who do you thing is Paul closest with in the band and why?

I would lean towards Flake, considering they’ve known each other since they were teenagers. Almost an entire lifetime of friendship. They probably know the outs and ins of each other. While they may not goof around much in public, I’m sure there’s a bond like no other in Rammstein. They grew up in the music world together.

But Schneider is definitely a close second, if not first. Again, they’ve known each other for thirty plus years now, and I can safely say they’re each others best friend. There are countless examples of this. They are constantly out and about together, spending time with each other and their respective families; you can only conclude Paul is spending time with Ulrike and Schneider in Paris, seeing as he posted a video at the same location, at the same time as Ulrike. And I bet that he was the one who took some recent pictures/videos of them, too. Not only that, but of course, Schneider is the one Paul took the most solo pictures of when the Rammstein photo blog was still a thing.

Additionally, they always insist on sitting together! Like… always.

I really adore how much they openly love each other.
