September nights changing from warm to cool.
September days changing from long to short.
September leaves from green to gold.
The September of our days confirms natures need for constant innovation.
September urges us to begin to adapt to the coming sleep…

The dark skies and heavy clouds were, just moments before, a solid sea of churning atmosphere. The rain was pelting the windshield. Without letting the viewer see, those same clouds were silently laying a blanket of snow over the green pine forests above me.
Then as if a giant wand passed over the world, those same clouds opened. They relaxed their hold on the earth and as if to show off their work, and allowed the mountains to see the sky. At the same time, my truck came to a stop to view this perfection the rain caused.
Nature was showing off her makeover. She was smiling and allowing the world to revel in the intense handiwork she had completed. I stared. I searched the wall of the mountain for a small part that was not perfect; it did not exist. The beauty that nature created was perfect.
As I drove away, those clouds closed back on the mountain and the rain again covered the truck.
Awesome moments in time..dennis
Dragons
The night can hold many dragons.
As a child, they live under the bed.
As a teen, they hide in school tests.
As a adult, they can hide in the sky.
The building clouds on a spring evening very quickly turn into giant behemoths that spew fire and scream at the earth with voices that thunder across the plains and into the ears of the adults huddled safely fearing dragons.
Well perhaps not fearing, but certainly aware that dragons are out there,
lurking in the soft fluffy clouds of spring.
The weather is a part of nature we all need to be aware of and respect...dennis
We all walk through life not really observing the view. We put one foot in front of another as fast as we can. The destination is our goal.
I suggest, that is not always the best path. I submit that the journey is the goal. The destination is the result of the journey.
I seem to be traveling a bit slower on my journeys recently. Taking time to observe the steps in front of my feet, but not forgetting to peek back at the steps I have just past. This journey of life is not designed to be all about the result or the destination. You see, the destination is death and the result is similar. Life is, in its nature, a journey as opposed to a destination.
Live your life a bit slower and look for the forest bridges to cross. When you reach the bridge in the forest, stop and look back. Stop and look forward and thank God for the beauty of life and the wonderful experiences we encounter on the journey.
May your destination exist beyond your horizons.....dennis
The End...
The seasons come and go as the months turn from spring into fall.
The fresh buds of spring have turned into the verdant green of early summer and then to the vibrant colors of fall.
The final bit of life energy is transferred from these leaves into the host tree that they have shared for all of these months.
They gave their all and now the time has come.
The end of life so the tree may live on.
This is the way of nature.
The way of life.
The life as it is intended to be....dennis
