Loki using his powers to try and trick you after returning to Asgard.

It was difficult to keep track of anything that Loki was doing. Sometimes he’d warn you before he left, other times he’d disappear without notice. Every once in a while he’d be brought back in chains; under arrest for some crime or another. At first it was worrying but after a time you grew used to it.

He’d been gone for a little under a week. You assumed he was up to no good - that’s usually why he wouldn’t tell you he was leaving. You’d learned not to wait around for him and went about your business as usual.

You were reading when one of the servants from the royal palace approached.

“y/n, the King has requested an audience with you.”

“Is that right?”

There was a certain twinkle in the servant’s eye that gave the game away. Loki couldn’t conceal himself from you very well.

“Yes. Please, follow me.”

You wanted to play along, however your grin alerted Loki that his ploy had been compromised.

“May I ask what you find so amusing, y/n?”

“I think you know the answer to that.”

“Did you miss me terribly?” Loki removed his disguise, greeting you with a smirk.

Worst thing ever in the whole world is when a thunderstorm is forecasted and then it doesn’t storm. literally so rude I was excited for this all day.

to all the writers on here who do reader insert fics, if you are giving the reader a physical description, it is NOT a reader insert fic, it’s an oc. do not tag your fics with reader inserts if you give them a skin tone, eye color, hair color, etc. IT’S AN OC NOT A READER INSERT. doing things like this makes the reader feel uncomfortable while moving forward in your work. there are plenty of, and easy, ways you can avoid these mistakes. let your reader feel included by not giving them any physical description. this is really easy to do and i’ve been doing it ever since i started writing reader insert fics. the beauty of reader inserts are based on the fact that anyone can feel included and comfortable while reading. if you feel like adding physical features, completely change the piece and write it with an original character. i cannot stress this enough.

as a writer on this platform, my job is to make my audience feel included, comfortable and safe. let that be your priority if you are doing any reader insert fics or drabbles. thank you for reading. i love you all very much. thank you for your support. be safe and treat people with kindness. — angelina.
