Because the rigid heddle loom rolls up the cloth on the front bar, you can’t see everything I’ve woven, so this diagram is the best way to demonstrate how increasingly unhinged this weaving is becoming.
Doing insane shit with string today
Second panel of fabric. Next step involves getting out my sewing machine so I’ve been avoiding it and fucking about with others projects instead.
First stage in a multi-step project. Hand-weaving fabric which I will then use to sew the body and limbs of a marionette doll.

Ecce Homo
18x24, acrylic paint on cardboard, 2024
This painting, one of my figure studies, my comic book "Act Well Your Part" and my two zines, "Slap Your Cheeks For Color" and "Step Out Into Your Short Shorts," will be on display and available for purchase at "Slip Gallery.
Opening reception is March 8th, 6-9pm, and a closing reception will be held on March 30th, 7-9pm.
I rarely reblog my own posts unless there's a specific update, but that means I'm also not very good at promoting where you can actually purchase my art!
You can get three digital (PDF) versions of my comics, "Queer Code," "Emet," and "Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight Days," and two SECRET EXTRA COMICS here: LINK
(The secret extra comics are the "R. J. Hill: Therapist" comics and the "Naruto: The Last King, The Last Priest" comic.)
"Queer Code," "Emet," and "Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight Days" are available as individual PDFs.
"Act Well Your Part" and "Emet" are available in print.
I have a limited number of my risograph illustration collections "Slap Your Cheeks for Color" and "Step Out Into Your Short Shorts."
Currently, I don't sell prints of my paintings because -- in all honestly -- there's been little demand for them, even when they were available through a print on demand website. If enough people express serious interest in prints, I'd consider trying again in the future.
I'm also thinking of creating color covers for print versions of "Queer Code" and "Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight Days," but that's kind of a back-burner idea at the moment.
If you are 18+ and make, purchase, or enjoy artwork with nudity (especially depictions of "non-normative" bodies) or sexual activity, I encourage you to join this list.
SESTA/FOSTA and the restrictions of payment processors are the primary reasons that places like Tumblr, Instagram, Patreon, Squarespace, Gumroad and Etsy (with varying ways to get around the rules) will not sell products or even host images of nudity or sexual acts.
Since I started selling my own artwork online, almost 20 years ago, the number of sites where artists can post and sell anything that merely has a NIPPLE visible has been drastically reduced. If you're aware of the disparity in censorship on sites/apps like tumblr, insta, and tiktok -- all of which have documented trends of censoring images of visibly queer, fat, and/or disabled bodies, regardless of sexual content -- then you can understand how these additional limitations further restrict the arena for creative works by marginalized communities. And the ways you can directly, ethically support adult content creators/porn stars/sex workers.
Patreon, Squarespace, Gumroad. What do all these online spaces have in common? A monopolizing payment processor. My hand slipped and I contacted the ACLU, the FSC, and the MA Bar Association for legal assistance. If you’ve been fucked over by draconian nsfw bans please join my Mastercard Injury Mailing List.

You may have noticed that parts of this painting are done in different styles/with different techniques. This hand is painted similarly to a “grisaille,” base shadows painted with color built up in thin layers of glaze.
My first time-lapse using an actual tripod set-up. I’ll continue to document progress on this painting as I prepare it for a GALLERY SHOW IN MARCH!!
If you’re ever wondering why I’m slow to post art, it’s because I have a full time job and a repetitive stress injury that is triggered by my job and basically every form of art that I make.
These are two in-progress paintings I’ve been working on for awhile now, “Ecce Homo” and “St. Agatha (left).”

I’m considering this done. Just needs a coat of varnish.
I feel this is close to done. Just needs some more work on the hair and some highlights.
Did painting today and yesterday; pausing for now because my arm and shoulder are hurting.
I’ve finished moving apartments and my repetitive stress injury has improved enough that I can actually do some painting.
Get three digital (PDF) versions of my comics, "Queer Code," "Emet," and "Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight Days," and two SECRET EXTRA COMICS.
(If you want to know what the secret extra comics are, see here)
Queer Code: An exploration/rant about "queer coding" in horror film and canon queers in pop culture; includes a recommendation guide to 20+ of my favorite horror films.
Emet: A short story about a woman and a Golem
Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight Days: Five comix on life and learning after seven hundred and seventy-eight days on testosterone.
This bundle costs less than what it would have cost to buy all five of these comics separately!
I’ve sewn the two panels together and, as you can see, there is a bit of a discrepancy in the length of the right hand panel!
My next step is to attempt hemming the ends on the sewing machine and then trimming them down to an even length.
A hallway rug, made with yarn from old t-shirts. It’s roughly 8ft long and took about a day to make. I’ve decided it’s too narrow, so I’m gonna make a second and then sew them together down the middle.
just needs some varnish and then I can do a high-res scan!

Well. I have now learned this particular matte medium is too opaque to be used undiluted. Unsure if I’ll continue on this, leave it and come back, or leave it entirely.

First, just a heads-up your Ask link is broken, looks like the domain is repeated twice in the URL. Second, while I understand about you taking your work down, I'm glad I could buy Therapist R.J. Hill while it was up, that I could express how much I liked the comic through financial support.
Thanks for letting me know about the broken link! I think I’ve fixed it.
And thank you for buying a copy of the comic while it was available.
