Pokemon Worldbuilding; The Crown Tundra King & His Knights

In centuries long ago, the Darkest Day raged and ravaged the Galar region, when heros took up sword and shield. Beside Zacian, Zamazenta, and the human heros, was the Fae prince Calyrex. The prince stood beside the heros, healing them as the battle raged. As the battle came close, Calyrex suffered a grievous injury, fleeing to where Eternatus would not follow.

Calyrex was found by the nomadic people of the Samhain Tundra–the lands ravaged by bitter cold, where the snow is all that comes. While their wounds healed, they were witness to the most destructive of the Tundra’s natural forces; the wild horses of Spectrier and Glastrier. With the help of the people, Calyrex obtained the hair from each horse while providing a flower made from their Fae magic. Together, the Reigns of Unity were weaved, allowing for the Fae prince to ride and tame the wild forces. Now with incredible power at their paws, Calyrex sped across the Samhain Tundra, pushing back the neverending snowfall.

The nomadic people were grateful, and dubbed Calyrex the King of the Tundra, giving the lands a new name–the Crown Tundra. In further gratitude, the people took to the mountain peak, where a sacred tree grew, of Fae origin, and built a shrine fit for their King. Each year, a festival was held, each person recreating the Reigns of Unity with common materials, to remember their connection to Calyrex–the unity between people and Pokemon. Alongside, great harvests of carrots for the King and steeds.

As years drew on, Calyrex worked their magic to create guardians for the lands, against the Evil that lurked in the dark. Though a King of the land, they were still a Fae, vulnerable to the Unseelie courts. Thus, created a trio with a unique trait each; a will of iron, a fortitude of stone, a swiftness of wind, birthing the Galarian Justice Trio. No force of the Unseelie would stay long.

Time continued onward, with centuries of bounty. Over the years, traditions slowly faded. And atop the Crown Shrine, unseen in years, the Reigns of Unity broke. Calyrex, alone, retreated into the sacred tree, falling comatose. Without a master, the destructive hearts of Spectrier and Glastrier were set loose. In their flurries, they destroyed 5 human settlements within the Crown Tundra. With the King’s magic cut, the Galarian Justice Trio fell into a state between life and death. Their honorable Fighting Type decaying into a mindless Poison–Cobalion’s iron rusted, Terrakion corroded, and Virizion rotted. Trapped in motionless heaps, aware, as their bodies and minds decomposed.

The deep winter slowly returned over the centuries, until all that is left is the sole town of Freezington.

Upon Calyrex’s return to power, the Galarian Justice Trio are slowly reawakening. All that remains now is a hate, and unyielding urge, to hunt anyone, anything, that carries the Dark Type.

POKEDDEXY DAY 15: PSYCHIC TYPE

i feel like i have to explain this one ww me and a friend created this whole Lore™ where Chingling/Chimecho serve as ringers/miko of Palkia (warm color scheme + round shape) and Bronzor/Bronzong serve as ringers/miko of Dialga (cool color scheme + angular shape), which is why they’re both noise-makers and live in Mt. Coronet.. so here is a Chingling holding the Lustrous Orb in a ceremony for the Lord of Space

anyways i really like Chingling i think its cute and its ring is so pleasant

POKEDDEXY DAY 17: STEEL TYPE

there are not a lot of Steel types to choose from… so i chose Dialga? since i prefer it over Bronzor/Bronzong?? but i ended up drawing Bronzong anyways wwwwww so i guess the answer is yes

might as well talk more about the Lore™ some more (previously talked about here). the duties of a Ringer include performing ceremonies, maintaining shrines/temples, protecting the Lustrous/Adamant Orb and telling oracles (Future Sight). centuries ago they would hold processions for Palkia/Dialga, but with the two Legendaries slowly withdrawing from this realm such traditions eventually faded.

Realized that I never posted the Palkia art I commissioned from @mintlark ! BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT

Frostbite (Glastrier): Gentle, alert to sounds Sun Poison (Spectrier): Impish, somewhat vain

Frostbite is big and intimidating, so rumors came about that he was an aggressive beast that would rampage across the land. In reality, he’s lost most of his eyesight from overusing his ice powers and so reacts strongly to unknown things around him.

Sun Poison’s nocturnal habits have spread rumors that he prefers isolation, but the truth is his trickster nature, selfish personality, and ghostly abilities prevents him from getting close to anyone. The only ones who can stand him are Frostbite and Caly.

Here’s a cute lil headcanon/imagine for Space Jam fans who are mad at the lack of Marvin in the sequel:

Marvin actually wins the game. He puts himself in mortal danger to make the winning move and as a result, he passes out. The other Tunes gather around him and try to wake him up, but to no avail. Bugs is starting his eulogy when Marvin finally wakes up and sleepily asks if they won. The Tunes carry him over them in their joyous crowd and Marvin is blushing and trying to hide his face because he’s not used to so much attention. But in reality he’s just as happy as everyone else to have won the game. He even gets a hug from Lebron James.

I loved your Zip and Cappy headcannons! Could you do some more for Cappy? (he s my favorite side character 👀) and i m curious about what you can come up with for Bluenose or maybe Izzy.

I'm sorry this is so late i've spent like a good week and a half on this-

I'm too lazy to develop blueballs rn so here's cappy and izzy!

I was very excited to write for these two but got a little shakey with izzy as I don't wanna reveal too much on him yet.

CAPPY MY BELOVED

Came from a well off family and is an extremely smart man that went to a prestigious school for a few years, but was very humble from a young age.

From a very young age his fathers health was never steady. One day he would be running around and fixing engines in trucks, cars, boats and jets and the next he'd be in the hospital.

He was technically an only child and that gave him the ability to focus on his studies from a young age which have him a leg up when it came to the coast guard.

Shortly before he went into the USCG his mom started seeing someone and a few months after he was sworn in she gave birth to a little girl named Lola Claire who was nicknamed Lil C bc she looks up to Cappy so much.

She failed to tell him that she was pregnant so this started a fall out between the two.

Atleast once a month, Cappy's now step-father brings Lola to the Coast Guard Base to have coffee and chat with him.

Cappy is an incredible big brother and if he has to go out to sea/another place he always brings lola a gift.

Has been in the Coast Guard for 11 years. Joined when he was 18 and is now 29.

Full name is Charles Clarance Ernald

Born January 1st 1910 making him a Capricorn.

Ran track and field in high school and broke his ankle atleast 3 times each season.

When Johnny Cuba made him run the rocks he shattered his knee cap and cracked the other, that is how he got his nickname cappy

Has snapped at and put Bluenose in his place multiple times.

Is close friends with Lillie and when port is especially slow he will go out and keep her company.

Baby sat baby/Toddler TenCents for a while so he can and will hold that over the young mans head.

Izzy

Is married to a Filipino Portuguese woman who was raised in the Americas.

Served in the army from the time he was 18 to around 23 (1903 to around 1908)

They got married at 18 and had their two kids shortly after.

Has two sons (named Ernist and Joaquin) and and who he loves dearly and his sons. Ernist has two sons and one girl and Joaquin has a fiance.

He raised his two sons around him and his wife's culture and takes pride in his heritage and family's history

Him and his wife are currently thinking about adopting a little girl

Izzy's full name is Inez Jeorge Gomez and his wife's name is Mayala Arora Abaya Gomez (Nicknamed May).

Izzy is a very family oriented man and will do anything to make someone feel welcomed in his house.

He does spend quite a bit of time with the stars and will bring them meals him and his wife have prepped or just have them over for dinners in the summer months.

Cappy/Coast Guard

Food

You wouldn't expect it but Cappy has a really big sweet tooth. He can't always have sweets because he's part of the Coast Guard but when he has the time to get them he will always go straight to the Candy isles.

For real food/meals he's not a picky eater but he really likes fruit, it's close to Candy and there are so many variations of fruit that it's something he loves.

Mangoes and Strawberries are his favorite but he hates it because a certain times of the year it's impossible to get fresh or ripe strawberries or mangoes.

Past relationships

Cappy has never been one to date, he dated two or three girls back in high school.

He was madly in love with the third girl and even proposed to her but she played him and stomped on his heart. He hasn't really dated since then. He's thought about it but he's too scared to do this again.

Childhood

Cappy grew up in a family that struggled with money and his dads health seemed to always be declining (cancer, aneurysms ect). At a young age he had seen his dad almost pass multiple times throughout the years and watched his mother be put through hell.

He once made the promise to his dad that he would carry on and be strong when his dads health plummeted again and a few years later he joined the coast guard.

His parents are both still alive and are doing much better now. (he's around 30 his parents are close to 65) his older siblings and younger sister are all married/engaged and they are all relatively close.

Zip

Food

Zip likes simple things like grinders/subs and such, he's never truly been picky he just likes those!

Past relationships

Zip never got around to dating. Yes girls and even guys every once in a blue moon were all over him and wanted to date him or have one night or be friends with benefits with him but he just couldn't do it. He wanted something real, something that didn't feel fake like plastic and that's what all those people offered.

He's very happy with his life and the little family he is now a part of and hasnt actually put any thought into dating since highschool.

Childhood

Zip grew up in an abusive household. Both his mother and father beat him and when his little brother was born he feared that it would transer onto him so when his little brother turned 3 (zip was 10) they ran away.

Yes there are days where trauma gets the best of him or his brother but Zip is very greatful for his past, he believes it shaped him into who he is today and believes that it's taught him to always look at the bright side of things and to help others that maybe be in the same situation.

His little brother who is now 16 still lives with Zip and the other Z-stacks and is greatful for his big brothers thinking and actions.
