There's a certain phenomenon with balatro where when youtube people play, the the first episode is always "so, ______ reccomended the game to me, and i've been seeing it everywhere, so i thought i'd give it a shot" and then the next episode is "i have put 100 hours into this game off-camera, i've gotten my whole neighborhood into the game, and i plan on purchasing the game multiple more times so i can play it even more.

This 100%. A friend reccomended cavetown to me a while back, and thanks to them, my mental health has improved a lot. I love their music, and he will never cease to be probably my favorite music artist possibly ever.

Robbie appreciation post!

Not much can make the shadows feel a bit more bearable. Not much can make being queer and nonbinary in an isolated community less scary.

When we found Robbie's music years ago, we were in a dark place. We were losing friends, losing family, losing our identity, and struggling with mental health and gender. The day we heard This is Home we broke.

Cavetown is just a kid like us. Barely older than Ash. He probably is navigating life and witnessing the scares of it just as much as any of his fans. That's what makes him so relatable and his music so powerful. He's human.

I just absolutely adore the guy and all he does. His music is something I strongly connect to. We all do. His humor and compassion are unmatched.

Anyways, go listen to Cavetown and Cavetown Offline.

-----

Boys will be bugs, empty bed, 16/04/16 (Jack's song), guilty, this is home, frog, and devil town are my favorites.

For Offline I love dysphoric v2, candle, untitled, it's okay, and hug all ur friends.

We've had two major US politicians livestream on twitch within the past two weeks. (Bernie sanders appearing on pokimaine's stream, and tim walz playing crazy taxi). All i'm saying is that we've never before been closer to the Obama gaming chanel than this point in time.

Friendly reminder/lifehack

If you order pizza, (especially from dominos), do it on a day that isn't a weekend, and not around dinnertime. Picture the toy aisle full of buzz lightyears, where each buzz is saying "Friday night Pizza night!" If each of those buzz lightyears represent an average pizza order, (two pizzas + a random side item), the wait time will be measured in the hours, as opposed to ordering a pizza at 3pm on a tuesday, which will take significantly less time.

I see people often talking about how fast food workers deserve more respect, and should be seen as fellow humans, but people often forget that notion as soon as their food is on the line. As someone who used to work for dominos (and left on good terms with them), I have seen it way too often where people call to ask about their food, and why it's taking us so long, despite the fact that they ordered right in the busiest part of the week, which they see as our fault. (also, unless you ordered delivery, try to avoid calling to ask about your food, it just makes it take longer to get back to making it)

One last thing: dominos runs coupons often, usually with some pretty banger deals, but they often result in some pretty long wait times. If you place a timed order a few days after the coupon ends, you pay using the deal, but get the food on a less busy day.
