Can’t chase everyone at once so go to find the people that are more likely to be in trouble

Searching for them all over the place, worried they left with a bad crowd

Friends you weren’t looking for are now in someone else’s house. And also one of them got bitten by a spider apparently

There are, at this time, only two chapters available though as there are 6 more assigned to be completed I imagine they will be out in short order

Review

The style of writing is fantastic, the narration has a few minor mispronunciations but it’s honestly rather endearing and makes it feel a bit more light. (There is a point where they laugh at it had me giggling along with them)

At times I was tugging at my hair with frustration at bilbos obliviousness which I know will make it all the more worth it when he finally arrives at his destination. The suspense kept me hooked. Every character thus far has been so lovable and felt completely perfect as additions to Tolkiens works, I felt like I was seeing old friends again, like they belonged just as much as the company themselves. Not a single sentence in this story feels out of place. It is a well made path to a finale i am so excited to see.

This fic is a labour of love.

Please tell me i’m not insane

I was listening to The Milk Carton by Madilyn Mei, and I fully realized, this is Sameise Gamgee’s song.

From the entire message of leaving home and being terrified yet enthralled, to the messages about seeing things only heard of in stories and realizing the true intensity of them, and trying your best to stay there for the one you support, and that knowledge that even if you do return home somehow, it will never be the same. Even the lines of “You can still win, just gotta be faster” falls into the reassurance for Frodo. Hell, even the “Something tells me kid never learned to swim, can I do anything when i’m also drowning?” fits Sam’s entire internal conflict SO FUCKING WELL??? I have no idea if this was intentional or if i’m reading WAYYYY too far into this, but please tell me what you all think!!
