Emotions are weird.... (full 5 pages)
tw there's a photo of a bee. bee aware. haha get it get it GET I
just putting this out there, i hate the stigma against carpenter bees.
"but they burrow in wood and ruin your house!" skill issue, my house is already in the trenches (constantly dirty for no reason, no ventilation, the floor is broken in quite a few spots, etc.)
"but they can still bite and sting you!" erm, ackshually π€ males don't have stingers. plus, the females typically aren't aggressive and only sting if absolutely necessary. and also, if they can bite, why do they like to sniff my hair when i go outside and bumble around just like their cousins?

like, come on. these little guys are absolutely adorable. i don't care about the structural integrity of your house, how can you hate these little fellas? i used to be fucking terrified of bees until i learned that the carpenter bees around my house literally just act tough and can't hurt you for shit
- welcome to our native bee garden! over there you can see leafcutter bees slicing leaves to line their nests, and thatβs a carpenter bee hard at work chewing a tunnel for her larvae!
- oh, whatβs that little green one?
- thatβs a swear bee!
- donβt you mean sweat bee?
[Bee]: fuck!

Exciting amount of interest in my bones and such so wanted to share a quick reel from my last market. π₯°
-> I have a market upcoming next month, therefore my activity will be slowing down so I can focus on bulking up my stock. I will still get to asks, active rps, requests, etc, but it might take me a little longer to do so and I won't be online as frequently. I will still be up to chat in Discord (mother_of_demons666) while I work.
Also... curious if anyone would be interested in seeing my work? I do entomology and bone frames/jewelry. A bit of an oddball hobby lol but if there are any fellow dead-thing enthusiasts out there, I'm happy to share some updates and pieces.
how terrifying metamorphosis must be for the caterpillar has no concept of what it is doing, or what a butterfly is, or what will happen to it as it spins itself the cocoon. we r more alike than different
insects ive seen this week
1: long tailed giant ichneumonid wasp
2: imperial moth
3: polyphemus moth
Very different post of mine but recently I made some old teaching specimens into a art piece for my department!
Bug of the day: WEEVIL!!!
This is a weevil appreciation post
What insects should I draw next?
BUG OF THE DAY: SCORPION FLY
suggested by lovely @sugarcoatedcricket
What bug should i draw next? I already have some Oak treehoppers in mind.
This was a bit of a very quick drawing and i didn`t have time to really perfect it, but i just HAD to put some time aside to draw these cool insects.
The wings were a bit of an experiment because i wanted to capture the cool stripes some of these guys have. I kinda like how this turned out but i will have to touch it up a bit if i ever turn it into a sticker
Beetle of the day: HERCULESE BEETLE!
I already have some cool bugs in mind for next drawings. People suggested some sick ass bugs i didn`t even know existed! Definitely will post more if i find time between homework
Bug of the day: STAG BEETLE!
What bug should i do next?

Bug Of The Day: RHINOCEROS BEETLE
Been hyperfixating on insects recently because i`m drawing them for my school project. I've always loved bugs but this just started a whole ass obsession, they bring me so much joy ^^ What beetle should i draw next?
Edit: Only now realized the typo in the name. Will have to fix that if i want to turn it into stickers :/

i love you wasps i love you flies i love you beetles i love you moths i love you non-bee pollinators i love you "uncharismatic" organisms who nonetheless carry our ecosystem on your backs
