Sketched some characters/scenes from the play “Sherlock Holmes: Der Fall Moriarty” (The Case Moriarty) that I got to watch live today on my way home from there, Toby was a balloon dog, it was brilliant😭
I just found out that Spock and Sherlock Holmes share a birthday today 🧍🧍
!BBC SHERLOCK SPOILERS!
(can you hide images on this site in case of spoilers? In this case it‘s a bit too vague to be seriously concerning I think but still🧍♂️)
This finale is absolutely crazy
Hello everyone, I am having to prepare to write a speech for my literature class concerning the quality of movie adaptations of novels. So I wanted to ask: Do you guys have any adapted scenes that you found remarkable in some way? Preferably a good one, but bad examples are welcome too of course🫡
Maybe a scene from Arthur Conan Doyle‘s canon that often gets left out but you find important? Or a scene that you thought a certain adaptation absolutely nailed or really just butchered? I am specifically referring to specific scenes here and *not* to overall series’ or movies. Please do tell me about what you find remarkable in relation to the original novels, I would really appreciate any help with this as I’d started to look for examples a bit late so I only have today and tomorrow to gather them🧍♂️
This doesn’t have to concern Sherlock Holmes, it can also be about Harry Potter, etc., anything really, I just used that as an example since I plan on using Holmes as a reference/example for my thesis anyway.
Fast replies would be much appreciated, as I don’t really have any idea where to even start right now :,)
I'm no elder, but I see it as proof that even androids and humans can't always tell which is which, proving that there's no legitimate difference (except ofc the physical capabilities and such, but even those are hard to notice if you don't know, as we can see with them)
You could put a human and an android in a room and if they're both behaving politely around eachother (and if they can't bring up android related questions), neither of them would know *for sure* whether the other is android or human (also given that the android has deviated and stuff cause if not then ofc that'd be very noticeable)
I think that even though there are of course certain giveaway points that would make it easier to guess which one's which, this case just proves that you don't always know. Even amongst your own kind you can't always recognize everyone as such here, for example because you assumed they weren't; I think this goes to show that whether her daughter was an android or a human didn't matter at all to her, she saw a child in need and decided to take care of her and that fact doesn't change when she finds out Alice is an android either, sure she's surprised but that doesn't make much of a difference in how she sees her
Hi guys :)
I wanted to ask elders of dbh fandom some questions about Kara's storyline, because right now i am watching the let's play and i just got to the moment when they reveal that Alice is an android.
I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DID IT? Like, genuinely, i need someone to explain
When i thought earlier about Kara's storyline, i thought about love. About the unconditional love between android and human, about family love (i guees you can also see it in Markus's line but it s really short). And now it all ruined? Now it just "yeah, android can love an android".
No. I dont like it so much. We already see android love: tracy². They are androids, they love eachother. Isn't it an example?
And yeah, i can think about family love between android and android but stiiilllllll.....
I reaaaallly wanna know what they'll be doing for Mycroft, I'm patiently awaiting his eventual introduction 😭
Can't wait for Sherlock & Co's adaptation of The Greek Interpreter, because the Bitch Fit™️ John's gonna throw when he finds out that Sherlock has a brother will simply be Glorious
Rewatching The Sign Of Three after having listened to Sherlock & Co.'s 10-parter is funny because now I'm recognizing names
Like OHH THAT'S their Sholto! Interesting!
AND JONATHAN SMALL AHHHHHHH
Love these guys, had a 10/10 time drawing them, gonna share the reel I did with these later too
I just got to add Bo Burnham's 1985 to my Connor playlist, because guess whose father figure was born in 1985🥸
I just find it funny how Stamford seemingly did NOT mention to John that Sherlock would know everything about him the moment he’d walk in there. He did not know that he was instantly gonna be able to tell him everything about himself as if he had just finished copy and pasting a Wikipedia article about Watson directly into his verbal drive
Instead of warning him Stamford was just like “Can’t wait to see your reaction, it’s better when you experience it first-hand without spoilers lmao” and decided to let John walk into that room completely unprepared for what he was in for lol
John thought this was gonna be a relatively normal conversation
Do y'all think the early progression of Viktor's sickness could be seen in Jayce's sketches? A bit deeper eyebags, sharper edges on his cheeks, slightly more sunken in expressions, barely even noticeable if you don't know, but visible in hindsight through all these little sketches spread across Jayce's journal, unknowingly documenting the process
