Breadorye - Needs To Get Out More

These are a few months old by now, but here are my postcard and illustrations for the @klancezine2017!  The comic was inspired by my bf and I meeting in person for the first time when he visited months ago; they’re meant to be double page spreads but I have no idea if I did them correctly hahaha.  These were some of the first zine pieces I did so it’s kinda amusing to look back at them.

Some stuff I took forever ago but I don’t post on here often so yeah

So I just had an epiphany

There are so many opportunities for Klance after they finally return to Earth so just buckle your imaginary seatbelt and prepare yourself for the bumpy ride that is this text post.

once they return, the team parts ways to reunite with their families (keith gets an apartment with shiro because brotp and he finally builds that motorcycle)

this lasts for about a month until pidge resorts to forming a group chat and they send a picture of hunk crying face-down on their sofa, and they caption it “this is the third time this week, we need to meet up and help this poor boy”

basically hunk goes through issues because he misses everyone and takes it the hardest out of everyone I think

long story short pidge and shiro arrange a meet-up day where the gang reunites 

lance and keith get so excited to see each other at first that they start to run to each other and then they stop right before they hug each other because they realize oh shit I’m supposed to be annoyed with him still for some reason??

lance cracks a flirty joke and keith scowls because wow so stereotypical

this lasts about an hour until shiro has had enough and he uses his Dad Voice TM to inform the two boys that they are both idiots who deserve each other

they have fun after that, and once the day is over lance wraps his arm around keith and whispers “maybe you’re not so bad after all, Red” in his ear before smirking casually and walking away

this leaves keith with unusually flaming hot cheeks and a lot of suggestive looks from shiro, pidge, and hunk who wiggles his eyebrows up and down

the next day, keith texts lance and asks if he wants to maybe hang out again

and so they have their first coffee shop date which was completely boring and very awkward 

it was filled with a lot of pauses in conversation and coughs to fill the quiet

before they parted lance shoots him a look and says “that was the worst date ever, I know we could do better”

keith smiles for the first time all day and replies with, “and here I was beginning to think you were just horribly dull after all”

they go on many more dates after that, and avoid coffee shops with a passion because no thank you that was boring

most of their dates consist of rock-climbing and going for hikes, but sometimes they just sit and watch movies together and lance cuddles up to keith who is extremely startled but notices it actually feels nice which is even more disturbing than the urge to trace the slight freckles on lance’s nose he hadn’t ever noticed before

just so many possibilities for klance once they come back home and this is just one of them that i thought of

I feel like Lance would be the one to propose but it’d in the worst possible situation.

Like, he doesn’t have a ring or a special night planned, it’s just a sudden thought he has when they’re in the middle of battle.

Keith and Lance have been dating for a while now (a year? Five? Idk, you decide) and one day when the team is separated and Keith and Lance are swarmed by Galra fleets. They’re standing back to back, covering each other.

And Lance just turns around and looks at Keith and all he thinks is

Holy shit I love this boy, I have to marry him.

So he’s trying to tell Keith but hey, these two are in the middle of battle they don’t have time to talk about marriage and a happily ever after.

But then they both manage to find cover. Lance is laying down defence fire before darting back down to where Keith is lying with his sword, trying to contact the others through the damaged comms and Lance just says over the sound of explosions and gun shots

“I want to marry you!”

And Keith is shocked at first, trying to process what his boyfriend just said and Lance repeats himself

“Lets get married!”

before Keith’s all like

“You’re proposing to me NOW?!”

And Lance tries to explain between attacks that he knows they’re at war and it’s the worst time to get married but he also knows that they could lose each other and at any moment and he wants to be able to call him his husband even if it’s just for one day.

And Keith just grabs his hand and runs through enemy lines, taking out Galra soldiers and telling him how much of an idiot he is.

But as they’re running away, Lance feels Keith’s hand tighten around his and he just says “yes”

And at first Lance is confused until Keith just glances back at him

“If we manage to get out of this alive, then yes, I will marry you.”

And Lance gets the biggest smile on his face because he has a fiance

Pidge over the comms: “Did my virgin ears just hear a marriage proposal”

Klance headcanons cause I’m lonely af

Those two love the more kinda simple dates. Like movie theatre dates, then going out for dinner, and just walking around while they hold hands.

Lance has this scarf he stole from Keith and he wears it all the time

Keith: “babe, why do you have to wear that scarf? It seriously doesn’t even go with the outfit your wearing.” Lance: “so what? Let me wear it.” As he sticks his tongue out at him

Keith also got them each kind of matching rings that they wear every single day cause 1. YOI and 2. Cause he thought it was nice

He also got them these two little matching magnets because “even if they ever broke up or if they were far apart, they’d always be able to find each other”

Keith thought it was kinda cheesy but lance is a slut for cheesy stuff

While Keith gets the deep gifts, lance gets Keith stuff like a rainbow knife or a Deadpool key chain cause Keith loves Deadpool

They also compare themselves a lot to other characters they ship

Keith is Deadpool while Lance is Spider-Man. Keith is Yuri while Lance is Victor. Etc.

Lance is a huge hugger but Keith’s kinda the jealous type

Lance: *hugging hunk* Keith: *clearly mad, next to pidge* I’m telling you! He loves everyone except for me

Oh! Keith also loves going to visit Lance’s family even though they kinda do scare him a little bit.

He just isn’t used to having that many people around him, but he loves the energy and hearing lance speak Spanish to his family even if he has no idea what they’re saying

They kind of mess around with Keith a lot and target him. Lance’s sister: “Keith! Okay so if you want to say ‘I’m hungry’ you say ‘Ay papito dámelo’” and Keith of course tries saying it

Lance and everyone laugh at him while Keith is confused and lance tells him it means “daddy give it to me”

Keith blushes really hard but Lance thinks it’s adorable and Keith knows he’s loved in the household. They just like to have their harmless fun

Keith also loves taking care of Lance’s nieces and nephews.

He’ll gladly shower then or feed them whenever it’s needed because there’s always so much going around when they visit Lance’s family

Honestly, it makes him think about how he’d love to have children with Lance someday

Lance has thought about it too while he saw Keith singing his niece to sleep
