Working on the tablet at my dads place…one more day until super week. 

Hey everyone, its been a while since we had a "Sketch Saturday" due to the preparations for our Kickstarter Project and our appearance at New York Comic Con, so we thought we would make this one a special post.  This Saturday we are jumping back through time to take a look at some of the earliest X-Key artwork. Some of these date back to late 2010 which was pretty much the beginning of Team X's work on the project. For us, it is very interesting to see the ways in which the designs have changed or stayed the same. We hope you enjoy as well.

Hello Everyone! This weeks update brings us a new version of www.highoctanerevolution.com. Hey guys...It's Saturday and we have a new batch of sketches. There has actually been quite a bit between this week and last week. So I thought that this week I would keep it to a single post. I noticed the previous uploads came out a bit light for those who were using mobile phones and certain types of monitors. In light of that, we darkened these for easier viewing.  We will also be replacing the images on the previous post with darker versions. As with the previous post, you can read the notes in the captions. Well, that's all for today, thanks for visiting and check next week for "Rebellion" issue 02.

Hello everyone, This is Jonathan Chatonda from Team X Visual. We are doing something new this week. Welcome to our first "Sketch Saturday". We will be sharing sketches and concept art from Team X Visual's projects The numbers on each sketch correspond to notes that will accompany the blog. You can check the caption to see the notes.

The first order of business this week is to let everyone know that the second issue of Rebellion will be available on our website next Friday, August 29th. I also wanted to share some artwork this week of another character in the X-Key world named Lilith. Lililth’s story entitled Days on Edge follows her through the brutal wastelands of the future. This story will be available on www.highoctanerevolution.com, after Rebellion completes its run. Even though it’s going to be a while, I really enjoy drawing this character and I thought I’d give you all an early sneak peek.

Hello everyone! The first issue of our introduction to X-Key entitled: Rebellion is available for viewing on www.highoctanerevolution.com right now! We had a couple of delays for various reasons, and we would like to thank everyone for their patience. We will be announcing the release date of the next issue fairly soon. Rebellion is a multi-part series so please be sure to check back regularly for future releases. We are truly excited to share this first look into the world of X-Key. In this set of images I wanted to do a little more than just show off X-Key's outfits, I wanted to demonstrate how her gear effects her outward persona. In the images without her jacket and helmet we see her relaxed and carefree. While when we see her with her scarf and jacket we see her ready to explore and take on challenges. With her helmet and rifle we see her equipped for battle with a focused look in her eyes. Expressing both the character's sense of style and personality through their appearance, as well as how these aspects align and conflict is tricky.

X-Key herself is often more calm and relaxed than the vibrant colors she wears would lead you to believe. I even try to capture some element of compassion in her eyes even as I'm trying to establish toughness.

Our first image gives us a view of X-Key and her bike the Type-R custom. The Type-R is her choice mode of transportation and is well equipped for traversal of inhospitable environments of all kinds.

The second image gives us a look at "Vincent Tairs", a character introduced in the upcoming "Rebellion". Behind him we can see the ominous glow from the eyes of the soldiers of "ORDER". ORDER is a special militia of the world government charged with keeping the peace at all costs. 

The last image features the current header for our website (www.highoctanerevolution.com). In it we catch a slight glimpse of the reflection of the wastelands through X-Key's visor. The view of the desolate wasteland and the vibrant reflection of the sun touch at one of the story's central themes. Well, that's all I can say for now.
