options are spoilery

I know I keep talking about different fics so here's a list of my ongoing squid game WIPs!

Very fluffy no games/no debt/everyone is alive AU one-shot Jibyeok fic with a lot of pairings featured

Canon-based Ji-yeong one-shot focusing on her POV before and after joining Gi-hun's team, particularly outside the games after the players initially vote to leave, up to and including the events of S1E6

Non-canon serial fic set during a future iteration of the games, featuring a core group of two canon characters (you'll have to wait and see who they are) and two OCs who I am very excited to introduce!! I’m considering simultaneously running a character blog owned by one of the OCs, documenting the events of the story from her own POV

The first has the most progress, and one of the first two will be the first one published as the third is going to take a while and I intend to write most if not all of it before starting to publish. The current plan for that is to release a chapter every week, and have it out before S3 drops!

reblog and in the tags write a reddit “Am I the Asshole” post title but from the perspective of your favorite character(s)

yk how in S1 the front man was like “this is a fair world” and there was this huge emphasis on equality and no competitor having any (overt) advantage

and the only players who had contraband (sae’s knife, mi-nyeo’s cigs and lighter) had to go to great lengths to smuggle them in

did they just stop caring in S2 or was the thought process (from the game staff) that it would make things more interesting

the realisation that dae-ho is going to find out that jung-bae died and then blame himself and it will break that sweet man into pieces :(
