More notes on these headcannons under the cut

Hype = Oldest of 3 (he has sisters), older cousin of Boom, Hype is used to being left in charge and has become quite good at mediating in a group. However being put in charge of 2-3 people growing up is rarely a walk in the park. Thankfully he’s got enough optimism to keep him going until the adults can take charge again. By the time he himself has reached adulthood, he’s still got some mom friend energy when he’s interacting with his bandmates.

Trickee = child #5 in a family of 10 kids. He has never known peace or quiet, and thus has become a very loud and chaotic young adult. He both has no concept of privacy and values personal space deeply. Sometimes his trouble-making tendencies make him look attention-seeking. If you ask him though, sometimes, when you gotta compete with 9 other kids, you just need to yell to be heard.

Branch = you know his deal. Family baby, his estranged sibs baby him, and low-key he hates it (poor sap 😅) “The Rules Don’t Apply to Him” BUT HE’LL FOLLOW THEM ANYWAY because SAFETY FIRST

Ablaze = no family to speak of let alone siblings. He has never known the struggle of fighting over leftovers or keeping people tf out of your room. He and Trickee are roomies though (Trickee moved out as soon as he could lmao), so he gets a front row seat to Trickee’s sibling culture every now and then. (Low-key, they look pretty fun to him)

Boom = only child to a single dad. Was born asexually and his dad never felt the desire to have another kid after him. Boom doesn’t mind too much though since he’s pretty involved with his cousins. That’s kinda like having siblings… except he doesn’t have to share his stuff with them :) So he’s winning :))

Kismet Facts!

In order of oldest to youngest band member.

Ablaze

Four years older than Branch.

- Part Rock Troll. - Anger issues through the roof - He learns how to manage his anger later in life but when he's a kid it's bright and boiling and constant and it makes him feel alienated and unwelcome and scared. - Branch is the one who helps him realize that everyone gets angry, even if it isn't explosively like Ablaze, but Branch himself can relate to feeling like he's nothing more than a ball of rage. - He has a lot of energy and can really be the epicenter of a party. - Ablaze is one of the first candidates to take an exhausted or wasted Troll home from a party because not only will he keep them safe but he's strong enough to carry them home if they pass out. - He lives with his parents and his grandpa, he lost his grandma to Trollstice but he never knew her. Sometimes he feels bad that he doesn't mourn her like the rest of his family. - He thinks Hype is annoying at first and he isn't quiet about it. After he spends a bit more time with the glitter troll, though, he finds that Hype is actually a kind-hearted soul who's eager to offer an ear and apologizes through gritted teeth about his behavior. The two of them are incredibly close after that. - He's not good with trickier emotions but Kismet knows that when he does sit down to talk about things or assure them, even if it's with a scowl on his face, that he's being sincere.

Trickee

Three years older than Branch

- Painfully optimistic but not nearly as bad as Poppy. - Trickee can be a little ignorant to how terrible the world is sometimes but it's not by lack of exposure. He grew up around his Aunt and Uncle going at each other's throats and to him conflict is just a normal part of life. Sometimes it takes a little extra push to get him to realize that fighting or insults aren't normal. - He lives with his Mom, Aunt, Uncle, and baby cousin. He gets overlooked fairly often thanks to the infant in the house but he doesn't mind too much, he uses the freedom to explore the village and spend time with Branch. - His mother hates Branch, she thinks he's a skid mark on the bright image of the village. She doesn't know that he's Trickee's best friend. - After his initial confrontation with Creek to help Branch Trickee's made it a goal in his life to help people who can't see to help themselves. He gets into a lot of fights but he hasn't lost one yet. He keeps a tally of how many times he's had to pleasure of punching Creek. - Trickee is very in-tune with his emotions but he's not really eager to feel the more negative ones. He'll go desperately out of his way to try and cheer himself up and it's a good tell for the others that he's not in a good headspace. - He constantly trips over boundaries but he's very apologetic when he realizes. - He doesn't know what happened to his Dad. His mom says that he died during Trollstice but Trickee thinks she sounds too angry with a dead man for that to be true.

Hype

Three years older than Branch

- ADHD Nightmare - Hype struggles a lot with executive dysfunction. He's a very energetic and organized person so when he knows he has to get things done but he just can't he spirals. - Kismet do their best to help. When Hype just can't do something they'll start for him. If Hype needs to organize his room Kismet will be there with some tubs to start the process and make it a game between friends and it usually helps a lot. - He's really loud and he's constantly moving but he's one of the sweetest trolls you could ever meet. He's always happy to listen and he'll be a shoulder to cry on for anyone that needs it. - He's ridiculously smart. When he's eventually allowed into Branch's bunker he's the only person who ever recognized his organization system. - Hype lives with his parents and his siblings. He has an older sister and a younger brother and while they aren't the closest they do love each other. His parents are a little overbearing and don't really understand how his brain works but they try. - He has stupidly overreactive tear ducts. It does not take much to make him cry, happy tears, excited tears, angry tears, sad tears. Kismet will tease him about it sometimes and he'll glare daggers at them while they laugh.

Boom

Two years older than Branch

- Gay but not a stereotype. Your typical gay wouldn't be able to clock him if he didn't lean into the aesthetic as he gets older via rainbow hair and gay earring. - He's a bit of an airhead sometimes but he's astonishingly emotionally intelligent. He's the best at reading the rest of Kismet and he'll always be the first person to pull one of the other members aside to make sure that they're okay. - He's a great listener, to the point where you won't even realize that he's doing it. He'll say just the right thing to get you talking about whatever's bothering you and then by the time your done letting it all out he'll just be there with a soft smile and gentle assurances. - He wishes he was smarter. He's not stupid but sometimes he misses the mark and his dad has always made fun of him for it. He can tell that his dad doesn't mean to be malicious but the jokes hurt sometimes and it's made him a little insecure about his intelligence. He's jealous of Branch and Hype sometimes, they're both so smart, but that only makes him feel worse because it's not their fault. - Life of the party. Boom is the kind of troll that'll bring the good alcohol and end the night drunk on the nearest table, screaming the lyrics at the top of his lungs and shining like the sun under the spotlights. - He wished he wasn't gay when he was a kid. Not because people were mean about it or because it was wrong but because it made him different in a way that he wasn't really comfortable with when he was younger. The more time he spent with Kismet the more he realized that differences made people better and made them easier to love and so he leaned into what made him stand out. - He lost his mom during the Great Bergen Escape. He and his dad assume that she's long dead but losing her has only brought them closer.

Branch

Twenty-four as of Band Together (Twenty-two in the first Trolls).

- Getting close to people again terrifies him. Everyone he's ever loved have left him, willingly and otherwise, so meeting people and caring about them shakes him to his core. - He tries really hard to keep the rest of Kismet away. He snaps and he threatens and he scowls but they all keep coming back. They come back because he treats their wounds when they're hurt, he listens when they're angry. These people have entered his life and shown him kindness and support that felt so foreign to him now and he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he left them alone to hurt. - Hype is the only person Branch will ask for advice on his inventions and projects. He's seen how brilliant Hype is and he can respect it. - It takes him a long time to let them into the bunker for any longer than ten minutes at a maximum. They're only allowed in for patch jobs for a while and they're never allowed pasted the first room. It's only after he finishes the kitchen and the living room that he even begins to let them look around the space and even then it makes his skin crawl. - Eventually Branch makes them their own space. He hates having them in his bunker but he's come to enjoy spending time with them so he does something about that. He finds a big space under some tree roots not too far away from his bunker and he transforms it into a large recreational area with couches and games and even a small kitchen and bathroom. That space is where they end up forming Kismet.

Branch to John Dory: Do you remember when I was little and we got trapped outside during a storm and couldn’t get back home so we had to stay in a hollowed out tree. I was so scared but you told me we were camping and started telling me these insane stories of adventures we would go on until I fell asleep.

John Dory: No

Branch to Bruce: Do you remember when I was being picked on by Creek and you found out and threatened him to get him to leave me alone.

Bruce: I’m sorry what?

Branch to Clay: What about you? How about the time I was so sick I couldn’t get out of bed for days and you stayed in the room with me the whole time waiting on me hand and foot resulting in you getting sick yourself.

Clay: *Confused*

Branch to Floyd: On the anniversary of the incident I was feeling so down and depressed that I didn’t want to leave my house. You showed up and did a few puzzles with me before telling me random stories from when you and the guys were younger to keep me distracted from my thoughts that day. Remember that?

Floyd: Sorry Branch, I don’t remember that happening.

Branch: Because it never did. The events happened but you four weren’t there for me but these four were. *points to Kismet* Ablaze told me stories when we got stuck in the storm to keep me from being scared. Hype threatened Creek when he was bullying me. Trickee stayed with me when I was sick. Boom stayed with me on the anniversary of the day you four left me. These four are my brothers not by blood but they stayed by my side when I had no one.

Krystal Kismet? Diamond Hype? Idk one of those

In the Feral Branch AU, once Viva (also feral) is living back in the village with everyone, her and Branch force BroZone and Poppy to lay in a giant pile. In which the two lick them clean like a cat

Poppy and Clay are 100% used to it and jokingly whine about it. But John Dory LOVES it and tells Bruce and Floyd (who find it cute and amusing) that if they don't he's going to get them in the middle of the night and they need to support their brother and his girlfriend's sister

It becomes such a regular thing and eventually they find out that Kismet has been also doing it with him this whole time by Branch having glitter in his mouth from when he licked Boom.

and here is Kismet! I've been going back and forth with these guys in design so I love how this one turned out!

Both Ablaze and Trickee are part rock trolls, however Trickee isn't aware of his origins as a rock troll as he is an orphan so he always assumed that he was a pop troll and no one else ever told him otherwise, or rather the older trolls never informed him of what he was.

Hype and Boom are twins, with Boom being the oldest by two minutes. While both are pop trolls, they were basically born within the same egg, something that was thought to be impossible back then. When they did hatch, they were pale- almost albino looking, when they got older, their colors started to show in more and when they hit their teens is when their full colors came in.

Trickee and Branch didn't get along at all when they first met, the two always but heads with each other and would constantly fight which more often than not resulted in physical fights. It took them a long time to get along but when they did they became inseparable. Joint to the hip, they were together all the time.

When the band went their separate ways, Trickee kept in touch with Branch. The others also did the same since they knew how many family issues their band leader suffered, so they kept him Informed.

Wanna present more of the characters I built for the AU so here we go!

Diamond Hype AU: Hype

Hype was the eldest of the 5, essentially stepping into the role of the big brother. He was about 6 years older than branch. When branch initially met the group, it was in a sort of therapy group for children who’d been having a hard time whether it was losing family members or other issues. During this, they discovered all of them had a passion for singing and dancing, so they formed a band called kismet for fun to get their minds off of it. The band ended up gaining a fair bit of popularity, surprisingly.

When branch’s grandmother died and Branch went grey and swore off singing, the band went on “hiatus”. Hype ended up being the sole caretaker of the other 4, despite not being a teen yet. He tried to keep all 4 happy, he’d sing to them, he’d cook their meals, he’d tuck them into bed, he’d do everything possible.

When the first two, Ablaze and Trickee, left about a year after Branch went grey (their departure will be further explained in their own posts), Hype made sure they had everything they needed, packing their bags, and comforted Ablaze before he left. 2 years after that, when Boom left, he did the same, making sure he’d have everything, and despite being sad to see him go, he wished him well and sent him off.

Hype stayed with Branch for several years after this (nearly a decade), despite Branch mostly isolating himself and barely talking to him. He continued to take care of him and try to make him feel better, to no avail. After getting into an argument, Branch tells Hype he doesn’t need anybody, and that he could take care of himself and he doesn’t need Hype worrying over him like a child. Hype asked branch whether he wanted him to stay or if he actually wanted him to leave, and Branch told him he’d be fine on his own and that he didn’t need Hype to take care of him anymore.

Due to this, Hype respected Branch’s wishes, but before leaving, told him that if ever he needed him for any reason whatsoever, to send him a letter and that he’d drop everything and come back to help.

After leaving, Hype sent frequent letters to Branch, whether he ever got a response or not (usually he did not). As the years went, do to the lack of responses, he sent less and less letters, until he only sent one once a year for Branch’s birthday, not wanting to seem too much of a burden to his little brother (found family yippee <3)

In current time, Hype decided he wanted to experience all kinds of music, so he found himself traveling around to all the different types of trolls, and even eventually made his way to Mount Rageous. This would be a terrible mistake on his part, as this is when he is found by Velvet and Veneer and taken captive in the Diamond prison.

Feel free to leave me questions if you have any! This post was specifically mostly for Hype, and this is only for the Diamond!Hype AU, so don’t come at me with all this not being canon 🫶

Kismet Harmony

Part 1, Part 2(You are here!), Part 3,

Alright, here's what I'm thinking about what our 4 boys do once they have to leave Branch behind with promises to be back with BroZone.

Hype is the one to point out they have no idea what John Dory even looks like. Boom says he probably looks like Branch. Trickee says they can just ask other people on the trail.

They talk to both giants and other trolls and every single one seems to either know of John Dory or know someone who does. They each make him out to be some feral mountain man.

“Are we sure we need him?” -Hype

“Yes.” -Trickee

“Then how do we find him?” -Boom

“Maybe if we play BroZone on full volume he’ll appear.” -Ablaze

Ten minutes later, sitting on a hill top, Boom cranks a boom box to full volume and plays ‘Perfect’

“It was a joke.” It works.

Rhonda comes bursting out of the bushes, scaring Kismet, and almost destroys the boom box in her excitement to get to it. John throws the door open, ignoring the 4 trolls who had tackled each other to get out of the way, and and loudly shouts he’s here and who is playing BroZone?

"Wow he does look like Branch."

Gonna work on part 3, and hopefully it'll be a bit longer, if anyone has any ideas/questions just toss them into my inbox and I'll try to get to them.

- Branch is taken for being a part of Kismet, which means Kismet gets the letters and sneak in through the ducts only to find a pissed off Branch stuck in a perfume bottle.

- They make fun of him for about 5 mins before trying to break it/unscrew the top to let him out.

- It quickly becomes clear they can’t get him out, panic starts especially when Branch tells them what Velvet and Veener are using him for, and why they got those letters.

- That makes them panic more.

- Branch mumbles that there is something that can break diamond, it takes Kismet asking 3 times before he finally admits that if they can find his brothers and get them to sing together, there may be a chance, a small, tiny, chance they could do the perfect family harmony and break the diamond.

- Kismet had no idea he had brothers. They have questions.

- Branch tells them that last he heard John Dory was in the Neverglade Trail, but that was 20ish years ago and he doesn’t know if he’s still there.

That’s all I got so far I’m calling this Kismet Harmony just so I can find it easier.

This action will have consequences...

Sabos father did try to take him back in the AU, unfortunately Luffy doesn't like being alone, Nika doesn't like the loss of freedom, and both want their brothers to be happy

I wonder how the Turtles would react to Ronin Mikey.

Personally I would like to think they would initially try to persuade themselves that that’s not their Mikey, their Mikey is different. But all Mikey’s, no matter what dimension, know too well that they would be doing the same thing.

So their brothers turn to their Mikey for some kind of reassurance, but only see the hardened stare straight ahead.

“You are all everything to me.” Is all Mikey says, what every Mikey will say in every dimension. “Without that…I’m not sure what will be left of me.”

I have this encounter especially in mind for 2003 turtles because darker glimpses of Mikey are shown throughout the show. Take SAINW. He’s basically a ghost without his brothers.

Eh, I’m gonna draw this at one point now. You got me thinking too much about the tragedy of Michelangelo’s character as a whole, and what role he plays, and just how important his brothers are to him.

Give us more Mikey content. This turtle has been cast aside for WAY too long.
