Netflix/HBO please?
I need more from The Sea Beast. There's got to be other kingdoms that have monster hunters, you want me to believe that this has been going on for hundreds of years and one speech was all they needed. No, I need a TV show or a sequel. I want more of Maisie, she was honestly the best main character I've seen in a long time. Is it possible I love her because she's Black? Um yes..
Speaking of which, They did the Black Characters of this movie so Well!! The hair, the white palms. It was honestly so nice to see. Sarah and Maisie were so much fun to watch.
I want to know what happened to the King and Queen, did they have any children? What's going to happen to the kingdom? What about Jacob's crewmates and captain crow? The world is to massive for this to be the end.
What about solo hunters, that don't fight monsters on a ship but try to do it on their own. Is that incredibly stupid? Yes. But people are stupid like that.
I love the found family trope and I want to more Jacob, Maisie and Blue.
Where's paramount plus? I feel like they'd pick this up in a heart beat.
-------SPOILERS------
[Cause Idk how to do the cut thing yet lol]
I have a few questions
What was that manta beast at the beginning of the film? Was it ever hunted down or is it still out there?
What is the whole Hunter Code? I know we get some bits and pieces if it, but holy cow I wasn't expecting "Kill a crew member who's being a coward" to be on there, especially when there's no exceptions to kids.
What's going to happen to Crow?
He's quite literally lost everything. What is he going to do now? I don't think he went back to the crew and was like, "Yeah I tried to kill a child and my own adopted son and did some black market dealing but that was like, 10 minutes ago!" And everyone was fine with it.
So that Batterbie? Batterby? However you spell it. Is she like a sea witch or something?
Like HTTYD, will there be a follow up movie/show? Cause it sure does feel like it to me.
Currently hyperfixating on found family sea monster movie with handsome man. No one can stop me.
I love httyd, fish edition
Please watch The Sea Beast
The Sea Beast is full of women characters, none that are reduced to be "the woman" pirate/sailor, the only woman in the gang (smurfette) or romantic tropes.
Normally these type of stories are composed of entirely male ensembles, but just look at this group shot where you can see how diverse the characters are. They all look different and unique, from design to voice acting.
Even small roles like the lady driving the carriage - these minor characters that are always male, or the person serving drinks being a man (yes I noticed it people who made this movie!! I see what you did there).
Great movie, can't wait to watch it again today
“Aye. They were heroes. But you can be a hero and still be wrong.”

Maisie Brumble Fluff Headcanons
You become the sudden unexpected new mother for precious Maisie 🥺
♡Maisie straight up plots you and Jacob together. She sees the way he looks at you and when she confronts him he panics and denies it. She straight up asks you if you love Jacob which makes you a flustered mess. Gears start turning and suddenly she's taking every opportunity to push you two together
♡This eventually works and you just absolutely adore her. You see yourself in her and want her to have the life she deserves. Love and happiness. You take to asking parents in villages about raising kids and what they need. Also finding books for her to read and study with, a pirate needs an education!
♡She calls you mom for the first time when you help her in a hammock. Humming softly while you read and stroked her head.
"Goodnight my love."
She's so sleepy she doesn't even think as she says,
"Night mum."
You stay so still immediately feeling tears and stare at her with all the love in the world.
♡You ask Sarah for aid in finding things for her hair. Jacob even handmakes combs for her and tries to watch what Sarah does. He's not good at it and curses his naturally perfect low maintenance hair. With weeks of effort he figures it out and figures out how to properly braid it. And to even do some cuter looks. Nothing is better than her rushing up to either of you with a drawing she made of a new hairstyle idea excitedly. Or when she sees a beautiful woman with natural hair and points at her wanting to look like that
♡When she called Jacob dad the first time you were holding her hand walking to a market and she loudly said she wanted to find a new book with Dad in it. He chokes up and needs to take a moment
♡You take to calling her Maisie Wavey like the sea and like her hair. She thinks its funny
♡When you go to Gruelstone to get any of the things she left and say a proper goodbye she thinks you're leaving her there. You tell her to pack and she starts to cry. You'd never seen Maisie cry before and quickly hold out your arms. She runs into them sobbing hard and reaches for Jacob who quickly kisses both your heads. "We'll never leave you Maisie."

Watch it.
It's not a choice./j
#ThisIsARec Put it on your watchlist and then watch it the first chance you get. It’s a sweet simple, beautifully animated family pirate sea monster found family adventure fable. An original story, that isn’t a sequel and honestly, deserved a big advertised movie run, that smashed box office records. Unfortunately because it *isn’t* in a known franchise, or based on a popular book series, or even a video game….But a *gasp!* orginal tale from one of the creators of Moana and Big Hero 6 (plus that pannini is still on yall) it did it’s perfunctory preview run, which I hope gets an Oscar nod and now, it’s on Netflix. Look at them: LOOK.
Now go watch this sweet gem and get your calm and positive feels on for two hours. It’s so good I almost forgot to mention the beautifully animated inclusive casting… with actual DARK SKINNED women and a little girl… not light-skinned or biracial as is typical.
When I was watching the movie I legit thought
"Hey this guy kinda reminds me of Silver."
I don’t know how but they are somehow related
Whenever I see two stars together I will now think they are hugging
final performance owfhdjkglfd
Will do
Me and my mutuals rebloging the same post
I think there’s something so inherently human about the reaction to Techno’s death. We cried, we sat in disbelief, and then we created. There’s so much art already out there, barely 24 hours after the announcement, celebrating everything he did for us and telling him to rest easy, saying so long in our own little way be that drawing or writing stupid little posts like this one. And supporting each other. Telling other people in the fandom that it’s okay, their grief is valid, we’ll get through this hand in loveable hand. We’re collectively mourning and in a sad little way I think that’s beautiful. That 12 million people around the world can mourn the same man, in millions of different ways from millions of different places, because of how much he mattered. I think that’s what mourning is. People coming together to say goodbye, to say rest easy and so long and I hope god did hesitate and the universe said I love you in as many different ways as we know to articulate.
I remember the part in the stream where Phil realized it was impossible to get the crown right. Everyone was laughing in chat and some said that Techno would've been laughing at the fact.
Phil is an incredible person, this was exactly what everyone needed tonight. 60k people all mourning someone incredible together. Building a massive monument fit for a king. It’s raining, bittersweet music is playing, we’re joking and remembering, and it’s just. Perfect
Thank you Philza. Thank you Technoblade
I swear Baymax is awesome-
Baymax in the new Baymax! show buying pads for a girl who got her first period and getting help from people, including a trans man.
Some people are really mad about this, when he is literally a health care robot interested in people's physical and emotional needs.
When I tell you I cackled at this-
getting redesigned in Sweet Pete's machine but it looks like a magical girl transformation
• Despite the fact that they seemingly have smooth skin, its actually just soft smooth fur.
"Thats the cutest fucking thing I've seen"
Everyone shut it, I jus’ like me some dad Gengar fluff with pastel star baby he adopted.
