The Gift

Summary: Out of nowhere, your husband receives a gift from you.

A/N: This came to me last night after thinking of what type of mail people receive. Here's one I hope you enjoy.

The Owl Postal Service in Hogwarts was, if not, consistent in their delivery time.

This time being, the hour after breakfast started for everyone to ensure that no disruptions, except important missives, were to be received during class hours.

Your tawny barn owl sailed through the Great Hall, over the heads of students and staff, and landed on the High Table in front of its’ intended recipient, your husband, their dark and grumpy Potions Professor, Severus Snape.

It was uncommon for the Potions’ Professor to receive anything but Potions’ ingredients, his usual Potions’ Journal subscription, or official mail either from the Ministry or the Order so the package, a neatly wrapped gift in royal green paper, silver ribbon, and a tag attached, accompanied by a letter in your distinct handwriting was bound to attract attention.

“Is there a special occasion?” the Headmaster’s eyes twinkled upon the sight of the young Potions’ Master quite confused,

“No,” Severus answered, “Not that I know of,”

His thoughts a mile a minute through his brain, slowly, internally panicking. His eyes locked at the present in front of him. Did he forget YOUR birthday? God no, you’d thoroughly celebrated every time the day came around. Did he forget his birthday? Did he forget an anniversary? Did he forget a muggle holiday that you loved to celebrate? No, so what was this doing here?

“It’s wrapped beautifully,” Minerva remarked, from across Dumbledore, “Will you open it?”

He does. First, the letter.

“Sev,” your voice echoed through his brain, “I know you’re probably trying to think of any reason why I would send a gift to you on a normal day.”

You know him far too well.

“Just stop. Do I need a reason to send a gift to the one I love when I feel like it?” a soft smile slowly formed on his lips as he read that line, his colleagues’ interest piqued at the change, “It’s from our holiday and other events, I hope you like it. I know I did. I love you, I’ll see you when I get home,”

Your letter was swiftly tucked in his robes after then taking the package from your owl. Severus proffered a treat for them, and they happily ate before it perched itself on his shoulder. His hands gently tugged on the silver to unwrap the gift.

His initials and yours, on the cover of a leather-bound enchanted photo album.

On the first page of your story, the title page, if the album was a muggle document, was a candid photo from your most recent vacation. Your arms wrapped around his. His figure was behind yours in a hug. Your faces were engulfed in laughter after a guide failed to land a joke against him.

“Oh,” Severus whispered, Your gift was amazing. How did he get so lucky to deserve you?

“That’s a rare sight,” Filius said, by his right, “Severus smiling and speechless,”

“She’s beautiful, Severus,” Albus complimented,

“We look forward to meeting her,” Minerva said,

Their words fell on deaf ears.

Beneath the photo album, in a frame, there was another photo of the both of you from afar. This moment was captured by a charmed camera that you didn’t even know was there until after it happened. In the wilds of Wizarding Britain, on your first date, underneath the stars, he’d kissed the back of your hand, admitted his affections, and asked if he could kiss you. To which you shyly agreed, and received the sweetest kiss you’d ever experienced.

This he could place on his desk. The others were not up for public consumption.

“If you’ll excuse me, Professors, I must send a response,”

Mercury Poisoning + General HC’s

Explanation: So I accidentally did general Trender headcanons instead of Trender x Fashion designer reader headcanons (Yes I’m that ditzy) so I’m just gonna post these here and pretend I meant to XD 

Warnings: Mercury poisoning, family’s reaction to horrible illness, mouth sores, anxiety, hand/head tremors, memories, insomnia (All the aforementioned triggers stop being an issue after you see this ~*~ signal. After that, its just random general HC’s ^^)

HE HAS HAD MERCURY POISONING BEFORE! Oh boy, I’ve wanted to talk about this in depth for forever but I can never get my thoughts together. The day I manage it, watch out.

Basically, though, Trender is in love with fashion (Obviously). The whole industry, but mostly prac- he loves to design, and create, and be amongst other people who design, and create. So he’s never been a big-wig store CEO or anything. He has always and will always be a worker (Even if he opened up a small boutique or even chain of boutiques. He’d be the manager that’s out with everyone else, on the floor, as often as possible.) and he’s worked far more than his fair share of factories.

Including those factories that used lots of mercury in their felt making. He contracted a terrible case of the ‘mad hatters’ disease through this (Ironically, he literally caught his case during a serious hat phase he was enjoying. Yes, Trender was literally the Mad Hatter.) and since his literal monster of an immune system was about to fight off the disease for a long time (During which time he watched friends and colleagues alike fall to the illness, in total confusion and grief), when he finally started suffering from the symptoms, they were bad. Like, he had one of the worst cases ever.

Splender and Slender took care of him during this time. Offender too, whenever he was in town (And he did visit a lot more often than before) but it’s never been in him to devote himself to others. When he was there, though, he didn’t leave Trenders side. Or, at least, the hallway that his room was on.

His symptoms included:

o   Sores in his mouth that caused a permanent metallic taste, muscle pain. Made even worse by his mania- always wanting to move. And do something. Usually sowing, either by hand or with a machine but he would also suffer outbursts where he would really move, and those are what put his muscles in the most pain.

o   Irritability + lack of patience. Splender was totally patient with him and endlessly kind, of course, but this did cause some nasty, horrible fights with Slender. Slender of course new that it was just the sickness but after a certain point his patience wore totally 2D, plus he was hurting from watching Trender be sick like this and stifling those feelings.

o   Introversion and shyness. He would often hide away in his room / cell cuz of course he wasn’t allowed to go places on his own, or at all to extreme lengths and it got to the point that he would only say 2 words if Splender came in (No one else), if they were lucky.

o   So much anxiety. Splender would do all he could to help him get through it but the attacks lasted days. All they could do was standby, keep his space clean, and continue to empty his vomit bucket.

o   Struggle with focusing on anything. He would keep going, of course, because even terribly ill Trender is determined, but it would get messy.

o   Tremors. In his hands (Which made the cuts he always accidentally gets on his fingers even worse), and his head.

o   Memory loss was one that hit Offender the worst.

o   He would also go days without sleeping. And I’m not gonna lie, Slender did resort to hitting him in the head whenever Splender wasn’t around to just make him get sleep (Cuz the insomnia made everything else 10 times worse).

o   His movements were also all over the place. Jerky.

It last years. At least 2-3 decades.

Wow, I did actually get a bit into this. Oh well. Okay moving on from this sadness.

If he were to be represented as a planet, he would be Earth.

If they were to be represented as colours, Trender and Slender both would be grey. Because while their brothers are definitely completely different sides of the spectrum, hot and cold (Splender would never do something evil to anyone else and Offender would never do anything good for anyone but himself), Trender and Slender are different kinds of mixed. Slender leans heavily towards black and Trender leans heavily towards white, but they would both do things that counteract what they try to be.

He really hates when people try to define him. He’s not just the ‘fashion’ brother. He’s so much more; He’s Trender. Stop trying to stick him in a box he just doesn’t fit. It hurts, and its frustrating.

He is a self-sacrificing shit. I mean, at least Splender will keep himself safe in a dangerous situation because knows people need him- it would take Trender exactly 2 seconds to throw himself between a random stranger and a car, or cockily dare someone to shoot him whether he knows for sure that they wont or not if it means he could possibly psych them out or distract them so someone else can escape.

He’s also a, uh *Cough* Icarus-Type. He’s willing to risk the danger if it means he’ll fly. In other words, man is a DAREDEVIL.

He can take a mighty beating. Like, have you ever seen Alfred Pennyworth in Fox’s Gotham? Trender’s fighting style, attitude, and philosophy is exactly like that. He has a really good technique and he’ not afraid to fight, at all, but if he knows someone is stronger then him then he’s not at all afraid of outlasting them, either.

He’s a city boy at heart, but do not get him wrong- he’s a rural man at his roots.

Once, Slender was being his dickface self so Trender went under protest. He said, he would not leave the Slender’s toilet until Slender agreed to apologise to Splender and mean it (And *cough* make them dinner). And since Slender refuses to toilet outside or on any toilet other then his own (how unsanitary), it worked. Slender did try to just go in and do his business whether Trender was there or not but Trender anticipated this and had sat himself, draws down on the toilet, so Slender came in, saw, and immediately left again with a strangled scream.

Offender snickers. “Hey Trender, you remember that time you held Slender’s toilet hostage and then whipped your dick out when you weren’t getting what you wanted from him?” “Offender that’s not what happened, but… yes.” Slender, across the room, shakes himself to be rid of that particular horrifying memory that his dear big brother bestowed upon him. “Mmmeurrrg- “ “And I’d DO IT AGAIN, SO SHUT UP SLENDER.”

Ciel Phantomhive = buying christmas tree decorations. He would get fired for shouting at people, from having bottled up his angry.He would last about ½ weeks at the most.

Sebastian Michaelis = christmas chef. He would quit, Sebastian would not get fired, he’s perfect. He would quit after a week.

Alois Trancy = Being in charge of a christmas bake sales. He would be fired for always shouting at the customores and using fowl language. He would last 4 days.

Claude Faustus = Cleaning up after christmas dinners. He would quit, from just getting tired of everyones bull shit. He would last 2/3 weeks.

Ronald Knox = He would be in charge of being a bar tender at a cheap bar. He would be fired, because he was caught trying to poison one of the annoying customers. He would last 6 days.

Madam Red = Wrapping gifts for charitys. She would be fired, after she started bitching at a person who demanded to have 4 gifts for her 2 kids, even tho you can only have 1 gift per child. She lasted 5 days.

Not Halloween-y but could you write about the slender brothers purring around their s/o for the first time?

 Slender

Just come into his office when he’s in a good mood and start loving on him.

You’re bound to get a purr soon or later if the environment is right.

Some long and loving touches and slow kisses will prompt his purring.

You pause from the sudden static rumble from your boyfriend’s throat.

You’ve never heard it before, but by the way he leans into you, he seems to be enjoying himself.

Slender will lean his head into your side as you massage his temples as a deep, gravelly purr with a whisper of static rumbles from his throat.

You allow him to stay like that for a calming break, before being coaxed on his lap to retrieve even more purrs from your boyfriend.

Offender

As everyone knows, Offender is a very loving person.

He can usually create a short-lived purr on command, but there are times where he surprises himself before falling asleep while cradling his s/o.

It’d have to be a quiet night where Offender can get lost in his thoughts thinking about his s/o, and how much time and love he’s spent with them.

You’ll be shifted awake by a mass of muscle scooting closer to you, along with a gaining purr in volume.

Offender has a loud purr, so you won’t be getting much sleep tonight.

You were aware of his purring since he mentioned it in passing, but you couldn’t imagine it’d keep you awake.

But the lopsided smirk he’s sporting will never spark disgruntlement.

You just hold him closer and leave butterfly kisses along his cheeks in content.

Trender

It will take a while into the relationship for Trender to purr around his s/o.

He doesn’t purr often, and there’s rarely moments long enough for it to be prompted.

Everything has to be perfect to hear his cute raspy purr.

It was a long day at work, and he was dead on his feet from slaving over another ballgown for a rich party for rich people who seemed to all request his clothing at once.

Trender fell into your arms, and didn’t even bother to take his shoes off before hand.

All he knew that night was cuddling up to his s/o’s chest and taking a very long nap in their arms.

There isn’t much else to it besides tracing your touch along his skin and keeping Trender relaxed in your hold for a good nights sleep.

He wouldn’t even know he was purring until his s/o mentioned it the next morning.

Splendor

The first time hearing him purr would be the first time you cuddle..

Splendor purrs easily, and it can surface whenever he’s in close contact with you, whether it be a cuddle or a long hug.

And Splendor is a huge cuddle bug, he’ll hop onto any given chance to snuggle up under a blanket.

And just after a few minutes, Splendor was putty in your arms.

He’s just so peaceful and content and cute, your heart just can’t handle it.

Press a few kisses to his cheeks and he’ll be glowing.

The high-pitched sound surprised you at first, and before you could ask if he was alright, he buried his freckled cheeks into the crook of your neck.

Splendor was content, and even though your heart was racing, you kept still and enjoyed the solitude.

Slender:

He appreciates you more than he could ever express. You help him out in so many ways and keep the mansion's moral up exceedingly high, and it does a lot for all of them. He tries to tell you that you don't have to be so worried over everyone and that you can take breaks and relax too, but when you tell him that it's just something you really love doing with that big happy smile of yours he just can't help but pat you on the head and thank you for it.

Jeff:

Having someone like you around does a lot of good for Jeff's mental state. Being around someone cheerful, kind, and supportive of him helps him to feel much happier and takes a lot of the stress off of his shoulders. You'll always be one of his go to's, especially when he gets off of work because your smile and bubbly attitude can always bring him back into a happy mood after all of the horrible things that he has to do out there.

Tim:

Tim feels spoiled by you, and he loves doing things in return for you as well. You've made their lives much happier and easier, and he can't thank you enough. You've especially done so much for Toby, and Tim is almost amazed at how much Toby has grown as a person since you've been around. Whenever you make lunch for them before work Tim always makes it up to you by making you dinner, just so he can express his thanks.
