Please, if you are a self-publishing author an indie author, learn the basics of book formatting.
Please.
The standards are in place for a reason. Margins are the size they are so that your thumb can rest comfortably on the sides of the book without blocking any text, and so you can read the text along the middle without tilting the book back and forth to see around the bend. Bleeds are so your margins don't get cut down too much when the text block is trimmed, you need them even if you don't have images in your book. Spaces between paragraphs are an internet convention and do not belong in books unless you are indicating a scene break.
Please. These rules aren't there to be mean. They are there for FUNCTIONALITY.

This is an idea that had been mulling in my head, imagining that Cybertronian scars, being welded, are inherently a very beautiful thing.
Because difference in heat intensity and welding patterns create something entirely and beautifully unique with each scar, none are ever so alike between different bots or cons.
LIKE!!! LOOK AT ALL OF THESE????
they all are so unique them, and maybe they even weld the scar in a way to expand it into some beautiful pattern, spiral, so that it's pain is remembered but redefined entirely.

If you enjoy my posts and can afford it, I would greatly appreciate it if you donated to my new ko-fi page! Each of these posts represents multiple hours of unpaid labor. I love writing for this blog, but I’m also an underpaid 20-something trying to stay afloat. I’ve made this master post of every essay I’ve written for this blog as a way to show my appreciation in advance of any support. If you donate, to further show my gratitude and appreciation, I’ll take requests for essay topics in the ‘messages of support.’
If you can’t afford to donate via ko-fi, another great way to show your support is simply by reblogging posts that you find useful and helping my blog reach new writers.
Thanks so much!
(a general guide, dedicated to anon)
For the purposes of this description I’m going to use the word Words to indicate whatever the character is saying and the word Attribution to refer to the dialogue tag (the bit where you write ‘she said’). Further details and actual examples behind the cut.

1a. quotation that is a question or an exclamation followed by speaker
“Words?” attribution.
“Words!” attribution.
The only difference from the above is changing the comma to a question mark or exclamation point.
