Piper Hastings was supposed to be the invisible girl behind the McLaren Instagram account — scheduling posts, writing captions, and making sure Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri didn't roast each other on main. She was not supposed to become the third point in whatever the hell triangle the two of them were drawing around her. It starts small — inside jokes, teasing comments, too-long glances when they think nobody's watching. The whole grid clocks it before she does. The fans start making memes. The group chat won't let it die.

Nothing's happening. But everyone's already watching.

OR Challengers AU but make it McLaren, make it slow burn, and make it the grid's collective problem.

soooo, this is my first fic, the chps are a little short and it takes a little time start getting good. BUT please check it out, its a fun ride i promise!

the hyperfixations just continue to grow, its a problem guys.

Anyone else notice a pattern in the types of fan fics they read throughout the month? I kinda know that my hormones are heightened when I start seeking out a/b/o fics. Then I'm onto dangerous/angsty stories. Then like a week later I'm back to fluff and the cycle starts again.

Probably oversharing but we're all friends here right?

"Are you sure there is no one to contact? Your team?" "You want to get rid of me?" Charles teases. He paints crimson, Max stammers, "No- just, you are a premier league player so-" "You are a football fan, Max," Charles wiggles his eyebrows "and I am coming home with you." The crimson deepens, Max huffs, his face pouty, he looks like an adorable kitten, "I am a Richmond fan." Charles laughs at that, Richmond? No one is a Richmond fan. "Fuck you. Richmond is good." Max's face is tight now, the red bordering on angry. Angry kitten. He purses his lips, suppressing the laughter, "Right." "We'll win this season." Max insists, "We have Sainz too now, so we will." "What?"  Max stares at him, realisation dawning his face, "You don't know." Charles grunts, annoyed, "No. What?" Max turns his phone on, a video of Pep playing on the screen, "We are loaning Carlos Sainz Jr. to AFC Richmond for the new season." Charles feels his heart beat in his ears. Two aces, Charles. The room erupts in noises. "No further questions."

Ok. A little something I want to put out there.

Lestappen has been blowing up for a good while now and I for one am thoroughly enjoying it BUT. But. Let's please keep it and other rpf ships confined to tumblr, ao3 and the like.

They do have wags, almost all drivers do. The ship related content on insta and tiktok are very easy for them to come across, and for someone who is as chronically online as charles (as seen in the insta pfp fiasco) there's no way he's not seeing this stuff.

The thing with tumblr and ao3 is that they have a proper tagging system. Tiktok does not have that (I'm not just talking about TikTok btw), we don't know how these types of shippy content will make them and their wags feel. They are not characters they are real people.

Also, please stop making weird AI videos of drivers kissing. I got jump scared by a Simi one yesterday.

Tldr: Please practice proper fandom etiquette. Especially when it comes to RPF's. And stop using AI for creepy shit.
