FiVE SiX NIKE KICKS 👟👟👟👟

For an MHA AU I've been toying with, here's Toga as a bat. I've never drawn an anthro bat before so this was a fun challenge!

Since Toga's quirk is copying the appearance of who she ingests the blood of and bats are culturally misunderstood creatures, I figured a bat would be perfect for her design (don't worry, she's cleared of rabies (I think))

James and John meant well. Their reaction reflects a very human response that some Christians have when others reject Jesus or fail to live according to His will. Their anger, offence and judgement came from their passion, love and zeal for Jesus. But, it was misguided. It didn’t reflect the heart and Spirit of Jesus. Instead of grace and patience, they condemned and sought vengeance. Jesus’ rebuke shows that that’s not how He operates. His Spirit is one of love, grace and redemption, and we as Christians are called to reflect that- even to ourselves!

Sometimes we’re like James and John to ourselves as well. When we sin or fall short, it’s easy to condemn ourselves. But Jesus’ response to the Samaritan village’s rejection shows His heart: He didn’t lash out, shame or curse them. Instead, He continued His mission of grace. He still died for them because He loved them.

Jesus doesn’t condemn- why should we? He loves you more in this moment than any one of your loved ones could love you in their entire lifetime. Remember that! 💗💫

I know I’m double-dipping on asks but my last one brought up another question. What time and era does Raiden exist within. At first I assumed modern-ish but I can’t exactly tell. Anyways that’s all thanks!

I was thinking the story would take place maybe in the Edo or Taisho period. I kinda like stories that take place in the past

The next time you have an insecure thought, I pray you pause and remember this verse. I pray you take a moment to really meditate on what it means: Look at yourself with gratitude and awe, knowing you are the result of God’s creativity and expert handiwork. You are a reflection of His wisdom, intentionally set apart through your design for His purpose.

God delights in you, and how He created you. Genesis 1:31 says that when God looked at all He had made, He declared it “very good.” That relates to you too! There’s no part of your design that’s a mistake. No matter what society tries to impose on you, remember that God’s thoughts and ways are so much higher than ours. The wisdom of the world is nothing compared to the infinite wisdom of God. Let that truth sink in and shape how you see yourself.💕

Here comes the bride

I got a question or two, what’s a Yokai? Japanese demons or spirits I assume? And why does he have an issue with foxes, did he get duped by one and holds a grudge? And most importantly, what kind of food does he enjoy most?

Alrightie first question let's gooooo

Okay so yokai in this universe is used to refer to generally non-human creatures, this term kinda varies in regions but it's general regardless, examples are vampires, kitsune, griffins, etc., to yokai in actual Asian lore and anthro animals e.g. dog, cat, mouse and some other species. Yokai are classified either based on biological similarities or how much magical energy they naturally possess, for example kitsune may fall under A or B-tier being quite powerful, while anthros and some goblin species are F-tier, having little to no magic aside from their respective abilities and instincts. Dragons, although not normally classified as yokai are seen as S-tier.

Demons, however, may be either a term for yokai with infamous intentions or literally evil spirits. They first appeared during the rise of the first nogitsune (name TBD for now). A good example can be nekomata and bakeneko, told to have part of a nogitsune's magic, explaining their multiple or big-ahh tails. Demons may either spawn to naturally wreak havoc on mankind or as a result of being possessed/corrupted by an A-tier demon. Their tiers also range from worldwide threats to some vermin you can just splash water on.

Raiden doesn't really have a proper reason for hating on kitsune. Kitsune are much frowned upon during his time and seen more as mischievous and deceitful than friendly by all species, thus he heard a lot of tales about them and was like "Okie, they confirmed evil so it's on sight if I see one". But who knows? Maybe he'll be proven wrong, maybe they are a-holes idk my kitsune main is a wip at the moment so we'll just wait and see

I think he'd like bao buns, but if you guys have other suggestions for what you think his favourite food is, let me know!

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.

The word, impressed, means to feel admiration or respect for something. This verse warns us against admiring, respecting, and following our own wisdom and understanding. Because, relying on our own wisdom is pride.

Pride is more than just arrogance—in Christianity, it’s the excessive belief in our own abilities. It’s the source of most sin. It’s the mindset that says my understanding is better, my way is more reliable, even above God’s. And that’s dangerous. When we place our own wisdom above God’s, we start to disregard His infinite authority. We stop seeking Him, we stop listening, we walk in our own world-given identity and slowly, we distance ourselves from Him. Pride leads to separation from God because it says, I don’t need Him.

"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." (Proverbs 16:18)

Instead, we’re called to fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

Fearing the Lord doesn’t mean being afraid of Him. It’s not a terror. It means having deep reverence, respect, and awe for who He is. It’s recognizing His holiness. It’s humbly acknowledging His power, and His authority. It’s a comprehension of who God is and, in turn, living in a way that honours Him.

And fearing God is where true wisdom begins.

When we humbly acknowledge the glory of the One who created us, we accept that we don’t know it all. That we will never come close to without God.

Fearing God compels us to become dependent on His Word, which is Him and His Truth that leads us to live rightly. This kind of reverence brings humility—it’s a surrender and obedience. Because when we truly understand God’s character, His power, His Word, and His perfect will, we can’t help but follow Him and reject what is not of Him. He is the source of all that is good—because He is good. Everything He creates is good, and everything He calls us to is good. Fearing God allows us to walk in His goodness rather than the evils that seek to destroy us and defy Him.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." (Proverbs 9:10)

I pray that you and I will continue to walk in the perfect grace, mercy, and goodness of our God. May He guide us in His perfect will, leading us to harvest from His Spirit and His Spirit alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
