Helluva Boss Striker - Blog Posts

And it is done! I wrote a theory, I bought the merch and now I’ve buckled down and wrote a fanfic on the topic. May this obsession be appeased enough to leave me alone!

May everyone else enjoy my descent into madness.

Ever since season 2 concluded back in December, I’ve been rethinking Brandon Roger’s slip of the tongue about how Blitzø “ran” I.M.P. instead of “runs”. A lot of us were convinced that Mastermind was going to have Blitzø’s business being destroyed along with the building it was being run in. But then Sinsmas aired, and I.M.P. is still going strong.

But then that begs the question, was that earlier statement by Brandon just a slip of the tongue? Or were we given a hint to a future conflict/conclusion that takes place in a later season?

Personally, I think there’s still a chance that Blitzø is going to lose I.M.P. And my obsession with finding lore/future hints in Vivzie’s official merchandise turned a simple passing thought into a freakin full blown obsession that just won’t leave me alone. So of course I’m going to share the insanity.

This Halloween T-shirt’s art is what started it all.

Blitzø is dressed up as an angel, something that anyone from hell would consider as terrifying or monstrous. Perfectly in theme with Halloween while also being ironically hilarious to the audience.

But what if it’s more than that? What if it’s a possible hint about how Helluva Boss will end? What if Blitzø doesn’t lose I.M.P. or willingly retire and pass it on?

Helluva Boss could just as easily end with Blitzø’s death. But that doesn’t mean it’s actually “THE END” the end for Blitzø’s or even Helluva Boss’ story. Because Blitzø could be reincarnated as an angel, just like he’s dressed up as in the Halloween art.

After all, Vivzie is also famous for another show based in hell that focuses on redeeming those condemned to live in hell. And one of those sinners was even redeemed and made it into heaven after sacrificing himself for his loved ones.

This sounds exactly like something Blitzø would do. In fact, he’s already tried to sacrifice himself for his family once already, and I highly doubt he won’t do it again. Especially with Stolas in the picture being as apathetic of his own life as he is.

Now, we know little to nothing about how death affects hellborns, or if they even have souls that can die like a human’s from earth. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be a possibility! After all, ghosts might not exist in the Helluva Boss universe. But reincarnation hasn’t been taken off the table yet! And it would really add an interesting twist in the lore of the Helluva/Hazbin universe. Which would then be the perfect excuse to bring some Helluva Boss characters over into Hazbin Hotel.

Oh, and then there’s the full moon/heaven imagery to consider.

Heaven is the freaking moon in Helluva Boss! And Stolas has already visualized Blitzø as being unreachable in the glow of said moon…

So, maybe there is merit to the idea that Blitzø can be reincarnated into heaven. Thoughts?

S1E5: THE HARVEST MOON

16:00: A ticking clock when Striker escapes after trying to shoot Stolas. There’s a shot of Blitz staring out the window in horror and then of Stolas at the festival.

S1E6: TRUTH SEEKERS

The first ticking clock in the intro screen.

3:32 (and a bit before): There’s a clock in the room Blitz and Moxxie are held in by D.H.O.R.K..

S2E1: THE CIRCUS

21:13: After Stolas says, “We are getting the DIVORCE,” while Stella says “How dare you,” the clock starts ticking.

S2E3: EXES AND OOHS

19:00: When Moxxie stands up to Crim there’s a clock in the background (like OP said)

S2E4: WESTERN ENERGY

2:38: Immediately after Stolas says the iconic “Oh shit, am I in danger right now?” after Striker destroys Stolas's phone, when the camera cuts back to Blitz, there’s a clock ticking in the background

S2E6: OOPS

Oh, there's so much in this episode. This episode is kinda weird because there’s a clock (as in the literary device) in the story (e.g., you have until midnight to sign the forms). So some of the clock imagery in Oops might be due to emphasizing the amount of time Fizz has left.

5:22: There’s a clock in Crim’s office when he’s talking to Striker

6:43: The clock starts ticking when it’s time for Ozzie’s appointment with Stolas. Then, when the camera goes to Stolas, there’s a clock behind him and the clock is ticking in the background. Side note but this is the first time we see him after Western Energy. Blitz go give the sad owl a hug. Anyway, this specific scene gets to me because the clock behind Stolas is so prominent and the ticking is so LOUD.

9:08: During the ransom video, Crim draws a clock that starts ticking and then it hits Stolas in the face…

THAT'S not ominous at all...

16:38: This is the second time we come back to the attorney, Stolas, and Ozzie. Stolas is talking, the clock is ticking in the background, and Ozzie is checking his watch. This might just be part of emphasizing the clock in the episode and less of the OVERALL clock though

I don't have the mental capacity to rewatch The Full Moon or Apology Tour rn. I also may be missing some from other episodes.

What I find interesting is that there's no ticking clock in Truth Seekers other than the intro, or in C.H.E.R.U.B. Every ticking clock noise I've heard has been associated with Striker and Crimson, who, for the record, may still be working together. I think it's a sign that Striker and Crimson are going to make a reappearance. They've got beef with Stolas, Blitz, and M&M.

Soph pointed out that the ticking clock turns up, at the moment Moxxie goes against his dad's wishes.

So I'm now trolling through the other episodes from True Seekers onwards, (cus no start of ep ticking before that), to see if it's in the background elsewhere.

Guessing it'll be when each of them makes an enemy. Because that seems to link to it speeding up.

Striker reserved until September 1.

Striker was someone I had a soft spot for.

Even though he’s kind of a massive douchebag I like his voice, his design and I have some writing ideas on if Striker was ever a good guy.

I doubt he would have a switch up but if he wasn’t a big asshole and dealt through his problems, I think he would be a fun addition to the team!

Also in this AU, where Striker isn’t a dick with issues and is apart of I.M.P, I imagine him living in IMP city in a decent enough apartment but he doesn’t live there all the time, only when he was I.M.P work, otherwise he’s mostly in Wrath, doing work and living there.

Striker

Striker would be the opposite of himself in the show, more stable and self assured, still confident but not in the EXTREME WAY. He’s still cool and composed, sure he has problems but he is aware of it and tries his best to deal with it. He’s also kind in a subtle way as he is still kind of scared to be vulnerable and getting too close to people.

He can be a goofball mostly unknowingly but he can make a good quip.

But his problems don’t define him basically. He has his shit together, he’s more like someone who is along for the ride and then being the emotional rollercoaster and I imagine him being the cool chill one that isn’t always there because he’s doing other things but he’ll pop in and do a job.

He’s chill but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still ruthless…it’s more like waiting for the right moment to strike.

Ars Goetia

He still hates the ARs Goetia but it’s more under the surface and can tolerate working for one and being around them but he really doesn’t want to be there and it’s basically like a ticking time bomb.

Blitzø

He likes Blitzø and Blitzø likes Striker. Professionally and as friends but…maybe there’s more? Mostly on Blitzø’s side of things.

They have this dynamic with each other of just bullying Moxxie, where Blitzø would say something stupid, Moxxie would fight it and say it’s stupid while Striker would say it’s genius and it drive Moxxie up the wall while Blitzø and him laugh away. It is of course professional, they work well together on killing the target and have fun while doing it, they both have respect each other. Striker respects Blitzø for starting his own business, while Blitzø respects Striker for just showing up, being there and seeing the guy as a friend…which can make things complicated.

I imagine Blitzø being drunk out of his mind, showing up at Striker’s door and just…SOBBING. Saying incoherently shit while Striker just stands there like “am I getting a raise?” But as a good pal and co-worker he plops Blitzø on his couch while he makes breakfast. (Yes, he cooks. MY POST MY RULES.)

When Blitzø wakes up, Striker immediately puts up boundaries where yes, he cares about Blitzø and is willing to be friends but wants to keep things professional while also suggesting Blitzø deal with his issues as in the middle of the night he pissed on the couch or something crazy like that. So awkward at first, they end up just being good friends with nothing bad happening…

Millie

It’s very much a sister dynamic, like at first he’s all charming like he was in his debut (of course without the bodily harm) but then he and Millie just end up being the semi chill ones as Blitzø is shouting his head off at Moxxie who is near a panic attack, their just good friends who bond over being from Wrath and every now and then spar with each other and it would be a close tie but someone most likely have to intervene as they might actually kill each other.

Moxxie

He treats Moxxie like a little brother, someone to poke fun at and make him insecure a bit but will immediately give advice to him when asked for it and will always have his back, he won’t admit it to Moxxie but he is kind of protective of the guy since he sees Moxxie as less capable then Millie and Blitzø, but he IS IMMEDIATELY proven wrong, Moxxie is capable of things Striker isn’t and he is heavily impressed by that and Moxxie teaches him very important things, like how cool musicals are! (Epic the Musical reference I bet Striker would sing Thunder Bringer under his breath if bored). Just guys being dudes.

Loona

Loona doesn’t like him and Striker doesn’t get the whole daughter thing with the whole Hellhounds being lower thing but he just lets her be and is chill with her, he still believes in some kind of hierarchy which will take him awhile to dismantle that mindset especially with him slipping up and calling her “hellhound” instead of Loona, Loona puts him his place which he learns from to just call her Loona and respect her, which he’s doing and she can now bare being around him.

Wally Wackford

Listen. I ship both Striker and Wally Wackford and I don’t get ENOUGH CONTENT OF THOSE TWO. I am so UPSET THAT THEY REMOVED THAT DELETED SCENE. Just to summarize, there was a scene where Wally was “having the vapours” after Striker sang his song in Harvest Moon and I was so upset that they removed that because 1, more ship content and 2…Idk it would be funny if two of my favourite characters were gay for each other.

I have the head cannon that Striker is ace or at least demisexual and I love the idea that Wally Wackford would come into the office like he did before to sell a product or give something to the I.M.P crew like a delivery, while Blitzø is having some banter with the M&Ms or Loona I imagine Wally Wackford trying to talk to Striker or just give him a free something, gift gifting is how Wally shows his love and Striker is just…confused by the action.

I would love if each time they saw each other Wally would give Striker something and Striker would just have it on him, like if he was given a treat he would eat it or given something unbeatable he would just look at it with curiosity, like a background romance. I don’t want it to be a whole thing just lowkey as Striker isn’t sure about relationships but who can say no to Wally Wackford? Well a lot of people but he worked his way into Striker’s heart.

Work & Life

I imagine him only being in Imp city for work with I.M.P otherwise he’s wondering around Wrath doing other work…I have a lot more ideas like his backstory I have in mind but I feel like I should save that for another post.

I just love Striker. It would be cool if this was possible but from what I can see…NAH.
