Stranger Things, Finally got around to finishing this

The way Lucas is established to have issues with stress and by extension anger in season 1 but in season 2, we quickly see through Max that he is the type of person to switch into caretaker mode as soon as she expresses issues with her own and more easily and quickly calms himself with the goal of cheering her up.

The way Lucas Sinclair is a caretaker by nature in the way that he is more able to take care of himself if he’s taking care of others.

The way it makes me think of his relationship with Will and even potential added tension at Mike’s refusal to let him help on Halloween night and the way Lucas tends to heal himself in the process of healing others but Will tends to set things down to avoid conflict. The back and forth of someone who insists on apologizing, not selfishly so much, but because it actively isn’t a chore and is healing for himself.

Thinking about his parents and the way he goes to them immediately for advice on conflict resolution with Max. Thinking about how he only ever begrudgingly apologized when Max didn’t seem genuinely hurt in their relationship. Thinking about Lucas seeing Max hurting and not letting him in even later when she did ensuring that she knew he how much he wanted to help and how he even regretted not trying harder. Thinking about how he wouldn’t stop brainstorming until he realized the best and most comforting thing he could do for her against Vecna was trust her.

Thinking about Lucas, who we’ve often seen a bit tense with Mike, especially surrounding Will, jumping at the chance to help with something and offer advice and a place to vent.

Thinking about Lucas’ relationship with Dustin, who seems pretty self-sufficient (and sassy) so ends up just as a fairly harmless source of bickering that can help blow off steam.

Thinking about a similar relationship between Lucas and Erica. Thinking about the desperation required for the caretaker who cares for himself by caring for others to call for help from her.

My conspiracy theory is that one of the reasons they fired Stephanie J. Block for the role of Elphaba in 2000 and replaced her with Idina Menzel at the end of the OBC workshops is because SJB played the role SO gay that it was quickly crossing the line of plausible deniability. Like she doesn't seem to be able to help herself.

And thank god she eventually got to play the role on Broadway (arguably one of the best - if not THE best - actresses who ever did), because we finally got to see her get super fucking handsy and stare lovingly into Glinda's eyes inches away from her face for three hours:

Back on my Enchanted!Reddie au cause im sobbing listening to So Close from the movie again.

So in my au, Beverly was the one who was supposed to be Giselle but Prince Edward gets in time and fumbles the plan and falls down the enchanted wishing well himself as shown here:

Thus enchanted movie shenanigans ensue as down on his luck comedian Richie Tozier comes across a Disney Prince who is utterly confused and lost in New York and Richie is surprised he hasn't gotten hit by a car yet

Richie is currently in a relationship with Sandy who comes by to visit Stan and richies apartment and is annoyed to find this Disney Prince hovering over Richie.

Stan tries to help Richie figure out how to get this prince home to wherever he's from but he's got work so he needs to head off and promises to meet with the pair at lunch time:

Meanwhile, Beverly suits up to go save Eddie with the Queens previous advisor who is concerned about his friend and Beverlys chipmunk friend Bill (who was turned into a chipmunk for irritating the Queen too much) and while they're searching and after she tries to join Eddie's singing in the park only yo get wiped out by a bunch of people on bikes, she's helped up by Ben, who is super confused by this Disney Princess trying to sing to find someone and offers to help her find who she's looking for.

Mike has to keep up the pretense of helping the Queen cause she keeps checking in with him.

Reddie is happening, Benverly is happening, Stanpat was already happening, Hanbrough is begrudgingly happening cause their having chaos shenanigans

But soon Beverly and Eddie find each other and must follow their obligations and come back.

Stan decides to take Eddie and Ben to get ready for the ball they were all gonna attend and decides to ask of going back is what he really wants. Eddie says he has to, as the Prince and his mother must be going out of her mind and Stanley wonders outloud whether she may have had something to do with this whole mess and Eddie wants to believe his mother but now is beginning to doubt her now and he knows he wants to stay with Richie.

As well as this Richie, Bev and Patty go together and Beverly begins to wonder whether she's really happy to leave Ben behind in this world to go back because of how much she already cares about him.

Mike and Bill got seperated and when the Queen finds out about the two reuniting she tells them she's coming there to sort this herself now

Her plan is get Eddie to eat the apple herself, cause to her is better if he's at home in eternal sleep and close the portal and leave Beverly trapped here.

Eddie and Beverly take on the dragon together, reddie true loves kiss wakes Eddie in the end, and Eddie gives Ben and Beverly his blessing to take over the kingdom together and keep the portal open in order to visit. Also with the Queen gone, Bill's curse is reversed and he's changed back into a human and Mike and him head back with Benverly and visit along with them.

I'm aware this is rushed idk if anyone would be interested in a written version of this but I was defo gonna maybe do more of this at some point

An AU by @stan-the-cinnamon-roll-uris where after the events of IT, Eddie and Stan come back as a cat and little owl respectively but end up being looked after by the opposite partner, with Patty finding an adorable cat she names Bear and Richie finding an owl drenched in the rain and looking after the little guy (Which will be the partb2 of this I’ll do at some point)

The way they have to resolve this is for Patty and Richie to swap the pets so they’ll turn back

It's a fucking crime that hanbrough is underrated as a ship. It deserves as much love as reddie.

"You want to make everything LGBT" "They are married and with children" "They're enemies/rivals, wth?" "They don't see each other like that" "They are just friends" "They are like brothers/sisters" "They are in love with another person" "X character is straight" "Why can't two girls/two boys be friends?"

Those are only a few examples of comments people has done about shipping two girls/two boys together. And I'm so tired of reading again and again and again the same things. I'm not gonna lie, I tried to hold back my anger towards this topic, but I need to talk about this to feel better.

First, about the "You want to make everything LGBT". No, no. That's not true. We don't want to make everything LGBT. You are the one who wants to make everything straight. In every single show/movie I've watched there is at least one straight couple (most of the times there is more than one). And you know how many LGBT ships are in the same show? Yes? Exactly. Zero. One or two if the show is good enough to be inclusive. So please, stop with the "You want to make everything LGBT" argument because it's stupid and it makes no sense.

Secondly, about the "They are married and with children". So? What does that mean to you? Why does that matter? Last time I checked, divorce existed. And there are straight couples that divorced in real life, so I don't see a problem if the straight couples divorces in the show/movie. Is it a big deal in reality? No. Or you just don't like the "breaking up because falling in love with someone of the same sex" thing? Huh?

In third place, the "They're enemies/rivals". Ever heard about the enemies/rivals to lovers trope? And about the redemption/corruption arc? Because those are ways a ship like that can happen. And last time I checked, people don't care about the "enemy/rival" thing if the ship is straight. No one cared about the "enemies to lovers" in books like Shadow and Bone, Folk of the Air, Shatter Me or others. So that only matters if the ship is LGBT or what?

"They don't see each other like that". Well. You always saw your lover as your lover? Or first it was your rival, your friend, or someone who wasn't even in your inner circle? You saw them and you inmediatly became lovers or what? Because two characters can be rivals, friends, or people who don't know each other at first and then learn to love each other. Just. Exactly. Like. A. Straight. Couple. So, again, this is a dumb argument.

"They are just friends". Just like I said in the previous point, a boy/boy or girl/girl friendship can turn into love just like a boy/girl friendship can.

"They are like brothers/sisters". Let me ask you a question. They canonically said "I see you as a sister/as a brother"? Because if they didn't, you're just asuming things. You're just assuming they see each other as sisters/brothers because you don't bear them seeing each other romantically.

"They are in love with another person". Agaaaain. Were you always in love with one person? Did you marry the first person you loved or what? Or you liked/loved people until you found the person you actually wanted to be by your side forever? And just as you can fall in love with someone, you can stop loving them. So once again, this argument makes no sense.

"X character is straight". Well. I myself thought I was straight. My best female friend thought she was straight herself. My two best male friends thought they were straight themselves. And I ended up being pansexual, my best female friend turned out to be bisexual, and my two best male friends turned out to be bisexual/gay. Being married to a woman being a man or being married to a man being a woman doesn't mean they're straight. They could realize they are not straight but bisexual. Or pansexual. Or ace. Or whatever you want. But it's not something that cannot change. It's not something written in stone.

"Why can't two girls/two boys be friends?". And why a girl and a boy can't be just friends? Because almost every show has a main straight canon couple. Westallen, Olicity (The Flash, Arrow), Charles/Moira, Peter/MJ (Marvel), Darklina (Shadow and Bone), Stydia, Scallison (Teen Wolf), Deckerstar (Lucifer TV), Hinny (Harry Potter), Mileven (Stranger Things), Anidala, Obitine (Star Wars), Leorai, Apriltello (TMNT 2012)... And I could continue. And it is always the main couple. The main couple is always a girl and a boy. So I don't understand why can't you see that the ones that can't be just friends aren't two boys or two girls. The ones that always have to be romantically involved are a boy and a girl.

If your boyfriend is so scared of abandonment and vulnerability that he is willing to make you openly weep and let you believe that you hate yourself, leave his ass Jesus Christ. His priorities should not be that shit, I don't care how scared he is of you leaving him, that fear has become selfish.

I'd much prefer he just be in the closet.

That first one is the boyfriend who would rather hurt you now than be hurt later so he feels like he's at least in control. That is hurt or be hurt. Improvement in the end is great, but that's how you write a reformed antagonist, not a flawed protagonist.

Mike being able to say I love you but refusing because HE doesn't want to get hurt is much worse than if he can't say it but tries his best to work around it for her to feel loved.

Selfishly withholding and giving all you can but it's not enough are two VERY different things.

We know only one of those two is consistent to his character. But people would rather claim he would do something like that say his behavior is both in character and queer. They would rather make their fave their most hated than have their fave be queer. I wish I never knew that.
