Myth is loss of self.
I mean "Sasha the waves forgotten, they are part of the sea" they've forgotton they are part of the sea, they have forgotton a part of themself or in other words lost it. "And the stranger was happy because he knew who he was, and the choirmaster was happy because she knew who she was." And again they know who they are implying that there was a time when they didn't, implying they forgot, implying that they lost themselves. My final point is that when brownly wrote the stories of saint sasha causing the island to become a tourist atttraction, all the people and traditions left. Saint Sasha lost itself.
