So I had a thought passing through my head for floyd and just wondering along with wanting to hear some one else’s do you think floyd would break up with his partner cause het gets bored of them?,or like just doesn’t think he works well with em??
,like to me personally I think he wouldn’t specially if its a person he vibes with cause he knows while their may be boring moments theres always bound to be fun ones that follow

I've actually thought about this before too! it's a bit of a known take in the fandom, tho opinions often vary. here's what I think about it:
I think that maybe, if he gets in a relationship in a bit of a heat of the moment thing with someone he isn't close to, he might get bored and break up, yes
now, if he gets in a relationship with someone he cares about and is close to previously and has had a crush on for some time already, I don't think it'd happen. despite the constant mood changes, Floyd is someone who sticks by the side of the ones he cares about deeply, especially since it's hard to worm your way up to his heart. he seems like the type that when he actually genuinely likes someone, they never get boring for him. even if they fall into a routine of some kind and have their quiet moments, they'd remain interesting and someone worth of keeping close by!
and I think that, for him to fall in love with someone in the first place, that person would match and/or compliment his energy well, which would make them a person that wouldn't like to settle and be complacent, but someone that keeps on trying new things and to surpass their limitations, changing and improving themselves constantly! that's why I think he stays by Azul's side even after he lost everything on his overblot and could be deemed as "boring", because Azul always tries to achieve more things and reach greater heights! he doesn't settle for the minimum and keeps amplifying his goals! not only that, but Azul has managed to be in the veeeeery little circle of people Floyd genuinely cares about, so he stays loyal by his side despite what happens.
so I agree with you, anon. if Floyd likes someone, then he likes them with his whole heart. if you become one of the very few people Floyd considers himself to be close with (especially once he drops the sea life nickname he gave you), then you can be sure he'll stay by your side!
