I’ve been cursed with a vivid memory. I remember everything. Mistakes I’ve made, people who hurt me, that girl in the 4th grade who told me we would get married at 28, all the criticism I’ve gotten, the bad things my friends say about people when they’re not around, the text message I accidentally read when I looked over your shoulder last night, and everything in-between. A vivid memory is unforgiving. The world can be a hard place to navigate when you’re constantly being reminded about all of the things that didn’t go right, or trying to smile at all of your critics. Sometimes I just want to shut down and close myself off, and take a break from pretending. Acting like I don’t remember what happened yesterday, or last year, or when I was 8 becomes exhausting.
Don’t forget, that it’s remembrance day.
Take a moment to stop what your doing.
And thank those before us for their sacrifices.
For sacrificing their lives, their hopes and dreams to save their home. Our home.
Now let us return the favour, let us make everyday better for now on. For not just us, but for them as well.

80 years ago, thousands of forced laborers in my city were liberated by american forces. I made this drawing for a memorial my school held today to remember their suffering and keep their stories alive within all of us. I tried to symbolize their hopes and the things that kept them alive with the flowers still blooming in a terrible environment. We can't change the past but we can prevent fascism from rising again to honor the lives taken and dreams buried by Nazi Germany
How hard is it to become an austronaut? I want to start to studie astrophysics and I don't know if I'll ever get any kind of job. Do you have any tips for people like me?
Astrophysics is a perfect field for pursuing any work at NASA! A degree in a STEM field is a requirement of becoming an astronaut, but other than that there are many possibilities. One of the best things about the astronaut office is its diversity. We are scientists, engineers, military pilots, flight test engineers, medical doctors, etc. etc. My biggest tip is to ensure you are pursuing what it is you are passionate about as that’s the only way to truly become exceptional at what you are doing, and most importantly, to be happy doing it. Passion, hard work, and dedication will get you there. Good luck!
