like. It's my personal favorite hc that yami became less violent and stopped initiating shadow games on purpose BECAUSE yugi showed him true kindness. this absolute sweetheart of a character unconsciously convinced this sadistic retrobutionist to stop killing people and I think that's beautiful

RIP Kazuki Takahashi, you were possibly the motivating factor to me learning how to write in first grade. Almost everyday after a point that year we had to write a story (or write about what we dreamed) and mine was pretty much always a yu gi oh fanfic because it was the coolest thing I knew of.

I'm not super into puppyshipping but for those who are, you think Seto and Joey ever bond over how shitty their dads are?
Like, just one day Joey mentions his dad's issues and Kaiba's just responds by mentioning something about Gozaburo in return. Or maybe it's vice versa and Joey doesn't pry since he's picked up most of the pieces after the whole Noah arc.
