3/4 - maria's wing
the biggest house. please ignore the floor lights, i wanted the purple ambiance for her room.
also a nursery in case... (and to fill space)
2/4 - georgiy's wing yes he has a little easel, and not a TV. not a TV at all
1/4 - exterior
here's the crucible by the by!
so believe it or not i had a ridiculous hard time with this one. like more than the lump. i redid the floorplans so many times. and then i had to use my imagination to fill this gigantic mansions (since in the game we see only the first floor), and i'm not used to have to furnish large rooms. but anyways i think it's kind of an acceptable result. i don't want to ever think about this lot ever again
did it hurt? when you tried to recreate the cathedral from pathologic ?
(yes.)
" why can't a heterosexual guy tell a heterosexual guy that he thinks his booty is fly?"
i did not had to remake this lot 3 times what are you talking about hahaha
here it goes!
so after a few modifications to the facade, i went and tried to be as accurate as i could to the insane floorplan of this house (the rule is : a room can never be a simple square haha).
as i want sims to be living here i took the liberty to add a kitchen and two bathrooms, as well as things for them to do apart from waiting for someone to come to their house to talk to, (like the chess board, the piano). Also a vanity and doll in capella's room, and an extra extra empty room as a future nursery π
now why is there the same blue tapestry on the walls everywhere? same thing in the game, when they don't know what to put on the walls of this house, they put this blue/purple curtain. it is a defensive way to say that yes i was lazy BUT it was game accurate haha.
also yeah yeah the lady on altar for the dead mother has a dark hair and victoria is supposed to be blond, but... i have more paintings with dark-haired women what can i say
π π π
you're the coolest ! thanks you!
Invisible Electro Dance Sphere Recolor
Some parts couldn't be recolored and there will still be special effects, but this can give you a less bulky look for the machine. It's got a fun sci-fi look and you can add decor near it. A round rug looks really nice under this but you'll need to place the rug first and then put the dance sphere on top of it
yeah i saw the pfish's clone, and you're right it can works with deco. anyways thanks you very much for jumping to the rescue and proposing right away to do a recolor, that's super kind of you!
does anyone know of a replacement or object similar to the dance sphere from nightlife, that is a little less scifi and a little more fantasy/medieval ? thanks in advance!
aaaaah, i'm suffering. boolprop constrainFloorElevation is such a bitch to get a hold of. anyways, continuing on the pathologic inspired neighborhood, here's The Lump. it's not furnished yet, but i wanted to share the structure because it took me so long hahaha.
so, i know i've put here and there pictures of some builds and sims (not including my creepy pathologic inspired neighborhood) and not really explaining it the name of this place is undonia. at first it began as a kind of midnight challenge, largely inspired by the one by @keoni-chan and now it's been five years and six generations. this island is much more colorful, kind of neon grunge i guess, with aliens, witches and werewolves. anyways, here is the founder's house, based on what remains of edith finch, because i liked the idea of a house growing as the family grew.
why buy an antisemitic game and put money in the pocket of a transphobic author, when you can play a bunch of gay and trans wizards on sims 2 ?
rouuuugh days are to come for me this week-end and the following week (intense work and mental health being a particulary vicious bitch this past mounth), so i came back to undonia for a sense of peace
here's fiyero, at the loup-barou, avoiding his pirate husband, his emo kid, and his responsabilities.
not me reproducing the rose garden orphanage of rule of rose based on wiki screenshots and playthroughs at 2 AM.
yes because my town is overcome by sickness, an orphanage seems logical, but there's none in pathologic. so i was like, oh why not reproduce the most traumatizing orphanage that i know of?
sorry btw i'm real shit a taking good screenshots
*cries in simlish*
well this factory sure has more living areas than factory areas laul. in the game it's supposed to be a meat packaged factory, but hey let's say that the big containers makes ground beef (as a vegetarian bitch that's how i'm gonna imagine it works.
i feel a little more justified because it's supposed to be based on the Harupex's lair, which, while being located in the factory, only show living spaces. i'm gonna put deco neighborhood surrending the area, since the factory does have multiple buildings. Or build them myself. Depends on how lazy i feel.
anyways it is a meat factory and definitely not a drug money laundering business
challenge : building a """""factory"""" when you've never been in one and you have no idea what they do and how they operate
Cemetary.
not super satisfied not gonna lie, except for the mausoleum, but hey, first ever build shared on simblr so i'm kind of proud of me, because there are so many talented folks on simblr that it can be intimidating.
there is a lot of curved trees in the original cemetary but as beautiful as the ones i'm using are, i feel they're not the right fit. also i need to download a sky that suit the ambiance i'm looking for
and yeah as the plague already started, there are cadavers not yet buried.
i wanted a change of pace of my main neighborhood Undonia (5 years of playing and 6 generations of weird sims that i love) and i played the og pathologic. i am the most awful player and just can't stay alive in this game, but i was very inspired by the ambiance and aesthetic of the game.
so i made a brand new download folder, a creepy playlist, and i'm finally beginning to build a weird russian-inspired isolated town in a dry steppe-like mountain map. i'm terrible at making realistic towns but i will try, and well i'll try to use this simblr and show my progress and characters.
also, since the game include a plague, i'll perhaps will use it to make, i don't know like a survival sickness challenge? if that exist. if not i'll take inspiration of the awesome zombie apocalypse hood by @ozneedle
so yeah, i know i have like 10 people who might see it, but i don't know, it might be funny!
Bara just moved back to her deceased parents's house (i never manage to keep them alive before my sims finish college) and the welcome wagon swiftly arrived to get her mind off of things
"yeah can i call you back? my mom's dying. i know right?!"
Working at the biggest Radio Station in France at the moment. Tonight a free concert was held in solidarity for Ukraine. (Before going any further, really wanted to add that I am ashamed of my country being so quick to open their arms to "good" white europeans refugees fleeing the conflict, but spitting in the face of any other POC seeking asylum for the same reason, and this fuckery is not lost on me. Now back to my story)
Most of the musicians invited were Ukrainians or Russians. Today during rehearsals, I sneaked in to peek a little. On stage, a pianist and a cellist, Dimitri NaΓ―ditch and Vladimir Chevel, both Ukrainians, were warming up on their instruments. Meanwhile in the back, a comical scene of two persons trying and failing to put letters spelling "Peace in Ukraine" was happening (for some reason, the letters would not stand still, especially the P who was always on the verge of falling down). But as soon as the two musicians started playing, everything stood still. They performed with great emotion a mesmerizing and haunting piece of music. Everyone stopped what they were doing to listen, even the letters remained in place. I had shivers. Everyone had. When I asked the pianist, what was this music, he said with a sad smile "Oh it's kind of an hymn talking about our beautiful city of Kyiv" The song is called Kyiv Mii (My Kyiv) and was composed by Ukrainian composer Igor Shamo. There is originally lyrics put on this piece, talking about the landscape of Kyiv, with the refrain exclaiming "How can I not love you my Kyiv". Although not the hymn of Ukraine, it is the unofficial hymn of Kyiv. Anyways, I did not have the opportunity to attend the two hours concert, seeing as I was working during it, but it was transmitted live on some channels and on Facebook, where I captured this particular piece of music with a logiciel. And well, I wanted to share it for anyone who would want to hear it, because it was just too beautiful to keep it to myself.
Thinking about anyone anywhere in the world who long to return home but can't because of war. I wish I could held you in my arms the way this music held me in its arms. As of right now, being a powerless nobody in France, that's the only thing I felt I could do. Have a great night
