Kamek usually just says that he's in love and that they'll understand when they're older. But in reality, he has no idea why his son keeps trying to marry someone who doesn't love him. He can see the emotional toll, Bowser takes every time Peach escapes. So when Jr. comes to him talking about a nice man in green that gave him candy and really cool bandaids and did he mention he was nice and how he wished Princess mom was that nice and how he wouldn't mind if dad married the man in green. Kamek being Kamek already knows who Jr. is talking about and can't help but agree with Jr. (even if it's a bad idea)
